Summary
Genius hacker girl Luo Hetu transmigrates into a book as a tool-like cannon fodder, a useless Alpha. In the original story, she’s the male lead’s rival and the female lead’s childhood friend. Out of her deep love for the female lead, she agrees to help the male lead rise to power, taking on all the dirty and exhausting work. In the end, the male lead builds a business empire, while Luo Hetu, to fulfill the main couple’s love story, dies in prison.
Luo Hetu: Why bother?
She rejects the advances of both the male and female leads, sincerely wishes them well in their romance, and distances herself from the toxic couple. Instead, she takes a job as a net cafe manager and soon becomes the kept Alpha of the Cheng family.
One night, her cold, beautiful Omega wife sits on her lap, wrapping her arms around Luo Hetu’s neck: “I chose you only for your genes. As a kept Alpha, I’ll provide you with a luxurious life. Your job is to supply enough pheromones—don’t expect anything more.”
Luo Hetu, like a happy fool who just got a big treat, replies, “Mission accepted!”
Cold beauty: …
The Cheng family’s young lady takes in a kept Alpha—a dirt-poor but strikingly beautiful female Alpha. When she’s brought out in public, her slim waist, long legs, and the glimpse of her defined abs under her shirt’s hem are breathtaking. Just a few months after marrying into the family, Cheng Youqing is pregnant, sparking rumors in high society that this kept Alpha excels in certain areas.
The wives and daughters of other prominent families are envious, their hearts racing, yet they mock Cheng Youqing. The Cheng family is already on the decline, barely holding on thanks to Cheng Youqing’s beauty, which attracted marriage proposals from powerful families. Instead of choosing a young master from a prestigious clan and playing her cards carefully, she picks a kept Alpha who’s only good in bed. A plaything like that—why not just keep a few? The Cheng family is doomed, they say.
Five years later, the Cheng family becomes the richest in Jiang City.
Ten years later, the Cheng family dominates 80% of the nation’s internet and tech markets, with Cheng Youqing topping the billionaire rankings.
The other families are stunned. The Cheng family was practically a hollow shell, focused on traditional industries—how did they suddenly pivot to the internet? Who’s helping Cheng Youqing?!
Cheng Youqing never bothers to answer such questions. She calmly raises her children and her Alpha, thriving as a top-tier billionaire.
Luo Hetu becomes the ultimate example of a kept Alpha who went from “eating soft rice” to holding a golden bowl. People think she’s useless, unworthy of Cheng Youqing, and urge Cheng Youqing to divorce her daily. That is, until the first commercial white paper is published, and Luo Hetu’s name appears repeatedly in a key table.
Seven of the top ten companies in the country have her as their primary investor.
From then on, Luo Hetu transforms from a “useless kept Alpha” to an angel investor, a business-world koi (lucky charm), and is wildly sought after by the entire industry.
Finally, a media outlet secures an exclusive interview with Cheng Youqing. By chance, they catch a glimpse of the koi-like kept Alpha—a stereotypical shut-in—lounging in pajamas with messy hair, alternating between eating and sleeping, playing games, and casually saying, “Honey, I’ve hacked the Wang family’s computers for you.”
Cheng Youqing hums in response, “You’ll get a reward tonight.”
Luo Hetu, thrilled: “Yay!!”
