A Pair of Evil Women's Love - Chapter 7
Chapter 7
Fu Yilan: “Ten yuan is enough to boss you around? I’ll give you ten yuan, you can wash my clothes, cook, and clean for me.”
Fu Haitang stared at Fu Yilan’s delicate face. Her bare face had no aggressive edge, making her seem like someone you’d want to protect, but also someone you’d want to bully. She deliberately asked, “Does that include room and board?”
She put emphasis on the word “board” and said it suggestively.
Fu Yilan sized up Fu Haitang, whose body looked great in her bodycon skirt. She nodded: “It includes board.”
The emphasis was also on “board.”
Fu Haitang clenched her fist and coughed: “Why do you talk so weirdly?”
“You’re the one who’s weird,” Fu Yilan said. “If you were an alpha, you’d already be committing harassment.”
Fu Haitang half-jokingly said, “I’m envious of your good figure and beauty, and I’m also jealous of your good fate.”
Jealousy can breed fear. Fu Haitang felt that her expression must be horribly ugly right now, after all, the person in front of her was the female protagonist of a book, the most attractive omega in the entire world!
A bright future was waiting for Fu Yilan, while she herself, if she hadn’t had her unexpected awakening, might have been kicked out of the storyline in the very first chapter for just taking one step into the Gu family.
Fu Yilan turned on the faucet and washed her hands: “Not long after the competition rules were announced, you started observing me frequently. Did the young miss ask you to tamper with things during the group stage?”
“Very smart,” Fu Haitang snapped her fingers.
Splashing a few handfuls of water on her face, Fu Yilan looked up: “I want to see Gu Jingjing’s transfer records to you.”
“How can you do that?” Fu Haitang was surprised. “Check my phone?”
“Yes,” Fu Yilan said.
Fu Haitang frowned.
Fu Yilan’s skin was very fair. If it weren’t for her remarkably clever eyes, “clueless sweetheart” could have perfectly described her. However, her high nose bridge and sharp, upturned eyes gave her so much versatility.
The hostile, suspicious look in her eyes made Fu Haitang feel both excited and scared, even eager.
“I heard that only couples can check each other’s phones,” Fu Haitang said with suspicion, but her actions were quite honest as she handed over her phone.
She looked like she was at your disposal, but the look in her eyes behind the neat glasses and the mockery in her words said something else entirely.
The phone landed in Fu Yilan’s palm, and she reminded her: “You’re an omega.”
Fu Haitang then remembered Ji Xiaotong: “Wait—”
Fu Yilan used Fu Haitang’s face to unlock the phone: “What’s so embarrassing?”
Fu Yilan didn’t notice Ji Xiaotong’s existence, because Gu Jingjing’s messages were set as the first pinned conversation by Fu Haitang today, with the striking name “Cash Cow.”
The latest transfer was from just after eight o’clock, and Gu Jingjing’s instructions were clear: Fu Yilan must not get a spot in the C position.
Fu Yilan: “Ten thousand yuan, and you only buy me instant coffee?”
Fu Haitang’s eyes curved: “After you’ve done the job, I’ll give you more.”
Fu Yilan handed back the phone, hinting to Fu Haitang: “Then you have to show me your sincerity first.”
Fu Haitang: “Ten thousand yuan if you don’t get the C position, and don’t try to take any shortcuts. If you can get the crown, I’ll give you another ten thousand afterward.”
Fu Yilan received a transfer of 9,990 yuan. “What about my coffee?”
There was ten yuan missing, which meant Fu Yilan had to pay for the coffee herself. But Fu Haitang didn’t feel any guilt about the coffee, sincerely saying, “Next time for sure.”
“Then I’ll also do it next time for sure.” Fu Yilan took the 9,990 yuan, and then suddenly turned on her: “So, what now?”
Her tone was provocative.
Fu Haitang licked her teeth. The anger made her body temperature gradually rise. She was a little unhappy but managed to control herself from lashing out. “Miss, ten thousand yuan is enough to file a case.”
“Would you lose a partner and a job just to vent your anger?” Fu Yilan retorted. “The mini-exam starts in five minutes, Teacher Fu. You have three minutes to consider.”
The phone vibrated. It was Chen Na asking where Fu Yilan was. Everyone was on-site preparing for the exam, but Fu Yilan hadn’t arrived yet.
Time ticked by, second by second.
Fu Haitang stared fixedly at Fu Yilan. They both knew this wasn’t about ten yuan, but about handing over the initiative.
The creative team had strange ideas and often dressed in stylish ways. Fu Haitang wore high heels and a formal suit, with a lace choker around her neck to add a touch of color to her stern outfit.
She straightened up and stepped closer to Fu Yilan, lifting her chin: “Don’t think you can do whatever you want just because you’re pretty.”
“Not only am I pretty,” Fu Yilan smiled, “I have a great figure too.”
Fu Haitang subconsciously looked down. Fu Yilan had sloping shoulders, full br3asts, and a slender waist. To make training easier, she wore a plain white T-shirt, which clearly showed her sweaty white bra. Even a blind person could tell she was a mature, perfect omega.
“What a shame,” Fu Haitang sighed.
Fu Yilan: “What?”
Fu Haitang: “I’m just lamenting that I’m not an alpha.”
(The other party transferred 10 to you.)
Fu Yilan smiled with satisfaction.
Fu Haitang let out a soft huff, put away her folder, and left.
In the studio.
Fu Yilan rushed back.
In the monitoring room, several mentors watched the scene unfold.
“Late again.” In the monitoring room, Fu Rongdie raised her hand and pointed at Fu Yilan on the screen. “Using the same tactic again. This girl’s cunning is on par with her looks.”
Lu Jing used a pen to deduct three points from Fu Yilan’s score panel and said, “We’ll see how she performs later.”
Fu Haitang stood behind Lu Jing. Her role was equivalent to the assistant of the D-class mentor. Hearing this, she interjected with malicious advice, “The total score is twenty, teacher.”
Lu Jing changed her decision: “-5.”
Fu Haitang almost laughed out loud but managed to control herself in time.
Chen Na: “Where did you go? You almost gave me a heart attack. How could you be late for something as important as the mini-exam!”
As soon as Fu Yilan returned, Chen Na grabbed her arm and lectured her. The latter lowered her voice, asking: “They said you were deliberately late for the camera, is that true?”
“No,” Fu Yilan explained. “I went to the 22nd floor. My heat is approaching, so I took a moment to get myself together.”
Chen Na: “You better be careful you don’t lose points!”
“That’s fine too,” Fu Yilan said.
Chen Na was exasperated: “Are you out of your mind from all the training? You’re performing so well and you’re so pretty; you have a great chance of getting the C position! And…”
Chen Na lowered her voice, “Just now, Ruo Fu from our class was looking for you.”
Lin Ruo Fu was a female alpha trainee in the D-class. She had a neutral style, a tall figure, and was the only one who could compete with Fu Yilan for the C position.
“I didn’t expect you to be so-so at singing, but so good at dancing,” Chen Na said. “You have to be careful of Ruo Fu.”
“Quiet!” A clap echoed. A staff member said, “The mini-exam is starting. One person from each class comes up at a time. The mentors will be in the back to watch the results of your two-and-a-half days of practice and score you. The person with the highest score in each class will be one of the C positions for the first public performance four days from now!”
“Who’s first?”
The studio instantly fell silent.
Shen Hai, Yi Bingchi, and head producer Fu Rongdie laughed behind the monitor: “No one wants to be the first.”
Fu Haitang checked the time and left the monitoring room. (You should perform well. I have to go to work now.)
But Fu Yilan had already handed her phone to a staff member after entering the studio and didn’t see the message in time.
Fu Haitang slapped her forehead. “I forgot about the rule to hand in phones. How stupid.” This rule was specifically set by the creative team to prevent trainees from leaking photos from the site, and she had forgotten about it.
“What are you spacing out for?” Sini nudged her with an elbow. “Doesn’t the late-night snack taste good?”
A new message came in on her phone, with Ren Qing tagging everyone in the creative team. After reading it, Fu Haitang shook her head and said, “Eat quickly. I just got a message that we’re pulling an all-nighter to edit the footage tonight, and the trailer will be broadcast the day after tomorrow.”
Sini shrieked in shock: “What!”
There hadn’t been a talent show in China for over ten years, and once the show aired, it gained an unimaginable amount of popularity. The higher-ups held a meeting in the evening, and the order was issued that afternoon. It was relatively easy to get approval for the variety show. After handling all the layers of bureaucracy, the message reached the overworked staff at ten past ten.
The dream of getting off work at twelve was shattered.
The entire TV station was brightly lit. Countless office workers with coffee cups entered the elevator, each with a face ashen as a corpse’s. Their greetings were listless.
“Why are you back to work overtime too? Did you use up your two days of leave for your heat?” The elevator was stuffy, and pheromones moved like an undercurrent, quietly flowing.
An omega answered listlessly, “I went to the hospital for an inhibitor infusion. It took half an hour, but I’m fine now.”
“You should just find an alpha partner,” the person mumbled.
The omega playfully said, “Go to hell.”
The elevator dinged.
The crowd poured out. Fu Haitang lagged behind and secretly rubbed her itchy neck a couple of times.
Find an alpha partner? Fu Haitang swallowed. She heard that being marked by an alpha was a wonderful feeling, a pleasure that one’s own hands or toys couldn’t replicate.
But female alphas looked too androgynous, not Fu Haitang’s type. Fu Haitang thought of Fu Yilan and sighed that the male protagonist’s omega had such a good life. Fu Yilan looked so fragrant and soft, like a freshly baked steamed bun.
She really wanted to get her hands covered in black mud and then mess up Fu Yilan! The dirtier the better, just to vent her frustration!
