The Five Heartless Scumbag Alphas Turned Against Each Other Because Of Me - Chapter 3
Lu Huaixu had originally scheduled two hours for their meeting, but something came up and delayed her. By the time she returned home, more than half the time had already slipped away.
It wasn’t Tan Hua’s fault, though. She had been more than willing to take things further with her.
Feeling a little disappointed, Tan Hua complained to the system,
“Of all the times the original host could’ve scheduled her next client, why did she have to book Wen Chuan right after Lu Huaixu? Didn’t she ever think—what if something steamy actually happened tonight?”
“Isn’t pulling two shifts in one night the most cost-effective way to make money?”
The system responded with a flat, deadpan tone,
“Also, the scenario you’re imagining is… statistically impossible.”
Then it launched into a forced lecture:
In the past, Lu Huaixu had been as cold inside as she was on the outside. Most Omegas would flee at the sight of her. But Cheng Yuan wasn’t like most. She greeted Lu with warmth, clung to her shamelessly, and proactively sought her out. Cheng Yuan was beautiful, radiant, and disarmingly genuine. Eventually, that relentless sunshine melted Lu Huaixu’s frozen heart.
She began to feel something she couldn’t name.
Unfortunately, Cheng Yuan was a notorious heartbreaker—flirt and flee, never look back. When Lu Huaixu finally realized she had been nothing more than another victory in Cheng Yuan’s romantic conquests, her affection twisted into resentment. Love turned to hate.
But no matter how much she claimed to hate Cheng Yuan, she couldn’t forget her.
Lu’s feelings grew warped over time, a complicated tangle of longing and bitterness. She couldn’t let go.
In the original novel, Lu Huaixu was the most popular Alpha after Cheng Yuan returned to the country—the top fan favorite among all five.
So the scenario Tan Hua was imagining—passionate sparks and impulsive indulgence—was pure fantasy.
Finding a stand-in had already been Lu Huaixu’s boldest act, and it terrified her that Cheng Yuan might one day find out. Getting physically involved with another Omega? In Lu Huaixu’s mind, absolutely impossible.
Even if she used others to fill the void, her heart—and body—belonged to Cheng Yuan.
She was like a chaste martyr guarding her temple, untouched even after all these years.
The system’s throat felt dry after all that exposition. It hoped the long-winded explanation would help Tan Hua drop her ridiculous fantasies. But when it glanced at her, Tan Hua’s eyes were sparkling with anticipation.
“Still not over the heroine? Still saving both your heart and your body for her?”
The system had a terrible feeling about what would come next. And rightly so.
“Well, isn’t that just perfect—” Tan Hua beamed.
“I love these emotionally torturous forbidden love stories where the stand-in ends up becoming the real deal!”
The system: “…???”
Please, I’m begging you—just do the revenge arc and leave. Why must you drag me through this hell?!
It internally curled up into a self-pitying ball.
Tan Hua, meanwhile, turned her attention back to Lu Huaixu, the look in her eyes now a silent question.
Lu Huaixu had been holding it together—until Tan Hua had said that line:
“Three minutes should be enough, right?”
She laughed out of sheer disbelief. That kind of laugh you give when you’re so mad, it circles back to calm. Her icy pheromones surged in waves as she leaned in, suffocating in their intensity.
“What do you think?”
Three minutes? The audacity.
Lu Huaixu’s hand rose slowly, wrapping gently around Tan Hua’s shoulder and gliding to the sensitive gland at the back of her neck. At the lightest touch, Tan Hua jolted as if electrocuted. Her body curled up instinctively, and she stammered out a weak protest—
“…Don’t.”
Gone was the cheeky grin. Her brows furrowed, and the corners of her eyes turned a delicate red. Her wide, watery eyes filled with uncertainty and fear. She placed her soft hands on Lu Huaixu’s arm, pushing weakly.
“President Lu…”
But Lu didn’t stop. Her fingers continued to circle her gland, eliciting deeper shivers. Tan Hua’s body curled tighter. That primal fear unique to Omegas gripped her nerves. Her instincts screamed at her to run, but Lu Huaixu pulled her back and pressed her firmly against the bed.
In that moment, Tan Hua’s heart pounded wildly, breath coming in short gasps. A hot, swelling sensation spread from her neck through her entire body, making her skin flush and her mind spin.
“What’s wrong?” Lu Huaixu asked in a slow, husky tone. Her fingers stroked lazily, eyes narrowed with amusement. A teasing smile tugged at her lips.
“Don’t you like it?”
She wasn’t stupid. Or blind.
Tan Hua’s flustered face, the heat radiating from her skin, her trembling lashes—it was all plain as day. Even if she had been blind, the rising temperature of Tan Hua’s body beneath her fingers would’ve told her everything.
This woman… had a very dangerous mind.
Tan Hua gulped hard, then slowly lifted her arms and looped them around Lu Huaixu’s neck from behind, drawing her in.
“I do,” she whispered.
“And I want more, President Lu.”
She acted shy, but her flirtation was on point. She knew exactly how to tempt Lu Huaixu into crossing the line.
Lu paused, her emotions visibly struggling. But under Tan Hua’s relentless allure, her self-restraint wavered. She slowly leaned in.
Their proximity erased any remaining personal space. Lu Huaixu’s pheromones grew stronger—sharp, heavy, addictive. Like lightning striking dry brush, a fire sparked between them, threatening to ignite everything.
The rich scent of pheromones saturated the entire room in an instant. Lu Huaixu’s pitch-black eyes darkened further, the pressure of her overwhelming presence making Tan Hua’s body stiffen. She could barely summon a single rebellious thought.
Lu Huaixu looked down at her with an almost tender gaze, clearly amused by her struggling expression.
“Uncomfortable?”
Her voice was low and hoarse, steeped in intensity.
Tan Hua gave a tiny nod… then a quick shake of the head. Her arms looped gently around Lu Huaixu’s neck, pulling her in closer, so close her face nearly buried itself in Lu’s chest.
Lu Huaixu froze—just for a second.
And in that instant of hesitation, Tan Hua seized her moment. She twisted her body, slipped out from beneath Lu Huaixu, and bit down hard on the soft skin at the back of her neck—right where the gland was most sensitive.
A perfect hit.
A low growl of pain escaped Lu Huaixu’s throat, followed by a surge of dangerous pheromones that exploded like a tidal wave against Tan Hua’s every nerve.
But there was no time to check the damage.
Tan Hua scrambled off the bed like a wildcat, bolted for the door, and shouted back as she ran,
“Don’t forget to send tonight’s payment, President Lu~!”
Her voice was sweet as syrup—so deliberately out of place in the moment that it only enhanced the irony.
Behind her, Lu Huaixu clutched her neck, the pain sharp enough to make her vision blur for a moment. She stared after Tan Hua’s rapidly disappearing figure, then, after a long pause…
Laughed.
Low. Dangerous. Amused.
Just like Cheng Yuan.
No—worse.
Because Cheng Yuan had never once turned around and bit her right after seducing her into vulnerability.
For a split second back there, Lu Huaixu had genuinely thought she might die at thirty and be reunited with her ancestors in the afterlife.
She slowly lowered her hand. A smile tugged at the corner of her lips—dangerous and laced with something feral.
These Omegas really didn’t know how to hold back.
But what surprised her was this: Did Tan Hua really not consider the consequences if she failed to escape?
Meanwhile, Tan Hua was sprinting down the hallway, gasping for breath, her stomach cramping from effort. Of course she knew what would happen if she failed to get away. That was the whole point.
But unfortunately, she had another client to meet tonight.
She felt deeply regretful—she’d had a whole duck in her hands, and now it had flown away. She huffed at the system in frustration.
“My dear system, your next client better be more satisfying than Lu Huaixu, or—”
She smiled sweetly. The system shuddered.
“Y-you’ll love her,” the system stammered. “Wen Chuan is gentle, obedient, and completely devoted to you. She’ll soothe both your body and your soul after being… well, ravaged by President Lu.”
“Hmm, not bad logic.” Tan Hua finally showed mercy, letting the system off the hook—for now.
The system sighed in relief, though it still couldn’t resist asking,
“But Host… don’t you think biting Lu Huaixu like that might have been… a bit much? Alphas are notoriously vengeful. You basically just declared war on her authority. She’s not going to let you go easily after that.”
“So what?” Tan Hua huffed, still breathless. “She whipped me! Spanked me! We’re even now.”
“Besides,” she continued, more thoughtfully, “do you really think Lu Huaixu wants some obedient, submissive little canary? No. What she’s always been drawn to are Omegas who defy her—who challenge her dominance. That’s why she could never forget Cheng Yuan.”
Cheng Yuan had been the first Omega to completely ignore Lu Huaixu’s Alpha pressure. That resistance made her stand out. Others had feared her, tiptoed around her—but not Cheng Yuan. That defiance made her special. And because of that, Lu Huaixu had given her more patience, more leniency.
“So if I acted obedient and meek all the time, I’d be thrown out in six months max,” Tan Hua concluded with a sly smile. “If I’m going to be a stand-in, I’ll be the best damn one.”
She grinned, lips curling up with mischief.
“You wouldn’t understand, System. It’s a human kink thing.”
The system had no idea what to say to that, but it didn’t stop it from chiming in dutifully:
“Host, Wen Chuan has arrived.”
The meeting spot was right outside Lu Huaixu’s mansion.
Tan Hua raised her lashes and looked toward the gate.
Under the dim yellow glow of the streetlights, a tall and lean figure was walking toward her. The lighting blurred her features slightly, but even from a distance, the outline was striking.
Wen Chuan was tall—at least 180 cm. Her hair was short and cleanly cropped. She had a long, narrow face with sharp, aggressive features and an undeniably handsome look. A black duffel bag was slung over one shoulder, and her whole posture was slack, arrogant—like a street punk who’d dropped out of school and picked too many fights.
As she approached, a heavy scent of nicotine-laced pheromones drifted with her—a wild, reckless aroma.
Nothing like Lu Huaixu’s refined cedar elegance.
Wen Chuan was the opposite—decadent, bleak, and thoroughly corrupting. She looked like she’d drag you into the abyss and make you thank her for it.
“Why’d you pick this damn place?” Wen Chuan grumbled as soon as she got close, voice raspy and full of teen rebellion. She stopped, towering over Tan Hua, then snapped:
“What the hell are you doing out here in the middle of nowhere this late at night?”
Tan Hua blinked. Wen Chuan looked barely eighteen—her good looks were still edged with youth and rawness.
She muttered to the system, “This supporting character has no conscience. She even goes after kids.”
The system twitched but wisely said nothing.
“Working.” Tan Hua replied without blinking. “Maid job. Gotta earn my living by cleaning rich people’s homes.”
Wen Chuan froze.
Her arrogant expression crumpled. Whatever resentment she had evaporated under the weight of Tan Hua’s sincere, casual honesty. An awkward silence stretched between them before the Alpha finally lowered her head and mumbled:
“…Sorry, Mom.”
Tan Hua: “???”
Excuse me, what now?
“How old am I supposed to be?” she asked, blinking at Wen Chuan.
Wen Chuan gave her a weird look but answered honestly,
“I think… twenty-two or twenty-three?”
“And you?”
Wen Chuan straightened a little, clearly proud.
“Eighteen. I’m an adult.”
“And what did you just call me?”
“Mom,” Wen Chuan repeated with absolute seriousness.
Tan Hua: “…………”
You hear yourself? Does that sound right to you?!
