Summary
Synopsis
Saved by someone, Jiang Jinheng returned to her physical body, having lost her memory, and became the publicly acknowledged “sickly beauty” of the sect.
As fate would have it, she was soon to become the shared Master of the villain Fu Yi and the favored protagonist, Mo Tong.
According to the Heavenly Dao’s arrangement, this was the period when Mo Tong would gain his “Golden Finger” (cheat powers), leading to smooth cultivation, a widespread harem, and members ranging from the sect’s delicate junior sisters to her, the somewhat aloof Master. All would become part of his retinue.
In contrast, Fu Yi was a half-demon character who nearly lost her innocence to Mo Tong, thereby developing intense resentment. She eventually met a tragic end, being slain by her Master’s sword.
Knowing the plot, Jiang Jinheng felt pity for Fu Yi’s predicament, but she hadn’t expected the little girl to seem to avoid her.
It was normal for there to be a gap between different generations. To make Fu Yi less guarded, Jiang Jinheng even took on an alias, pretending to be a Senior Sister, hoping only to protect her.
But Jiang Jinheng didn’t know that her disguise was seen through from the very beginning.
Fu Yi had been reborn with the sole purpose of avenging her death by that sword. She had originally thought her Master was the only one in the sect who treated her kindly, only to be killed with a sword to the throat the very day she revealed her half-demon identity to Jiang Jinheng.
In this new life, she was determined to make everyone who humiliated her pay the price.
However, this life seemed different from the last. Her Master, who had never paid much attention to her, changed her identity to show her kindness. She guided her cultivation, left healing elixirs, and even dragged her sickly body to secret realms to search for treasures, offering all the best things to her.
A gift implies a motive. Fu Yi took the lessons of her previous life deeply to heart. With a cold face and an even colder heart, she kept her half-demon identity hidden, refusing to give Jiang Jinheng any trust.
It wasn’t until she experienced an illusionary dream that allowed her to see everything clearly, realizing that after all the twists and turns, her heart still held that person.
She repeatedly confessed her feelings, but after that, her Master picked up an injured fox that couldn’t even take human form. She ignored all objections, carefully nursed it, never leaving its side, and even considered carving out half of her own immortal bone just to give the stinky fox a new human body.
Under the influence of a new, heart-wrenching demonic whisper, Fu Yi could no longer sit still. She carried her Master’s Chongxiao sword to the Xuan Yun Palace, pointing the sharp edge straight at the fox nestled securely in her Master’s arms, but finally held it against her own neck.
“Master, do you prefer it… or me?”
