The Five Heartless Scumbag Alphas Turned Against Each Other Because Of Me - Chapter 7
With every word Tan Hua spoke, Zheng Jinyu’s face darkened another shade.
The system watched, filled with dread, terrified that Zheng Jinyu would just deck the host on the spot. Thankfully, Zheng Jinyu was still a woman of refinement—no matter how furious she got, she still maintained proper Alpha decorum toward an Omega—
That thought hadn’t even finished forming when Zheng Jinyu lifted her hand.
The system immediately slapped its metaphorical hands over its eyes. It couldn’t bear to witness the impending tragedy.
Tan Hua, too, was startled by the sudden movement. For a second, she thought, No way—is this going to be a domestic violence arc? Is this body cursed to attract violent Alphas or what?!
But before the thought finished, Zheng Jinyu’s hand had gently landed on the side of her face. Cool fingers softly tucked a strand of her black hair behind her ear.
“You…” Zheng Jinyu paused, then said, “You’re different today.”
Tan Hua’s heart skipped a beat.
“Very different,” Zheng Jinyu added.
Uh-oh. Panic flared in Tan Hua’s chest. Could it be—has she noticed the soul inside this body has changed? That I’m not the original Tan Hua anymore?
“I see,” Zheng Jinyu said, looking intrigued. “So this is your newest little tactic to get my attention?”
Tan Hua: “……”
Completely speechless.
“Not bad,” Zheng Jinyu said generously. “Much more creative than your old, worn-out tricks.”
Tan Hua: “???”
“You did well. I’ll transfer you some pocket money later—go buy yourself some new clothes,” Zheng Jinyu added, eyeing Tan Hua’s too-skinny frame. “And stop obsessing over losing weight. Eat more.”
Tan Hua: “???” Cue confused black man meme face.
What was happening? Weren’t they just fighting a minute ago? Now she was getting money transfers and warm, doting wife energy like this was some sort of bizarre domestic drama?
Completely thrown off by this big-boss behavior, Tan Hua was still rational enough to know one thing—never reject free money.
So she immediately switched to her flattery mode, all smiles and brown-nosing.
“Thank you, Miss Zheng! May you live a long and peaceful life!”
For a second, Zheng Jinyu’s gentle expression cracked—just a twitch—but it was quickly replaced by composure.
“Your heat’s coming soon. Don’t go back to that crappy little rental. I’ve already had everything prepared—your inhibitors, supplements, all taken care of. Just head over.”
“Thank you again, beautiful, kind, and generous Miss Zheng!”
Then she froze.
“…Wait, what did she just say? Inhibitors? Supplements? I’m going where exactly?”
The system explained:
“Zheng Jinyu bought a house specifically for the original host. It’s fully stocked with everything an Omega might need, especially for getting through a heat safely.”
“…Did the original go?”
“No,” the system answered after a glance at the plotline. “She refused. She only trusted Mu Wanyi and believed Zheng Jinyu was insulting her with such ‘charity.’”
Tan Hua: “?”
“The original host wanted to be the wife of a powerful Alpha—someone who’d dote on her, not throw her bones like a stray dog. She saw Zheng Jinyu’s gesture as pity, not care.”
“She’d rather shamelessly ask Mu Wanyi for help than accept Zheng Jinyu’s offer.”
“She wanted to prove she wasn’t like other Omegas. That she had pride. That she wouldn’t accept handouts.”
Tan Hua nodded.
“Ambition, admirable. Strategy, completely misguided.”
Just then, Zheng Jinyu cut in, interrupting her conversation with the system.
“You really don’t want to come home with me?”
Tan Hua wasn’t stupid. She immediately shook her head like a rattle drum.
“Nope.”
With money in her pocket and time to kill, there was no way she’d pass up this chance to indulge. Being surrounded by attentive Alphas, bathing in compliments and pheromones—what Omega wouldn’t want that?
Going home with Zheng Jinyu? Who knew what might happen midway.
Right now, she had no real property or safe place to stay besides that broken rental. Her plan was to spend the night at the bar and, first thing in the morning, find a real estate agent and buy a proper apartment.
Who knew how long this mission would take? She wasn’t about to suffer through it unnecessarily.
“Fine.” Seeing that Tan Hua was determined to stay, Zheng Jinyu didn’t press her anymore. But then her tone changed slightly.
“In that case, I’m staying too.”
Tan Hua shot her a look.
“You want to party too?”
Zheng Jinyu gave her a soft smile—gentle, yet unnervingly dangerous.
“What do you think?”
Tan Hua immediately shut her mouth and dared not ask again. She led Zheng Jinyu back to the booth like a well-behaved kitten.
Mu Wanyi looked at Zheng Jinyu with evident unease, then shifted her gaze back to Tan Hua.
“Why are you two back?”
“Wanyi, what kind of question is that?” Tan Hua’s expression was full of mock heartbreak. “I came back to keep partying with the Alphas, of course! Don’t tell me—you were planning to hog both of them for yourself? We’ve been friends for so many years, basically sisters from different misters, and now you’re pulling this?”
Mu Wanyi: “?”
With how tragically betrayed Tan Hua looked, anyone watching might think Mu Wanyi had stolen her rich, handsome husband.
Something’s off with Tan Hua today—that was Mu Wanyi’s conclusion after careful consideration. Maybe it was stress. After all, Omega hormones during heat season weren’t exactly stable.
So, for once, she decided to let it go.
“You’re overthinking it,” she said flatly.
“I don’t swing that way.”
Her tone was full of disdain, obviously trying to imply Tan Hua was just a shameless, vulgar Omega.
To her surprise, Tan Hua beamed with relief.
“Wanyi, you’re so good to me. You always think of me when there’s something nice.”
“Words can’t express how grateful I am. I’ll drink to that!”
Mu Wanyi barely resisted the urge to roll her eyes as she watched Tan Hua down a full glass.
Then she asked, “Why is Zheng Jinyu still here?”
“Oh, her?” Tan Hua didn’t even blink. “Maybe she’s just curious how Omegas and Alphas party together.”
The words had barely left her mouth when a strange jolt of numbness zipped through Tan Hua’s body—tingling, with a sharp flash of pain. She instinctively tried to cry out, but before she could, the system shrieked in her mind:
“AAAHHH—!!”
Tan Hua’s eyes flew open wide in alarm.
“What’s going on?! System, why are you screaming like that?!”
“Host… watch your mouth…” the system whimpered, its tone full of suffering. “You triggered a rule breach. We both got punished by the main system.”
“If you keep talking like that—breaking character settings, dragging down the protagonist’s image—we’re just going to get electrocuted more and more.”
Tan Hua: “???”
“Why didn’t you warn me sooner?!”
After scolding the system, she immediately switched to her usual flattery mode.
“System baby, you’re amazing… enduring this punishment alongside me… I hereby declare you the love of my life!”
The system didn’t want to be the love of her life.
Who could’ve predicted that after Tan Hua got the better of the main system in the last world, it would create a tailor-made punishment mechanism just for her?
Even worse—it dragged this system down with her, purely out of spite.
The main system must be a Scorpio moon, the system thought, filled with tears. All it ever wanted was to do its job, but now? It had to manage its Host, survive from above, and suffer below. Actually, come to think of it… it had always been crushed under Tan Hua’s heel, used as her personal accomplice in crime.
Fortunately, the electrical punishment ended quickly, and the pain faded.
Tan Hua, now suspicious, glanced at the serene and elegant Alpha beside her—someone who seemed completely out of place in this flashy bar.
Just to confirm something, she smiled sweetly and asked:
“Miss Zheng, do you want to order a couple of Omegas too?”
Zheng Jinyu looked over without a word, expression unreadable.
Tan Hua covered her mouth and giggled.
“What, too proud to admit it—?”
ZAP.
Both she and the system screamed in unison.
The system was panicking now, half-furious and half-terrified. When it finally spoke, its voice was a hushed warning:
“…Host?”
What the hell did you just say?!
Tan Hua trembled slightly from the residual jolt but quickly straightened her back, pretending to be calm under the system’s disbelieving gaze.
With a relaxed smile, she opened her mouth and said,
“That felt… amazing.”
System: “!”
If the main system heard that, it would probably crash on the spot from pure rage.
Who would’ve guessed this woman was a masochist who doesn’t play by any rules?!
The more it zapped her, the more she liked it. Absolute lunatic.
At this point, the system seriously suspected that its lovely host might start provoking the five leads just for the thrill of it.
To be fair, Tan Hua was tempted. But the unexpected jolt still stung enough that she decided to pause—for now. So she looked at Zheng Jinyu with a bright smile and said gently,
“Don’t be mad. I was just messing around.”
Mu Wanyi, seated to the side, was holding her breath, bracing for the bar to be turned into rubble by an enraged Alpha. But clearly, she had underestimated Zheng Jinyu’s composure.
Zheng Jinyu smiled faintly, her tone warm and calm.
“It’s fine. As long as you’re happy.”
Mu Wanyi blinked in surprise, then felt a strange and growing discomfort.
Zheng Jinyu—such an elegant, powerful Alpha—was actually letting herself be toyed with by Tan Hua? And spoiling her like this?
Jealousy crawled into her chest, making her expression turn sour.
At that moment, the two Alphas Tan Hua had ordered earlier arrived. She looked them over—good-looking, sure, but they still couldn’t compare to Zheng Jinyu, Wen Chuan, or Lu Huaixu.
Those three were true elites—born into wealth and power, refined from head to toe, and carrying S-rank pheromones that could crush 99% of the population with a single glance.
Still, Tan Hua wasn’t looking for deep connections—just a little fun. So she kept her tone casual and pointed at the seats on either side of her.
“Come sit here. One on each side. Don’t fight.”
But the two Alphas exchanged uneasy glances and looked toward Zheng Jinyu. Just standing near her made their instincts recoil—they could feel the oppressive pressure of someone far above them. Neither dared to make a move.
Seeing that they were frozen in place, Tan Hua reached out to pull one of them over—only to have her wrist grabbed first.
“Miss Zheng, I think I made myself pretty clear earlier,” she said automatically, thinking it was Zheng Jinyu again. She turned to argue—
Only to come face-to-face with a sharp, youthful face, still carrying traces of immaturity beneath the cold arrogance.
Wen Chuan.
Her expression was dark as she stared at Tan Hua.
“What a coincidence. Fancy running into you here.”
“So what now? You chased me away earlier just to sneak off behind my back and party in a bar?”
Tan Hua: “???”
Chased you away? You walked out on your own! And more importantly—why are you even here, you brat?!
Mu Wanyi picked up on the tense air crackling between them. Though she didn’t know who Wen Chuan was or what sort of messy history she had with Tan Hua, that didn’t stop her from seizing the moment to perform as the righteous bestie.
With the self-righteous conviction of a soap opera heroine, she declared:
“Of course that’s why we’re here.”
Wen Chuan looked over, and Mu Wanyi instinctively shrank back—but the thrill of seeing Tan Hua finally get a taste of her own medicine overpowered the fear.
She boldly continued,
“Why else come to a bar if not for fun and excitement? Honestly, if the timing were better, we’d be going full wild tonight.”
She even shook her head with exaggerated regret.
“These Alphas… still not enough, really.”
Tan Hua: “……???”
Excuse me?? Wanyi, I did not know you were this kind of Omega!
