A Pair of Evil Women's Love - Chapter 62
Chapter 62:【VIP]
Half an hour ago, the two of them had been brought into the mediation room by Fu Haitang. Now, aside from two running cameras, there were only four people present.
Fu Yilan, Fu Haitang, Gu Jingjing, and Sini — who had ditched work just to come join the fun.
As the temporary mediator, Fu Haitang looked at the two people sitting across the table.
“What happened?”
Gu Jingjing said, “She tried to molest me!”
Fu Yilan cried out in grievance, “Then why did you blush?”
“…I was angry!” Gu Jingjing almost spat bl00d.
Fu Yilan looked unconvinced. “But you look more like you were captivated by me.”
Sini covered the camera with her hand. “…Uh, can this episode even be aired?”
Fu Haitang raised a hand, signaling she wanted to say something.
Gu Jingjing sneered, “Do you think everyone is like you and would fall for an omega?”
“I don’t like omegas,” Fu Yilan said flatly.
Gu Jingjing glanced at Fu Haitang, thinking: wasn’t it said that Fu Yilan was madly in love with you?
Fu Haitang forced a laugh. “No, I…”
Gu Jingjing pressed, “Then why are you and Fu Haitang…?”
Fu Haitang’s scalp went numb.
Luckily, Fu Yilan cut in ambiguously: “She’s just prettier than most.”
Fu Haitang’s palm was drenched in sweat. Their secret had almost been exposed by Gu Jingjing.
Gu Jingjing stammered, “Don’t think just because you spout a few sweet words that I’ll… I’ll…”
“You’ll fall for me?” Fu Yilan finished the sentence.
Fu Haitang: “Hahaha!”
Gu Jingjing slammed the table. “What are you laughing at!”
Fu Haitang quickly sobered, clasping her hands together in mock apology.
“Hit a sore spot, didn’t I?” Fu Yilan shrugged.
“I’m so mad!” Gu Jingjing fumed, her head nearly smoking. “Fu Yilan, you’re shameless! I’m done. I won’t mediate, I won’t train, I won’t debut at all!”
Fu Yilan: “Then if you drop out, I’ll take the championship directly.”
“In your dreams!” Gu Jingjing snapped.
“……”
Fu Haitang, distracted, had been watching them bicker for half an hour. She buried her head in emails and looked up only to see them still going at it. She typed on her phone again.
(Don’t push her too far. If she snaps, I’ll be the one who suffers. Won’t you feel bad for me?)
By this stage, all the finalists had backgrounds, so the program team no longer bothered controlling phone use. Fu Yilan saw the message and smirked.
Fu Haitang sighed in relief, just as she was about to intervene, when a sudden kick landed on her shin.
She had to keep quiet.
Fu Yilan propped her chin with one hand, raising a brow. “Well?”
Gu Jingjing stomped. “Stay away from me.”
Fu Yilan said, “I meant — what do you think about me and Fu Haitang?”
Fu Haitang’s brows twitched, and she turned to look at her.
What do you mean by that? Her eyes asked.
Gu Jingjing: “What do you mean?”
Fu Haitang glanced at the rolling cameras. “Fu Yilan, mind your words.”
“This is too good!” Sini whispered with a stifled laugh, then ducked behind the camera. “Go on, don’t mind me.”
Fu Yilan just couldn’t stop running her mouth. Fu Haitang put her phone down. “Time’s short. Miss, Yilan, let’s just record a reconciliation segment and then—”
Fu Yilan said, “Choose — me or Fu Haitang.”
Fu Haitang: “?”
Gu Jingjing barked out a laugh. “Are we even that close? Of course I choose Fu Haitang!”
Fu Haitang: “No, miss… we’re still recording! Can’t you two take this private?”
Sini: “?”
Gu Jingjing: “? Private about what?”
Fu Yilan suddenly acted hurt, covering her face as if wiping away tears.
Fu Haitang turned aside, awkwardly tucking hair behind her ear.
“Uh… wait,” Gu Jingjing said hoarsely. “What’s with your expression? And yours! Can’t you two stop saying things that sound so misleading…”
Sini: “Hold on — Fu CEO? Miss Gu? Fu Yilan? You better not mess around at the TV station. If word gets out, how’s that going to look?”
Gu Jingjing was stunned. “I… I’m not…”
Fu Yilan winced as her leg was pinched. She looked up and met Fu Haitang’s glare.
Enough of this game?
Not yet.
Fu Haitang: “……”
“Stop playing.” She handed each of them a bottle of water. “Sini, you’ve seen enough. Go on. I’ll handle the mediation.”
The mediation room was a key highlight of the show — any trainee with conflicts would end up here.
Fu Yilan had come with Bai Lele days ago, and the two had shaken hands and made peace…
“Ahem,” Fu Haitang coughed, then coughed again. Damn, whose fault is this anyway!
“Clearly a misunderstanding, right?” she tried.
Fu Yilan leaned back, arms crossed.
Gu Jingjing exploded, “You molested me, why should I apologize? You should be the one apologizing!”
Fu Haitang: “……”
Fu Yilan: “Then let me kiss you once, and I’ll apologize.”
Gu Jingjing: “……”
Don’t corrupt the young lady, Fu Haitang thought, exasperated. They had already wasted half an hour here.
Just then, Sini messaged that Lu Jing was on his way to the station.
Fu Haitang saw the message. “Teacher Lu is about to arrive.”
“Really?” Gu Jingjing’s eyes lit up.
Fu Yilan: “I get along well with Teacher Lu. I’ll tell him I want to pursue Miss Gu.”
Gu Jingjing: “…Are you sick?”
Fu Yilan pulled out her phone. On the screen was a photo of her pressing Gu Jingjing against a wall, closing in while Gu Jingjing looked panicked.
Fu Yilan: “If I don’t say anything, I’ll just show him this.”
“……”
This was beyond Fu Haitang’s control now. She quietly rose and tried to slip out.
“Fu Haitang, where are you going? Ah—”
Fu Haitang covered her forehead, reaching for the door, but sensed someone behind her. She turned — Lu Jing was standing there.
“……”
“I heard Jingjing was giving Yilan trouble?” he asked, pushing the door open as Fu Haitang tried to close it.
“Wait—” Fu Haitang panicked. “Teacher Lu, it’s not convenient inside!”
“Teacher Lu?” The door was pulled open from within. Fu Yilan had an arm draped over Gu Jingjing’s shoulders, and they looked… oddly close.
Lu Jing frowned. “Were you two fighting?”
“Were we?” Fu Yilan smiled, tightening her arm around Gu Jingjing. “Hm?”
Gu Jingjing froze. “N-no, we weren’t fighting. Yilan and I were just playing around.”
Fu Yilan glanced at Lu Jing, then let her gaze drift and land on Fu Haitang behind him.
Their eyes met. Her smile wasn’t a smile, and Fu Haitang felt something soft in her chest melt.
…
That night after training, Gu Jingjing insisted on blocking Lu Jing in the basement.
“Brother Lu, Fu Yilan doesn’t like you at all!”
Lu Jing: “I know.”
Gu Jingjing froze. “You know? Since when?”
Lu Jing was exhausted from shuttling all day between the set and the station. “Yilan already rejected me clearly. Jingjing, when will you finally grow up?”
Gu Jingjing gripped her skirt hem. “I… I just wanted to tell you the truth, to make you give up sooner. She’s not worth it…”
Lu Jing: “Whether she’s worth it or not is for me to decide. If not Yilan today, then someone else in the future.”
Gu Jingjing lowered her head, pleading softly. “Why can’t it be me?”
“It can’t.” He flung the two words coldly.
The RV drove away. Gu Jingjing’s nose stung, tears streaming down her face.
Inside, Lu Jing rubbed his temples while his assistant massaged his legs. He had heard about Yilan and Jingjing’s quarrel, but no one knew the details — only that the two had gone into the mediation room.
Assistant: “Was it about Miss Fu?”
“Mm.” Lu Jing dropped his hand. “Tell Chen Yi to arrange a meeting with Fu Haitang.”
Assistant: “Brother Lu, you mean…?”
“Why are Jingjing and Yilan even in the same group? Did Chen Yi know about this?”
The assistant pressed his lips shut.
Lu Jing’s gaze sharpened. “Chen Yi told you to hide it from me?”
“Brother Yi just didn’t want you caught up in negative press while filming. Don’t be mad at him, he meant well…”
Lu Jing: “He dares meddle in my affairs too?”
“Lu-ge… honestly, I don’t get it either. Yilan treats you with no respect, why keep chasing after a rookie…”
“Shut up!” Lu Jing snapped.
The assistant stammered apologies, not daring to say more.
…
By the time Fu Haitang got home, it was past midnight. After a shower, she was checking emails and work messages when a WeChat request popped up — from Chen Yi.
She and Chen Yi weren’t exactly on good terms. After all, she was Lu Jing’s number-one rumored woman, and now Chen Yi was adding her back. What was he planning?
Her eyes narrowed. With the finals approaching, this must be at Lu Jing’s behest. She arched a brow and pretended not to see it, intending to sleep.
But another request popped up.
(Don’t pretend you didn’t see.)
Fu Haitang: “……”
(What’s up?) She accepted and asked.
Chen Yi: (Not convenient to say here. Come to this place tomorrow.)
He sent a time and location.
She checked her schedule from her assistant. (That time doesn’t work for me.)
Chen Yi: (???)
(Who do you think you are? Do you know who wants to see you? Who cares if you’re free or not!)
Fu Haitang: (I’m only free 2:00–2:30 in the afternoon. Half an hour. Take it or leave it. Also, that place isn’t private enough. I’m an omega, you’re an alpha.)
Chen Yi: (???)
Fu Haitang smirked. She knew it was for Lu Jing, but she was good at playing dumb. (Sorry, Mr. Chen. Guess I really can’t make it.)
Chen Yi: (Wait, let me check.)
A few minutes later.
Chen Yi: (Fine. Your time. Where?)
She picked a random café near her apartment and sent him the address.
Chen Yi: (…)
Done. Just as she was about to sleep, her phone buzzed again.
Who’s disturbing my peace in the middle of the night?
She picked it up. Before she could check the message, a video call came in.
—From Fu Yilan.
Fu Haitang: “?”
She swiped to answer. On the screen, the omega was wearing a red camisole slip dress, the silky fabric clinging low across her chest, revealing soft white curves and a deep shadowy valley.
Too dazzlingly pale. Fu Haitang’s eyes automatically locked onto that spot until a soft laugh made her lift her gaze to meet Yilan’s glistening eyes.
She curled her lips. She could practically smell Yilan’s scent through the phone. “Have you been drinking?”
The picture was wobbly, distorted. Yilan sprawled on her bed — sometimes sitting with her knees up, sometimes crawling on all fours. One moment, Fu Haitang was staring at her neckline, the next at the springtime scenery revealed between her movements.
“Fu Yilan, what exactly are you trying to do?”
“You.”
The words were so blatant that Fu Haitang was momentarily struck dumb. She licked her lips silently.
Yilan was always bold when drunk. Fu Haitang couldn’t deny she was tempted. Her mouth dry, she picked up a glass of water, sipping while never taking her eyes off the screen.
Finally, Yilan found a place to set up her phone. She crawled back onto the bed, sat close to the camera — then slipped her clothes off.
Fu Haitang: “……”
Her lips parted. Her breath fogged the glass in her hand, then cleared quickly. Yilan’s face stayed offscreen, but everything else she wanted to show was presented without restraint.
“Fu Yilan.”
“What are you doing?”
Yilan’s delicate nose scrunched as she let out a muffled moan, sweet and sultry. “I can’t sleep. I heard doing this helps, but… alone, I just can’t quite get there.”
Fu Haitang: “Do you use toys?”
“What?” Yilan blushed. “You have a problem with that?”
“I wouldn’t dare.” Fu Haitang gripped her glass tightly. She wouldn’t dare — she was greedy for more. “Lower.”
Yilan froze, nearly hurting herself with her hand, then flushed and obeyed.
“Rub.”
“Squeeze…”
“Harder, baby.”
Yilan’s toes curled. It was the first time Fu Haitang had called her that, the teasing tone laced with a dangerous intimacy. She felt humiliated, shamed, wanting to rebel — but the woman’s sharp phoenix eyes pinned her down, impossible to resist.
“Another place.” Fu Haitang ordered.
Yilan, flustered, grew more agitated. “What?”
“Go to the living room. On the carpet. I want to see you there.”
Her brain fogged with alcohol, but she still had pride. “Hey… aren’t you pushing it too far? Taking advantage, and still bossing me around.”
“Even a dog knows where to do its business.”
“Little dog.”
The string in Yilan’s head snapped.
Across the room, Fu Haitang pulled open her bedside drawer. Her pheromones had already filled the space. To prevent herself from losing control with Yilan even through the screen, she injected herself with a suppressant.
The heat drained quickly, leaving her body cool, but another kind of hunger clawed at her mind.
“You want to play a game? Fine, I’ll play with you properly.”
On screen, Yilan’s eyes grew clear and bright. The suppressant made it obvious — Fu Haitang would only be satisfied if Yilan gave in.
Yilan slowly got up, left the bedroom, and under Fu Haitang’s orders turned on every light in the living room. Curtains closed, the space was bright.
But unease surged in. Tears welled in her eyes. What she wanted was Fu Haitang’s embrace.
Instead, the woman stayed distant, voice cold, issuing one command after another.
Yilan wept pitifully, but Fu Haitang’s head pounded like an alarm. Her body was cool, but her mind was about to explode.
“Kneel.”
“I don’t want to!”
“Kneel!”
Yilan sobbed, chest heaving. “Is it because of Gu Jingjing—”
Fu Haitang: “Because of what?”
Yilan’s whole face flushed. Mishandled, she might lash out like a startled kitten.
Fu Haitang softened her voice. “Be good. Listen to me, and I’ll take my time with you. Okay?”
