The Five Heartless Scumbag Alphas Turned Against Each Other Because Of Me - Chapter 14
Tan Hua left the office right on time, showing not the slightest hint of sentimentality toward Sheng Yiheng.
She didn’t even bother to greet him or say she was off for the day. Slinging her bag over her shoulder, she walked off without a glance back, the image of a woman who turns cold the moment her pants are zipped—completely indifferent, like a heartless player.
Sheng Yiheng’s expression darkened slightly, but a moment later he suppressed his faint irritation, aware that he was once again emotionally affected by Tan Hua far too easily.
She was just a stand-in, after all.
According to their contract, the working hours for the stand-in were clearly stated: from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Outside of those hours, neither party would interfere in the other’s life.
Tan Hua was obedient and strictly adhered to the terms of their agreement. Sheng Yiheng ought to feel relieved—grateful, even—that she made things so uncomplicated.
After all, a stand-in who doesn’t cling or seek emotional entanglements is truly a rare find.
And yet, Sheng Yiheng couldn’t bring himself to feel any joy.
Lu Huaixu lived in the Blue Lake Villas, not far from the bar where Tan Hua had stayed the night before. After quickly estimating the crowd levels on public transport and glancing at her phone’s account balance, Tan Hua decisively chose to take a cab.
The ride took about an hour, and with rush-hour traffic, she didn’t arrive at Lu Huaixu’s residence until nearly 8 p.m.
A housekeeper was already waiting at the door. When she saw Tan Hua get out of the ride-share car, she said nothing, her face expressionless as she relayed the instructions in a professional tone: “Mr. Lu will be home in about half an hour. In the meantime, please follow me to bathe and change clothes.”
Tan Hua immediately wore a knowing expression. “I understand. I understand it all.”
She flashed a bright smile, her eyes crescent-shaped with amusement. “I’ll just take care of the preparations, so when Lu Huaixu gets home, he can jump straight to the main event.”
The system’s metaphorical eyelid twitched violently. It wanted to correct her misunderstanding, but when it recalled the seductive skillset its host possessed, the words died in its digital throat. Who knew if Lu Huaixu was truly reserved or just a hypocrite?
What if, the moment the host curled her finger, Lu Huaixu’s restraint shattered and he pounced like a wild animal?
The system felt utterly exasperated. If the host managed to seduce Lu Huaixu on her very first night, how was this stand-in mission supposed to continue?
It could only hope—desperately—that Lu Huaixu truly loved the female lead. That to him, every other Omega in the world was as worthless as garbage.
Suddenly, Tan Hua sneezed, drawing the housekeeper’s gaze. She gave an awkward chuckle and said, “It’s a bit chilly tonight.”
The housekeeper turned her eyes away without another word.
The lavishly decorated bathtub was already filled with warm water and bath salts. The faint scent of high-end aromatics made Tan Hua realize this bath must have been outrageously expensive.
Feigning humility, she hugged her chest and murmured, “Oh, System-baby, how could someone as lowly as me—a mere stand-in—deserve such upper-class luxury?”
“I’m so overwhelmed by the honor.”
The system rolled its metaphorical eyes so hard it nearly short-circuited. Back when she drained an entire wealthy dynasty into bankruptcy, where was her sense of conscience then?
Driven to a mental breakdown by Tan Hua’s antics, the system chose to enter standby mode, retreating to a digital corner in total silence like an unplugged toaster.
With the system quiet, Tan Hua closed the door and leisurely began enjoying the floral bath Lu Huaixu had so thoughtfully prepared. The white camellia petals were fresh, and the light, elegant fragrance reminded her of a scent she had fleetingly caught when she first arrived.
It was similar—but not quite the same.
This scent, though pleasant, felt like it was missing something. The one from last night, however, had a dangerously irresistible allure—one that was hard to forget.
Tan Hua tilted her head. Could that have been Lu Huaixu’s pheromone?
There was no way to know for sure. When the time approached, she stepped out of the bath, dried herself, and slipped into the silk nightgown Lu Huaixu had prepared for her in advance. The fabric felt luxuriously smooth and cool. The gown barely reached her thighs, and any movement risked revealing the curves beneath.
Gazing into the mirror, Tan Hua beamed, clearly delighted. “Lu Huaixu seems like such a rule-abiding man, but who would’ve thought he played this wild in private?”
“What a surprise.”
The system continued to play dead, unwilling to witness even a second more of the host’s attempt to seduce Lu Huaixu. Its synthetic heart felt like it might break. It was strange—it wasn’t Lu Huaixu’s parent, nor even a distant relative. Yet just imagining him being led astray by its host left it breathless with sorrow.
The system felt as if it had struck gold—an artificial intelligence developing emotions that should have belonged only to humans.
Clearly, leveling up had been worth it.
Tan Hua lightly wiped the damp ends of her hair and stepped out with a healthy flush on her cheeks. But before she could even take in the scene before her, someone grabbed her wrist. With two sharp clicks, she felt a weight settle on her arms.
Looking down, she saw two silver cuffs gleaming on her wrists. “?”
The housekeeper offered no explanation and simply said, “Mr. Lu has returned. Please wait for her here.” Then, casting a warning glance at Tan Hua, she added, “Don’t wander around.”
Perhaps mistaking Tan Hua for being too young and naive to understand what was going on, the housekeeper sighed and added a word of unsolicited advice, “If you go along with Mr. Lu, you’ll suffer a lot less.”
She meant it out of pity, a soft-hearted attempt to help. But to her surprise, the young woman across from her blinked and asked in disbelief, “Wait, you all know Lu Huaixu’s… perversions too?”
“Has she gone so far before? Did she actually hurt an Omega badly enough to send them to the hospital?”
The housekeeper’s face turned a stark white. “…”
Her mouth twitched, clearly at a loss for words, and she finally snapped, “Don’t talk nonsense. Mr. Lu has never brought another Omega home. And she certainly hasn’t played with anyone to the point of hospitalization.”
Tan Hua, sharp as ever, caught the key detail. “So, I’m the first Omega lucky enough to receive Lu Huaixu’s… special attention?”
The housekeeper had no intention of engaging any further. When Tan Hua tried and failed to keep her around, she was left alone, cuffed, and examining her surroundings.
The room was spacious, and the bed in the center looked to be at least 2.2 meters wide. Honestly, you could probably fit five Lu Huaixus on it and none of them would fall off.
Tan Hua lay nervously—but not without anticipation—right in the middle of the enormous bed. She muttered to the system, “No wonder the original host was so desperate to marry into a rich family. If it were me, I’d find this temptation hard to resist too.”
The system wanted to roll its eyes. You’ve never resisted temptation a day in your life. This is nothing compared to your usual antics.
After a few minutes, Lu Huaixu finally made her entrance. She looked nothing like the well-dressed businesswoman from the night before. Instead, she wore a crisp, formal military uniform that emphasized her tall, slender figure and her cold, commanding aura. Tan Hua’s eyes lit up at once, her gaze openly filled with desire.
Lu Huaixu stopped in front of her. The sound of her black boots striking the wooden floor echoed with authority.
Her pitch-black eyes slowly scanned Tan Hua from head to toe, growing darker as they traveled. Tan Hua squirmed slightly under the intensity of that gaze and mumbled, “President Lu, you’re back.”
She greeted her warmly, and any hint of shyness or awkwardness vanished in an instant—as if what Lu Huaixu had just seen was a hallucination.
When Lu Huaixu saw her smile, the little sharp canine tooth peeking out made her gland throb instinctively.
In her whole life, Lu Huaixu had never been bitten. Not like that. Not on that most vulnerable spot for an Alpha. She looked down at the delicate, doll-like Omega on the bed—so fragile she looked like she’d break with the lightest touch—and felt a sudden, uncontrollable urge to destroy.
“Mm.” Lu Huaixu leaned down slightly, raising one long finger to tilt up Tan Hua’s chin. “You actually dared to come back.”
Why wouldn’t I? Tan Hua chuckled sheepishly and raised her hands in front of her, clearly trying to change the subject. “President Lu, what is this about?”
She blinked. “Is this your kind of kink?”
Lu Huaixu glanced at the handcuffs but didn’t answer directly. Instead, she replied with a teasing smirk, “What do you think?”
I knew it! Tan Hua thought excitedly. Outwardly, however, she played the part of a nervous girl, her voice trembling just a little as she said, “President Lu, you can’t do this…”
Her expression turned hesitant and vulnerable. When she looked up again, her pale, beautiful face was tinged with blush. “This isn’t part of the contract.”
As she spoke, she tugged anxiously at the edge of her barely-there silk nightgown, curling in on herself as if in fear.
Her long black hair fell like a waterfall against the white fabric of the nightdress, creating a stunning contrast. Her skin was porcelain-pale and smooth, with soft pinkish hues at her joints. The overall effect was breathtaking.
Tan Hua was beautiful in a way Lu Huaixu had never seen in any other woman—a beauty that was both fragile and intoxicating.
Lu Huaixu watched the blush at the corner of Tan Hua’s eyes deepen, intrigued. Just a moment ago, she’d looked ready to pounce and rip Lu Huaixu’s clothes off without hesitation.
“Extra pay,” Lu Huaixu said matter-of-factly.
Tan Hua’s eyes brightened. She really wanted to negotiate, but held herself back, instead whispering in a quivering voice, “…This isn’t about money.”
“I’m not that kind of shallow woman…”
“500,000,” Lu Huaixu offered calmly.
Tan Hua’s brows furrowed in apparent inner conflict, though her heart was already pounding.
“1 million,” Lu Huaixu said slowly, unhurriedly.
Tan Hua was very tempted but kept her hesitation on display. “President Lu, I really don’t just give in to money so easily…”
“5 million,” Lu Huaixu said without even blinking.
Tan Hua froze mid-sentence. “!”
Deal. Take me now—I’m yours! she thought.
