A Paper Contract GL - Chapter 29
I don’t know how long it was, but Jiang Yuetong grabbed the door handle, intending to get out of the car.
Chen Nan grabbed her hand, “Where are you going?”
“Anywhere is fine, I just don’t want to sit with you.” Jiang Yuetong gave Chen Nan a cold look.
“What if I insist on you being with me?” Chen Nan blocked Jiang Yuetong’s mouth fiercely, with a surge of anger. She didn’t know where all this anger came from; it was true that Chen Nan liked to lose her temper, but she was rarely this frantic with women. She had been with so many women, and it was impossible for every single one to be a virgin, yet with Jiang Yuetong, she was so serious. Few women could provoke Chen Nan into acting like a constantly smoking sweet potato with just a few words, like Jiang Yuetong.
“You scoundrel!” Jiang Yuetong tried to push Chen Nan away, but Chen Nan pinned her arms behind her back, ignoring Jiang Yuetong’s resistance. One hand pressed her shoulders, and she bit and sucked violently on Jiang Yuetong’s lips. It was love and punishment, along with an unspoken, overwhelming possessiveness that made it impossible to resist.
Jiang Yuetong was stunned by the sudden, fierce attack. In her daze, her lips were already painfully kissed, very different from their usual kisses.
Jiang Yuetong wanted to turn her face away to avoid Chen Nan’s lips, but Chen Nan used her hand to hold her head still, leaning forward until her entire body was practically pressing down on Jiang Yuetong. Perhaps this was the benefit of driving a luxury car; at this moment, Chen Nan had covertly adjusted the car seat backward, and Jiang Yuetong was already lying flat on the seat.
Chen Nan’s two legs caged Jiang Yuetong’s legs, accompanied by an even more frantic kiss. Jiang Yuetong had long lost the strength to resist. Chen Nan’s tender hand had already captured Jiang Yuetong’s two enormous, round br3asts, greedily fondling them, experiencing the uncontrollable pleasure, kneading them over and over again. But clothes always made the itch difficult to scratch, and inserting a hand was difficult because Jiang Yuetong was wearing a long top today, and in this position, the fabric was pressed underneath her.
Chen Nan sat up straight, pulled Jiang Yuetong’s top up to her chest, and commanded, “Take it off.”
“Why should I listen to you?” Jiang Yuetong’s oxygen-deprived brain from the kissing seemed to have cleared a little now, and she looked at Chen Nan provocatively with a sidelong glance.
“Because you’re wrong, so you have to listen to me,” Chen Nan replied.
Jiang Yuetong pulled the shirt, which had been pushed up to her chest, back down. “Open the car door.”
Chen Nan said coldly, “Don’t even think about running away. Not today.”
“If you don’t open it, I’ll smash it,” Jiang Yuetong threatened.
Chen Nan laughed exaggeratedly, “Go ahead and smash it. If you can smash the window of this BMW X6 today, I’ll kneel down for you right now.”
Jiang Yuetong lifted her hand and swung down fiercely. The window was fine, but her hand immediately became bruised and swollen.
Chen Nan gnashed her teeth in anger, “Jiang Yuetong, are you an idiot? Is your brain waterlogged? What the f*ck!” Chen Nan couldn’t help but swear, pulling Jiang Yuetong’s hand to look closely. “Let’s go to the hospital.”
“I don’t need to go to the hospital,” Jiang Yuetong pulled her hand away. “Just take me home.”
Chen Nan, who had already started the car, suddenly slammed on the brakes. Jiang Yuetong’s head nearly hit the glass. “What do you want?” Chen Nan turned to Jiang Yuetong and said. “You don’t want to talk properly, and you don’t want to solve things properly, do you?”
Jiang Yuetong sneered, “I am very disappointed in you today. I don’t want to say another word now. I just want to go home.”
Chen Nan was so angry her teeth ached. She said word for word, “I waited for you for a full five hours today. I waited from eight in the morning until now.” Chen Nan glanced at her watch; it was almost one in the afternoon, and they hadn’t eaten yet. “A full five hours, and now you say you want to go home!”
Jiang Yuetong said expressionlessly, “Fine, if not home, then back to school.”
Chen Nan gripped Jiang Yuetong’s face, looked into her eyes, and said, “Explain to me about your ex-boyfriend.”
Jiang Yuetong lowered her eyes. “I have nothing to say. Think what you want, in any case, we’re over.”
“Jiang Yuetong, you’ve said ‘over’ twice now, twice in one day. Do you really want to end it that badly?” Chen Nan swallowed a lump in her throat, her heartbeat accelerating uncontrollably. She was genuinely afraid of Jiang Yuetong actually saying it. But Jiang Yuetong didn’t disappoint Chen Nan, saying exactly what Chen Nan had expected: “Yes, I want to end it, so what? Anyway, I’m not a virgin. I’ve done it hundreds of times, and all the gynecology hospitals are full of people I know.”
“Jiang Yuetong!” Chen Nan clenched her fists.
Jiang Yuetong lifted her face. She had never been meek in front of Chen Nan, and she wouldn’t be today either. But she didn’t know why her heart ached so much, so much that she couldn’t breathe. She had to use all her strength to hold back her tears, but her eyes were so sore, and her nose was so runny.
Chen Nan’s eyes were also sore, gradually turning red. She pressed a button, and with a ‘ding’ sound, the car doors unlocked.
“In that case, I don’t want to force it. You can leave.” Chen Nan turned her head away, her voice cold.
Jiang Yuetong’s tears instantly flowed down. She was the one who wanted to leave, but when Chen Nan actually said those words, her heart was terribly pained and sour. She wished so much that Chen Nan would be more overbearing; if Chen Nan had simply refused to open the door, Jiang Yuetong would have been willing to sit in the car, no matter how long.
After a pause, Jiang Yuetong didn’t move.
Chen Nan shouted, “Get out of the car!”
Jiang Yuetong wiped her tears, got out of the car, and walked away without looking back.
The moment Jiang Yuetong got out of the car, Chen Nan’s tears streamed down, falling onto the pure white summer cushion. But they were quickly absorbed by the fibers, as if no tears had ever dropped there.
Chen Nan really wanted to get out of the car and chase Jiang Yuetong back, but her tears kept falling uncontrollably. By the time she wiped her tears and saw clearly ahead, Jiang Yuetong had already hailed a taxi and left.
Jiang Yuetong returned to the office and sat crying in her chair all afternoon. Her desk wasn’t small, but it was covered in tissues she’d used to wipe her tears and snot.
Li Haitao brought a cup of coffee and placed it on Jiang Yuetong’s desk, asking cautiously, “Did that Chen Nan bully you? Rich second generations are unreliable…”
Jiang Yuetong didn’t answer Li Haitao, just kept crying, her eyes all swollen.
“How can you cry so spinelessly? Look at you, you’ve become ugly, not pretty anymore,” Li Haitao said, looking at Jiang Yuetong.
Jiang Yuetong rolled her eyes at him, “Then why don’t you pretend you didn’t see me!”
Li Haitao smiled, “Do I have such a mature personality? But compared to Chen Nan, my personality is much more mature.” Li Haitao tried to comfort her, “Forget her. She’s not a reliable person. She made you cry like this after only knowing her for two days. How will you get through the rest of your life? You’ll have to face many more difficulties.”
Jiang Yuetong just listened, not speaking.
Li Haitao continued, “Although I don’t know why she made you cry, if it were me, this kind of thing would never happen.”
Jiang Yuetong suddenly looked up and said, “Teacher Li, please don’t say things like that right now.”
“Teacher Jiang, I genuinely like you. Give me a chance, okay?” Li Haitao said sincerely.
“Teacher Li! This is school, can you please be more careful!” Jiang Yuetong looked around. There was one other teacher in the office, named Liu Xiuli. She was known as the school’s big loudspeaker, and her character wasn’t very good; she always liked to stir up trouble without reason.
Jiang Yuetong’s gaze fell on Liu Xiuli. Although Liu Xiuli hadn’t turned her head, she was clearly doing nothing but straining her ears to listen to their conversation.
Jiang Yuetong lowered her voice to an extremely quiet level, almost squeezing the words out of her throat, “Keep your voice down, I don’t want her to hear my business.”
Li Haitao’s voice also became very low, but Liu Xiuli could still hear it, “I’m not talking about your business, I’m talking about our business. I like you, openly and honestly. I’m not afraid of anyone hearing. Even if she tells the whole school, I’m not afraid. Liking you is not a crime.”
Jiang Yuetong frowned, truly not knowing how to communicate with Li Haitao.
Chen Nan opened the door and saw Shi Ya sitting leisurely on the living room sofa, drinking coffee.
Shi Ya spoke, “You’re back? Why so early today? I thought you wouldn’t be back until after dinner.”
Chen Nan said flatly, “Aren’t you early too?”
“Oh. Today’s negotiations went quite smoothly, so I came back earlier. Besides, my designer in England sent me the drafts today, so I came back early to receive them online. I originally planned to sell the European styles here in China, but my designer said the Asian way of dressing is very different from the European style, so she specifically designed some new ones. I’ve been waiting, but she hasn’t come online yet.”
Chen Nan acted as if she hadn’t heard Shi Ya speak, going upstairs expressionlessly.
Shi Ya looked at Chen Nan’s back in confusion and said, “Chen Nan, did something happen? You don’t look well.”
Chen Nan shook her head, too lazy even to say a word.
Shi Ya looked at Chen Nan’s back with a hint of concern. When she turned her head, she suddenly noticed that Chen Nan had forgotten her phone on the shoe rack while changing shoes. Shi Ya walked over as if possessed and picked up Chen Nan’s phone. She felt somewhat conflicted; having been influenced by foreign culture for a long time, she knew very well that one shouldn’t casually invade other people’s privacy, but seeing Chen Nan’s abnormal behavior over the past few days, Shi Ya was extremely curious. She gently swiped the screen with her finger. Chen Nan’s phone had no password. Shi Ya smiled faintly and anxiously tapped on the call history. The majority of the names were one name: Jiang Yuetong.
Shi Ya held the phone to her chest and murmured, “Jiang Yuetong… who is that?”
The call history didn’t reveal much, so she looked through the text messages. The dates of the first few messages were yesterday morning. Shi Ya recalled that Chen Nan was with her yesterday morning, but Chen Nan occasionally sent a text message. It turns out they were all to this ‘Little Jiang Yuetong’ woman… Shi Ya was just about to click to see the content when there was a noise on the stairs. Shi Ya quickly put the phone back where it was and walked to the side as if nothing had happened.
Chen Nan walked downstairs spiritlessly to retrieve her forgotten phone. Shi Ya probed, “Chen Nan, your face is sunny one moment and cloudy the next. Is your mood swing caused by some girl?”
Chen Nan glanced at her and said coldly, “What if it is?” After saying that, Chen Nan went upstairs.
Shi Ya sat back down on the sofa, fuming, trying to figure out who Jiang Yuetong was.
Author’s Note:
Actually, I really wasn’t planning on writing anymore. It’s been many years since I joined Jinjiang (a writing platform), but my story’s collection count has remained the same, with no breakthrough. Of course, this is also related to my lack of effort in the past. But I’m working hard enough now, right? Not many people on Jinjiang can update daily! Also, my writing isn’t that bad, is it!~
However, upon reflection, maybe I really wrote Chen Nan to be too masculine. Perhaps I often unconsciously let my characters drift, like Ni Kai in “Goddess of Gamblers” who is also very masculine.
Maybe I’ll try to change it later, but this is just a style. After all, a woman isn’t prevented from being a bit manly.
Well, today’s suspension notice looks more like a joke, after all, I’ve softened up again, I’m as emotional as when I suspended the updates. Because many people disliked Chen Nan yesterday, and the collection count dropped today, I was hit hard.
I’m sorry, I admit I’m very fragile. I’m the type of girl who would jump up and cover her mouth and scream if a dog barked at me. Note that I am not the manly type of woman like Chen Nan. Perhaps the tortured female protagonists in my stories are my own reflection? Except that my chest isn’t as big as Jiang Yuetong’s…
Others say I can’t handle criticism. Actually, I know everyone is well-meaning, and they are only commenting on the plot and characters, it’s not directed at me, so it’s fine. Why did I suspend updates? It’s just because I was afraid that my lesbian story would be too far from what everyone had in mind. That is, I was afraid that no matter how much effort I put in, even if I updated ten times a day, everyone still wouldn’t like it. What’s the point of me writing here and there then? I might as well help blind people cross the road on the street, which would be more practical.
Actually, I’m not throwing a tantrum; my temper is much better than Chen Nan’s. I’m not someone who likes to get angry, but there must be some meaning in what I do. I always think that if my lesbian story really isn’t working, maybe I can write something else.
However, seeing so many people follow up with posts, my little ego was finally satisfied a little, and my mood brightened a bit. Speaking of which, I am a very emotional person, so I plan to resume updates. That… I still welcome everyone’s comments, whether good or bad… but I’m not sure if I’ll get angry again and suspend updates… (I guess not, I can’t keep using that trick)
Maybe some people will say I’m being dramatic, then I’ll just be dramatic. After all, I’m genuine, not pretending.
