Synopsis

Zhu Zhenzhen transmigrated to the day the Song Manor was annihilated. In her original world, she had been the top operative of a notorious thieving organization, a solitary reed adrift in the wind.

After transmigrating, she suddenly gained a docile and adorable younger brother, no longer alone.

She initially believed her mission was simply to clear the Song Family’s name. But to her utter shock, she found herself having to manage her brother’s romantic feelings—the kind that could lead to that kind of intimacy!

Zhu Zhenzhen wrestled with her dilemma for a long time, her inner balance wavering. Just as she was about to give in, a drunken confession revealed the truth she was merely a substitute for the white moonlight in his heart.

The words froze on her lips as she snapped back to reality, deliberately distancing herself from Song Heng from that moment on.

Song Heng was still reeling when the Emperor suddenly issued a marriage decree. The imperial edict, emblazoned in bright yellow, pierced his eyes like a dagger.

He resisted with every fiber of his being, questioning the decree a thousand times.

Her calm eyes reflected Song Heng’s bewildered face. Her crimson lips parted slightly, but her words struck his heart like a heavy blow.

It was merely a case of mutual affection.

A complete madness filled Song Heng’s eyes. Zhu Zhenzhen looked at him as if she didn’t recognize him. He gritted his teeth and snarled, Red sleeves adding fragrance, never leaving my side, night after night—you promised me that yourself!

Zhu Zhenzhen’s initial reaction was Are you alright?

Later, when she recalled her past life, she realized that she had been his white moonlight all along.

The man before her, his eyes rimmed with red, tears glistening on his lashes, prompted her to reach out and wipe them away.

After a moment’s hesitation, she finally spoke …I did promise you that, but it was only because I was working.

Song Heng closed his eyes, tears streaming down his cheeks as he murmured, It doesn’t matter… You won’t be able to shake me off in this lifetime.

He had once despised her, hated her, yet now he still loved her.
