A Pair of Evil Women's Love - Chapter 48
Chapter 48: [VIP]
“How do I look in this outfit?” Gu Jingjing turned to Fu Haitang, showing it off.
Fu Haitang touched her chin and thought seriously. “It’s beautiful, but here,” she pointed at Gu Jingjing’s waist, “it’s a bit plain.”
Gu Jingjing twisted to look in the mirror. “It does seem so.”
“Young Miss,” Fu Haitang said with a smile, leaning closer. She took off her striped silk scarf, folded it into a rose, and pinned it to Gu Jingjing’s waist with her own brooch. “What do you think of this, Young Miss?”
Gu Jingjing: “Hmm, not bad. A ruby brooch in the middle of a black and white rose. Your taste is good.”
Fu Haitang smiled, then awkwardly touched her own chest. She was wearing a white outfit, a shirt with two buttons undone, revealing her collarbone. The bottom was a pair of high-waisted white pants that were both casual and professional. The silk scarf and brooch were her accessories.
With them gone, Fu Haitang’s outfit instantly became unremarkable, relying solely on her figure and face.
Gu Jingjing scoffed and took out a black card with two fingers, handing it over. “Pay for it.”
“Yes.” Fu Haitang took it with both hands. As she went to the counter to pay, she also checked her work messages. She had received a message from Gu Jingjing as soon as the meeting ended. Her task was to accompany her shopping.
After all her work was assigned, Fu Haitang set aside two hours to pick up Gu Jingjing. The TV station was recording a celebration party tonight, and the news about the show going on a satellite channel would be announced to the trainees at that time.
Fu Haitang had already revealed the news to Gu Jingjing in advance. Gu Jingjing had finally won first place in the dance group, and she wanted to shine at the celebration party and outshine all the other girls!
Gu Jingjing: “What do you think Fu Yilan will wear tonight?”
Fu Haitang was stunned. She was carrying Gu Jingjing’s many bags, following the Young Miss. “Young Miss, I don’t know.”
Gu Jingjing straightened the small hat on her head, snorted, and walked into the next luxury store. Fu Haitang caught up, held the glass door open, and handed the diamond membership card to the sales assistant.
The sales assistant took the card with both hands. After the two of them entered, she flipped the “Open” sign outside to “Closed” to provide a private shopping experience for Gu Jingjing. “Please come in, ladies.”
“Rich snobs!” a consumer who had been asked to leave muttered, walking away in annoyance.
Fu Haitang covered her mouth with a smile and began to accompany Gu Jingjing to buy other clothes.
In a corner, a row of intimate clothes hung. Triangular cups and fabric, with red silk ribbons connecting them. Fu Haitang stared at the clothes, lost in thought. She couldn’t help but wonder what they would look like on Fu Yilan.
A handful of fabric, and then it would be thrown at her face. It definitely wouldn’t be half-wet like the one this morning. It would be completely soaked, and with a slight squeeze, water would wring out of it, dripping…
Fu Haitang’s face flushed with the thought. While Gu Jingjing was changing clothes, she picked out one black and one white piece. She didn’t even ask for a bag when she paid, just folded them and put them in her handbag.
“Does this one look good?” Gu Jingjing walked out of the dressing room.
Fu Haitang carefully held her handbag with one hand, and smiled with the other. “It suits you very well.”
Gu Jingjing patted her skirt. “You seem to be in a good mood?”
Time was getting late. When they arrived at the jewelry store, Fu Haitang silently sped up the process, directly asking the sales assistant to bring over the latest luxury items and new domestic styles for Gu Jingjing to choose from.
Gu Jingjing browsed the jewelry section. “Did you take some of the styles from my makeup box to wear last time?”
Fu Haitang lowered her head. “No. Those are all your favorites, Young Miss. How… how could I…”
Gu Jingjing laughed softly and casually pointed at a few pieces of jewelry the sales assistant had brought over. “You can have these. You’re a hero for me winning the championship.”
“I ordered a cake for you, Young Miss, to celebrate your victory as the dance group champion,” Fu Haitang said with a smile.
Gu Jingjing’s face suddenly changed. “You reminded me. I did win the championship, but Fu Yilan is not only the vocal group champion but still the vote champion.”
Fu Haitang fell silent, lowering her eyes and not daring to look at Gu Jingjing. “She has too many fans now. It’s really… Young Miss, it’s too difficult to pull her down from the vote championship.”
Gu Jingjing snorted. “Do you like these things?”
“Jewelry, accessories, and a RV.” Gu Jingjing stared at Fu Haitang.
Fu Haitang’s heart tightened. She knelt down with a thud. “Young Miss! I like them! Of course, I like them!”
The sales assistant’s eyes widened. Gu Jingjing was trying on jewelry, sitting on a sofa in a private room on the second floor. To make it easier for her, the sales assistant was on one knee, serving Gu Jingjing. It was obvious they were being obsequious, but it was for their job.
But Fu Haitang’s action of kneeling so easily was no different from a servant.
Servile! She had no dignity at all! The sales assistant scoffed and turned her head away in disdain.
Gu Jingjing: “I’ll only say this once. I don’t want Fu Yilan to debut. She either quits or is eliminated. If you succeed, I’ll give you 30 million in one lump sum.”
Sales assistant: “…”
The sales assistant knelt lower, her knee touching Gu Jingjing’s foot, and looked at her with a look of piety.
Fu Haitang caught a glimpse of this out of the corner of her eye. She knelt a little closer, and even more properly. Was there another “working class” person trying to steal her job?
…
Back at the TV station, it was almost ten o’clock when Fu Haitang finished her work.
The celebration party for the trainees was scheduled to start at ten. Fu Yilan showed up in a simple outfit, a stark contrast to the dozens of other trainees who were dressed to the nines.
Everyone on set was stunned.
“Hey, what’s with you?” Chen Na asked Fu Yilan.
Fu Yilan endured the stares from her surroundings. Fortunately, she was used to the camera and said with a smile, “What’s wrong?”
“The last outfit you wore was so beautiful. It was on several trending topics!” Chen Na grumbled. “And for this celebration party, you’re wearing something so plain. Tsk, Fu Yilan, you…”
Fu Yilan’s eyes lost focus.
An hour ago, Fu Haitang had sent her a text message: (For the celebration party tonight, just wear something simple. Congratulations on your three consecutive wins.)
“Hey!” Chen Na poked Fu Yilan’s shoulder. “What are you thinking about?”
Fu Yilan came back to her senses. “That last outfit cost a hundred thousand, and I only wore the skirt once before it was ruined. I’m not going to buy another expensive dress like that.”
Chen Na: “By accident, you’re going to steal the spotlight again.”
Fu Yilan smiled and comforted Chen Na. “How can that be? You’re so beautiful today. How could I steal the spotlight?”
“Whoever is unique stands out! You look so good even without makeup. I can’t steal the spotlight, and with full makeup on, I’ll still be outshone by you. Darn, darn it!” Chen Na got more and more annoyed and couldn’t help but tickle Fu Yilan.
Fu Yilan’s laughter was like bells, and she twisted her body to avoid Chen Na. Not only were the Alphas and Betas watching her, but even the Omegas couldn’t take their eyes off her.
Jing Zhao had been watching Fu Yilan the whole time.
Sini smiled. “Ahem, I think everyone has eaten enough. So I’m going to announce the prize for this episode’s champion!”
Gu Jingjing looked a little interested and said with a smile, “Are we taking the posters now?”
Sini: “More than that!”
Fu Yilan looked up.
Sini announced mysteriously, “There’s another big prize!”
“Deputy Director Sini, tell us!”
“Yeah, yeah!”
“Hurry, what is it?”
“Hey, little S, you’ve been promoted and now you’re playing hard to get, huh?”
“What are you teasing me for?” Sini said coquettishly. Fu Haitang had been promoted to director and Sini was now her deputy. “Okay, I’ll tell you. It doesn’t concern anyone else for now, but this is something the two champions really have to thank our Director Fu for.”
“What is it?”
Sini: “It’s this! The two champions will be awarded a single-person luxury apartment on the 22nd floor!”
“Holy crap!”
Everyone exploded.
“A single room?”
“A furnished apartment?”
“No way. Why? If you had told us the champion could have a single room, I would have practiced until I dropped dead!”
Chen Na wailed and pounced on Fu Yilan. “Lanylan! Can I sleep on your sofa, please! Boo-hoo!”
Fu Yilan hadn’t even reacted yet and was already surrounded by other trainees.
A Station was located in the center of A City. The rent was at least 1,000 per square meter.
Sini: “And you can live in the apartment until the end of the recording!”
“Holy crap?”
The crowd went even crazier!
“Don’t we change rooms every week?”
“So will the next champion get to move into a single room as well?”
Sini shrugged. “Of course. I hope everyone works hard!”
“That’s great, Lanylan! Does this mean you can move back to the TV station and don’t have to live in that coffee shop and sleep on that camp bed anymore?” Chen Na’s words enlightened Fu Yilan.
“I had Xiaotong pack your things. I’ll have her send them over after work,” Fu Haitang’s words echoed in her ears. Fu Yilan clenched her fists, her heart feeling tight and warm.
…
“Director Fu, I’ll go pack my things and get off work now,” the assistant said, leaving the office and closing the door.
Fu Haitang finished her emails and saw that it was a quarter past twelve. The last recording for the show tonight was from ten to twelve, so Fu Yilan should be receiving the things from Ji Xiaotong soon.
The lounge wasn’t big, a small space of just over ten square meters, but it had everything. Fu Haitang took down the two sets of clean underwear that were hanging to dry, and another white one with a pattern, and packed them up before leaving the office.
The apartment had a bedroom, living room, kitchen, and a washer-dryer. Fu Yilan took a shower, slipped off her slippers, and stepped into the living room. The floor was covered with a thin rug, which was very soft, so she couldn’t feel the cold ground with her bare feet.
…
“Can you not walk around the house barefoot?” Fu Haitang scolded Fu Yilan.
Fu Yilan: “I like it.”
Fu Haitang was speechless: “…”
“Why don’t you have a rug in your house?” Fu Yilan retorted.
Fu Haitang: “I sold the rug.”
…
That morning’s conversation, a few words in less than a minute, was remembered by that person.
Fu Yilan raised her feet, then gently put them down. Her feet and toes lightly traced patterns on the rug, leaving shallow marks. There was a knock on the door. Fu Yilan’s heart skipped a beat. “Who is it?”
“It’s me.” The familiar voice.
Fu Yilan couldn’t help but smile, but she quickly suppressed it, hiding her secret joy. She asked, knowing the answer, “Who are you?”
Fu Haitang: “…”
(Stop messing around. There are a lot of people from the TV station here. Let me in quickly.)
The door opened slowly.
As soon as a crack appeared, Fu Haitang couldn’t wait and slipped inside.
“What’s the rush!” Fu Yilan exclaimed.
Fu Haitang was exasperated. “You… I shouldn’t have gotten you this room. I should have let you sleep on your camp bed!”
Fu Yilan: “Angry because I called you out?”
“There are cameras everywhere outside,” Fu Haitang emphasized.
Fu Yilan: “I checked. The two single rooms are across a corridor from each other. They were converted from the last rooms in the four-person trainee dorms, and they’re just out of the camera’s view.”
Fu Haitang’s lips curled up. “You’re so smart.”
“You did it on purpose,” Fu Yilan said.
Fu Haitang took out two large bottles of Coke. “I don’t know what you’re talking about. I’m treating you to coffee. Consider it a housewarming gift.”
For at least a month, Fu Yilan wouldn’t have to worry about her accommodation. Although the camp bed was convenient, a person needs a proper place to rest. If she continued to live like that, her body would break down sooner or later.
It was also impossible to keep living with Fu Haitang. As the show’s popularity grew, the two paparazzi who had been at the apartment complex might have been there on a whim, but it wouldn’t be the case in the future. Once Fu Haitang and Fu Yilan were photographed together, Fu Yilan could forget about having a career in the entertainment industry.
Moving out as soon as possible was the safest option.
She just hadn’t expected Fu Yilan to move out in just one week. Although it was her doing, her feelings were complicated. The soda bubbles filled her mouth. Fu Haitang puffed out her cheeks, feeling a little bittersweet. She put the drinks down and was about to leave. “Well… I’m going now.”
“Stay,” Fu Yilan said.
Fu Haitang was silent.
Fu Yilan: “Now that I’m living at the TV station, it’ll be much easier for us to have an affair.”
“Pfft!” Fu Haitang almost choked on her water. “What are you talking about!”
Fu Yilan said, “From now on, in the morning, afternoon, and evening, you’ll come here three times a day…”
“Hey!” Fu Haitang covered Fu Yilan’s mouth with her hand. “You’re really saying that out loud.”
Fu Yilan’s eyes curved. She didn’t answer, but she wasn’t completely unresponsive. Fu Haitang felt her palm get wet. She swallowed. “I can’t stay for long.”
Fu Yilan snorted softly.
She pushed Fu Haitang down, and then smirked. “This rug is so soft.”
Fu Haitang: “…”
Fu Yilan: “You chose it?”
“My assistant chose it,” Fu Haitang said. “I just gave her a general idea of the style.”
Fu Yilan: “Thank you. I really like this gift.”
Fu Haitang was pushed down. This was the second time today. Fu Yilan was taking the initiative to give her something. Her heart warmed. She knew she should leave, but… she had no resistance to Fu Yilan at all.
Fu Yilan’s imagination ran wild. There was probably no one in the world who understood Fu Haitang better than she did.
Her tongue moved over the Omega’s most private area, knowing its appearance, taste, the rhythm of its contractions, and the arousing secretions.
No one knew her better than she did.
Just thinking about it made Fu Yilan want to savor it to the fullest!
Fu Haitang arched her back, trying to push Fu Yilan away. “Stop—”
