Can I still be saved? [Transmigration] - Chapter 45.2
Su Yunjing and Fu Hanzhou weren’t interested in making friends, so they picked a quiet seat.
Not long after, Tang Wei came back grinning ear to ear, snatching a slice of pizza off Su Yunjing’s plate.
Munching on his seafood pizza, Tang Wei eagerly shared the ‘intel’ he’d just gathered. “I asked around, turns out this place has a bar, a dance floor, and even a chill lounge bar where you can drink and chat.”
Neither Su Yunjing nor Fu Hanzhou seemed the least bit interested in his ‘intel’.
Out of courtesy, Su Yunjing put down the bite of pizza he had in his mouth and listened.
Fu Hanzhou, on the other hand, couldn’t be bothered. He picked up Su Yunjing’s slice and bit down exactly where Su Yunjing had bitten.
Tang Wei went on, “They say at midnight there’s some… exciting performances. Should we go check it out?”
Su Yunjing had only grabbed two slices, and before he even got a proper bite, they were both gone. He wasn’t in the mood to listen anymore and simply raised an eyebrow at the little cool tsundere across from him.
His eyes silently asked: You ate my pizza. What am I supposed to eat now?
Fu Hanzhou slid the chocolate croissant from his own plate over to him.
One corner of the croissant had already been bitten into, revealing the gooey chocolate filling inside.
For some reason, the little cool tsundere had recently developed a taste for chocolate.
Not only did he like eating it himself, but he often fed Su Yunjing with him too.
With no other choice, Su Yunjing picked it up.
Meanwhile, Tang Wei devoured an entire pizza in just two bites. Noticing that the other two seemed distracted, he frowned and asked. “Did you guys even hear what I said? Let’s go see the nightlife tonight, yeah?”
Su Yunjing blinked, confused. “What did you just say?”
Tang Wei: “…”
If Fu Hanzhou weren’t sitting there, Tang Wei would’ve cursed them out already. So he’d been talking all this time, and neither of them heard a damn word?
Annoyed, Tang Wei picked up a steak knife, ready to snatch some sashimi from Su Yunjing’s plate, only to be met with Fu Hanzhou’s icy glare.
Tang Wei didn’t dare provoke him. Feeling wronged, he put the knife down just as Lin Lie arrived with two plates of food.
The moment he sat down, Tang Wei snatched one plate away.
Lin Lie knew Tang Wei had sticky fingers and didn’t bother arguing.
Seeing Su Yunjing and Fu Hanzhou uninterested in the bar, Tang Wei turned to Lin Lie and started showing off.
“When I step up, it’s never ordinary. Tonight, big brother here will show you what real nightlife is.”
Lin Lie gave him a thumbs up. “Boss Tang, amazing. With your English that is bad, and you can still communicate with foreigners.”
Tang Wei loved being praised, especially when it came from Lin Lie’s usually snarky mouth.
“Of course,” he said smugly, leaning back in his chair like some underworld boss. “When I roam the streets, it’s my quick wit that keeps me alive. Doesn’t matter where they’re from, I can talk to anyone.”
Lin Lie eyed him, looking like his tail was about to wag right off, and said, “Boss Tang, do me a favor, check your back pocket.”
Tang Wei was wearing a pair of trendy faded jeans. His skin was a healthy tan from all the sports and workouts he did, his muscles tight and toned, even showing faint abs.
He never put anything in his back pockets, but Lin Lie wouldn’t say that for no reason.
Puzzled, Tang Wei reached back and pulled out a small square package.
At this time, these things weren’t common. Even in ads, the packaging was so vague you couldn’t tell what it was unless you already knew.
But anyone who knew, knew. Su Yunjing had never used one, but it still fell within his knowledge range.
The moment he saw the packaging, Su Yunjing knew exactly what it was.
Although Tang Wei always had a dirty mouth, in reality he was still a novice, pretty much clueless when it came to this stuff.
“The hell is this crap? Who put this in my pocket?”
He frowned and squinted at the text.
He couldn’t read the English, so he went for the Chinese.
“Natural latex condom… fvck, who’s the pervert putting this in my pocket?” Tang Wei flung it away like a hot potato.
“Was it you? Lin, you bastard, what the hell is in your brain all day? Is this all you think about?”
Lin Lie waited for him to finish ranting before speaking calmly, “Boss Tang, don’t pin this on me. I don’t have that kind of stuff. That foreigner you were chatting with just now gave it to you.”
Tang Wei didn’t buy it. “Bullshit. They’re all men. Why would they give it to me?”
“Why else? Obviously they want to use it on you. Boss Tang, with your charm, catching the eye of a few foreign guys isn’t exactly hard, is it?”
Lin Lie smirked. “Some men like to pick other men.”
Tang Wei’s worldview nearly collapsed. Instinctively, he refused to believe it, but then he remembered, when he was talking with those guys earlier, one of them had slapped his ass.
He hadn’t thought much of it at the time, just assumed it was some foreign way of saying hello.
Tang Wei’s neck stiffened as he slowly turned his head to look at the men he’d just been chatting so happily with.
Su Yunjing glanced over too, but Fu Hanzhou immediately covered his eyes.
Fu Hanzhou didn’t want him to see. Instead, he followed Tang Wei’s gaze and saw a group of men with sharp features and deep-set eyes.
When Tang Wei looked over, they looked back.
Noticing the condom in his hand, their eyes took on an ambitious glint.
And when their eyes landed on Fu Hanzhou, the most strikingly handsome one at the table, their gazes lit up, raking over him from head to toe.
Fu Hanzhou suddenly recalled Lin Lie’s words: Some men like to pick other men.
He didn’t care about how they looked at him. But the thought of them looking at Su Yunjing that way? It made him feel filthy.
They dirtied Su Yunjing’s sight.
Tang Wei had seen on TV that there were people in the world who liked the same s3x, but he’d never witnessed it in real life, so he never had a concept of it.
Now that such men were right in front of him, slipping a condom into his pocket with such an obvious sexual hint, he was so angry that his head was about to burst into flames.
“You saw them put that in my pocket, didn’t you?” Tang Wei growled at Lin Lie, his voice low but unable to conceal his anger. “Why the hell didn’t you warn me?”
Lin Lie’s smile vanished. In the cold white light, his eyes were frosty, his expression utterly detached.
“I told you to leave earlier. You insisted on staying. Are you three years old? Need me to spell out every danger for you?”
Tang Wei glared daggers at him, fists clenched, muscles twitching in his arms.
“Grow a brain. This time they only slipped something into your pocket. Next time, what if they drug you and drag you to a hotel?”
Lin Lie picked the condom off the floor and handed it back, his eyes sharp as a blade. “Don’t take it out on me. Throw this in their faces and tell them this.”
He taught Tang Wei a phrase in English.
Su Yunjing, not good at English himself, leaned over to Fu Hanzhou and asked. “What did he say?”
Fu Hanzhou bent close to his ear and whispered the translation.
Su Yunjing: …Damn, Lin Lie’s mouth is so vicious?
Fu Hanzhou glanced at the pink powder Su Yunjing’s ears, then closed his eyes and rested his head on Su Yunjing’s shoulder, nudging his head into place.
“Don’t look at them. It’ll dirty your eyes.”
“What if a fight breaks out?”
Su Yunjing tensed when he saw Tang Wei striding over with the condom in hand.
But the little tsundere wouldn’t let him look—a cool hand covered his eyes, no matter how much he tried to pry them off.
All he heard was Tang Wei’s loud, booming curse that carried across the entire restaurant.
They were the ones who’d approached him first. Tang Wei, being his usual hospitable self, had just chatted to pick up some info about local fun spots.
How could he have known those bastards had ulterior motives?
Everyone in the restaurant was staring at them. Tang Wei didn’t feel embarrassed at all. If anything, he thought it was right to expose these pervs for everyone to see.
Touch his ass? Was he, Master Tang, someone they could just grope?
With his shouting, the whole restaurant now knew about this little thing.
The foreigners’ faces turned dark, but with so many people around, they didn’t dare do anything. They slunk off, humiliated.
“Idiots. Don’t let me see you again. If I do, I’ll beat your asses every time.”
Having yelled, Tang Wei finally felt satisfied and returned to the table, only to get another round of scolding from Lin Lie.
Shen Nianyun had arranged a private butler for them. If the butler didn’t mention certain ‘activities’, that meant it wasn’t suitable for their age group.
Midnight ‘exciting activities’? Anyone with half a brain could guess it was adult entertainment.
In this country, strip shows weren’t illegal, and there were even male dancer shows, plenty exciting for someone like Tang Wei.
But after tonight’s disgusting incident, all his excitement fizzled.
All Su Yunjing wanted now was sleep. He and Fu Hanzhou went back to their room.
After brushing his teeth, Su Yunjing came out of the bathroom and found Fu Hanzhou staring out the window at the snowy night.
The floor-to-ceiling window reflected his high brow, sharp nose, and lips pressed into a straight line—his expression was calm but tinged with melancholy.
Su Yunjing was a little worried and walked over. “What’s wrong?”
Fu Hanzhou suppressed his emotions and said, “Nothing. Just… thinking, men can like men too.”
Su Yunjing thought the events of the evening had shaken his worldview. Even in his own time, though society joked freely about it and acceptance seemed high, there was still a stigma when someone nearby turned out to be gay.
“Well… it’s about mutual respect,” Su Yunjing said carefully. “Liking men is fine, but don’t go flirting with straight guys. Other than that, it’s just a personal preference, right? Nobody says you have to like the opposite s3x. As long as it doesn’t hurt anyone, it’s fine.”
Fu Hanzhou looked at him, eyes dark.
“Then… are you straight?”
Su Yunjing froze, then laughed.
“What, worried my straight heart will fall for your pretty face, and I’ll start drooling over your body?”
Fu Hanzhou’s throat bobbed, his voice low and husky, “Why can’t it be me coveting you… chasing after you?”
Su Yunjing joked back, “Because you’re better looking. If anyone’s drooling, it should be me over you.”
Fu Hanzhou’s eyes curved, the sharpness at their corners softening into something impossibly tender.
“Then go ahead. Covet me.”
Su Yunjing suddenly felt something was off about those words.
“Wait… by ‘covet,’ do you mean that kind of covet…?”
