“Hello, could you get this one for me to try on?” Jiang Yuetong said to the saleswoman who had been staring at her and Chen Nan.

“Ah…” The saleswoman didn’t expect Chen Nan to approach her. She felt like she was dreaming. She was the post-90s girl who had just recognized Chen Nan.

“What?” the girl asked, lifting her face.

“How can you do business when you’re so unfocused? She wants to try on this dress, please hurry up,” Chen Nan said, her tone displeased.

The girl’s face immediately flushed. She walked aside and brought back a suitable size for Jiang Yuetong.

“I’ll go try it on.” Jiang Yuetong took the dress and walked into the fitting room. The style of this dress was very similar to the one she wore in the morning, both pure white lace with white sheer fabric. However, this one had a playful black bow adorning the waist, making it even more captivating and instantly giving her a princess-like air, which was exactly the style Jiang Yuetong wanted.

Jiang Yuetong straightened her back and confidently pushed open the fitting room door. Chen Nan showed a faint smile. “This one isn’t see-through, it’s good,” Chen Nan commented.

Seeing Chen Nan staring straight at herself, Jiang Yuetong awkwardly touched her nose and said, “Then if it’s okay, let’s wrap it up. I like this one too.”

“OK,” Chen Nan said, automatically pulling out her gold card, but Jiang Yuetong stopped her movement. “Although I don’t earn as much as you, I earn money too. Let me pay for myself.”

Chen Nan didn’t insist, thoughtfully retracting her card. Jiang Yuetong asked the attendant to cut off the tag and then packed up the dress she had worn that morning.

“What’s the plan for today?” Chen Nan asked Jiang Yuetong as they walked out of Tianqi Department Store.

“You decide, right? You’re a busy person, who knows when you’ll suddenly leave to attend to work again,” Jiang Yuetong said.

Chen Nan thought to herself: It’s all thanks to you, Jiang Yuetong. Now Grandpa has taken back almost all the businesses under my command, leaving only a small restaurant, ha! Chen Nan stood beneath the roller coaster, looking up at the enormous machine. “It’s so big, so high…”

Jiang Yuetong said, “Who would believe that you, Chen Nan, have never been on a roller coaster?”

Chen Nan smiled and shook her head, pretending to be relaxed. She took a deep breath. “I’m fine, worry about yourself more.” The roller coaster was about to start. At this point, it was absolutely impossible for Chen Nan to back out. She couldn’t afford to lose face.

Jiang Yuetong shrugged nonchalantly. She always rode this when she had nothing else to do, so she wasn’t scared.

Soon, the car started.

The speed wasn’t particularly fast at first, but after three minutes, the entire coaster truly felt like it was flying. The speed suddenly reached its peak, followed by a near ninety-degree vertical climb. With a “whoosh,” the roller coaster rushed up. Chen Nan only felt a wave of nausea rush up from her stomach. In the next second, without time to think, the entire car suddenly plunged almost ninety degrees downwards, the speed reaching nearly freefall! Chen Nan frantically grabbed a soft object and squeezed it in her hand. She didn’t have time to analyze what it was.

It was too unbearable!

Chen Nan cried out in her heart, deeply regretting why she had tried to show off. If she had known this would happen, she would have refused to get on even if it meant death. But even with regret, the car continued its sharp climbs and drops, performing all sorts of difficult twists and turns, and Chen Nan’s stomach was churning just like the roller coaster.

“Why are you apologizing to me?” Jiang Yuetong’s voice became very gentle.

It took Chen Nan a long time to realize that the soft object she had been gripping was Jiang Yuetong’s hand.

Finally gaining a little control of herself, Chen Nan slightly straightened up and leaned against the seat back. Below, the waiting line was full of people. At this moment, the administrator stood next to Chen Nan with an unhappy expression. “If you need to vomit, please get off and do it. If everyone is like you, how can we operate?”

Chen Nan stood up, her legs wobbly. She took out her wallet and pulled out a stack of money for the administrator. She didn’t know how much Chen Nan gave, but the administrator’s mouth turned from a straight line into a flower.

“It’s all your fault!” Chen Nan shouted, “You used reverse psychology and forced me to embarrass myself. You knew I had a fear of heights, yet you still said that!” Chen Nan said angrily.

“You need to examine yourself. Don’t you know what you can do and what you can’t? No one can make decisions about your own matters for you. If a simple sentence can provoke you, are you suitable to be the successor of Tianqi Group?”

Chen Nan suddenly recalled what her grandfather had told her. Her grandfather said: Jiang Yuetong is different. Maybe only Jiang Yuetong can change you and make you the most qualified heir of Tianqi Group. Then I can confidently hand over my life’s work to you…

Chen Nan looked at Jiang Yuetong seriously, wondering, Could Grandpa be right?

While Chen Nan and Jiang Yuetong were resting on the long bench, a child, about seven or eight years old, was leisurely riding a small bike towards them.
