A Paper Contract GL - Chapter 31
Chen Nan drove the car into the underground parking garage of the Ersha Island villa. Jiang Yuetong, not understanding the reason, asked, “Why are we going to the garage? Why not go inside the house?”
Chen Nan was unsure if Shi Ya was at home, how could she risk going inside rashly!? Especially when neither of them had their pants on?
Chen Nan smiled, “The cleaning lady is tidying up the rooms, do you want her to see you naked?”
“Oh…” Jiang Yuetong nodded.
Chen Nan said, “Besides, isn’t it more exciting in the garage…” Chen Nan smirked. The garage door was on the side of the villa, and she entered without anyone noticing. Furthermore, the garage door of Chen Nan’s villa was electric; just a single press easily opened it, so Chen Nan didn’t have to exert herself.
However, Shi Ya was currently in Chen Nan’s room receiving images on her desktop computer. Bored, she clicked around and happened to see the icon for the surveillance equipment. Shi Ya clicked on it, wanting to see how many women Chen Nan had brought back before she returned home.
Coincidentally, just as Shi Ya opened it and before she had time to check previous records, she saw the car shaking slightly on the small one-eighth screen. Although it wasn’t intense, that car was clearly the one Chen Nan had driven out this morning.
It was a bit dim in the garage, and Shi Ya squinted but couldn’t see clearly who it was, but it was definitely two people engaged in that kind of activity. Shi Ya could still make that out.
Chen Nan, at the peak of her passion, had no idea that her every move was under Shi Ya’s surveillance, even if it wasn’t clear.
Shi Ya gnashed her teeth in fury. She wanted to rush to the garage several times to catch them in the act, but that would be too damaging to her dignity, and it wasn’t the right time yet. Shi Ya was a very calculating woman; she wouldn’t easily startle the snake in the grass. No matter how angry she was, she could endure it, otherwise she wouldn’t have built Shi Ya Fashion into such a large enterprise.
Shi Ya smiled faintly, saying word for word, “Jiang! Yue! Tong!”
Chen Nan, having achieved physical and mental pleasure, didn’t even light a cigarette. Immediately after finishing, she took Jiang Yuetong and left the villa’s garage. However, Chen Nan had put her clothes back on now, no longer driving around naked.
With her desires relieved, worries gathered in her heart again. Jiang Yuetong looked unhappy, unlike Chen Nan, who was in a great mood. Jiang Yuetong sank into deeper melancholy after the climax.
“What’s wrong? Why do you look so unhappy?” Chen Nan asked.
“How can I be happy? Did you forget what happened this morning? The school must be buzzing with rumors, what am I going to do?” Jiang Yuetong worriedly said.
“Yes, there will definitely be rumors, but you don’t need to worry too much, it’s not as serious as you think. Rumors stop with the wise, and also, rumors will slowly fade away with time. There’s no need to fear rumors; as long as you hold your head high and ignore them, no one can do anything to you. But this requires strong resilience and breadth of mind.” Chen Nan thought for a moment and then said, “The key issue is what was posted on the public notice board this morning. It’s clearly someone targeting you, trying to bring you down. Did you offend someone? Also, do you recognize the handwriting from this morning? Is it familiar?”
Jiang Yuetong shook her head, then thought for a moment, and said, “I’m usually good to everyone, so no one should hate me this much, right… Besides, leaving everything else aside, about my situation with you, only a few people know. Now that I think about it, the handwriting does look familiar, especially like one of the teachers in my office.”
“That makes it easy to guess. How many teachers are in your office?” Chen Nan quickly followed up.
Jiang Yuetong shrugged, “You’ve been there, haven’t you? My office is the largest one in the school, with more than ten teachers. I can’t immediately recall whose handwriting it looks more like. Plus, my mind is a mess right now, how can I even think straight…” Jiang Yuetong shivered, “I really don’t know how to face the teachers and students at school later. I clearly had a class this morning, and I didn’t even ask for leave…”
Thinking of this, Jiang Yuetong took out her phone, but it was turned off. Jiang Yuetong slapped her forehead and anxiously said, “My phone was low on battery since last night, about to shut down. I was planning to charge it at school today, but… now it’s done for! I didn’t go to class, and my phone is still off. I’m ruined this time!”
Chen Nan patted Jiang Yuetong’s shoulder and said, “It’s okay, baby, don’t be afraid. How about I go to school with you?”
“Forget it,” Jiang Yuetong said, “If you go, it will only make things more confusing. Don’t worry, I’ll be fine.” Jiang Yuetong smiled helplessly.
“If you really feel too embarrassed, just resign,” Chen Nan said, holding Jiang Yuetong’s wrist with her right hand.
“How can I do that?” Jiang Yuetong lowered her eyelids, “I really like being a teacher…”
The car quickly drove to Jiang Yuetong’s school. It was already 11:30 a.m., and the students were about to be dismissed in a few minutes. Chen Nan advised Jiang Yuetong to go to school in the afternoon, but Jiang Yuetong disagreed.
Having no choice, Chen Nan waited outside.
Jiang Yuetong arrived at the office, and Li Haitao immediately said, “You’re finally here, Teacher Jiang. The Principal and the Dean of Students are both talking about severely punishing the person who wrote the big-character poster to slander you this morning. They said this person not only slandered you but also affected the school’s reputation. Also, another teacher covered your class this morning.” Li Haitao didn’t forget to pat Jiang Yuetong’s shoulder, comforting her, “It’s okay, Yuetong, don’t overthink it. No matter what others say, you are always perfect in our hearts.”
Li Haitao’s few words reassured Jiang Yuetong, and the gloom in her heart instantly vanished without a trace. The cloudy day instantly turned sunny. She let out a long sigh and said, “I was so worried just now, wondering what the school leadership would do when the news reached them. Now it’s alright.”
Li Haitao smiled dotingly, saying, “Who doesn’t know your character? Only a ghost would believe that kind of talk. Don’t worry, the school has surveillance, they won’t let that person off.”
Jiang Yuetong smiled slightly, “That’s good.”
Li Haitao added, “Even if it’s just to make an example of someone, the school leaders will find the culprit, otherwise what will happen later? Will teachers do this every time there’s a disagreement?”
“How do you know it was a teacher who did it?” Jiang Yuetong asked, confused.
“I think it’s obvious. It must be a teacher who was jealous of you and did this. Think about it, which student would be bored to this extent?” Li Haitao thought for a moment and added, “You’ve always had a good relationship with the students in your class. Don’t they all call you ‘Jiejie’ (older sister)? How could any of them do such a thing?”
Jiang Yuetong nodded, “Even if they find them, what’s the use? So many people have seen it, and the rumors will still spread.” Jiang Yuetong said.
“Don’t worry, they won’t. Cheer up.” Li Haitao looked at his watch and said, “It’s time for dismissal. Let’s go, I’ll treat you to lunch.” Li Haitao’s eyes were shining as he looked at Jiang Yuetong, seemingly feeling that his opportunity had arrived. Wasn’t Jiang Yuetong in need of comfort right now? This was a good chance for him.
Jiang Yuetong shook her head and said, “No need, I’ll just eat by myself.”
Li Haitao’s face darkened, but he didn’t give up, persuading her, “Don’t be like that, let’s go together, okay?” Li Haitao’s tone was close to pleading.
Jiang Yuetong still shook her head.
Li Haitao asked, “Did you make plans with someone?”
Jiang Yuetong gave an awkward smile, implicitly agreeing.
Li Haitao asked, “Is it that Chen Nan person?”
Jiang Yuetong hated being questioned like this. Wasn’t it her freedom who she ate with? It felt like an interrogation. She looked at her watch and said, “It’s getting late, Teacher Li, you should hurry to the cafeteria, or there won’t be any food left. I’m leaving first.” Saying that, Jiang Yuetong picked up her bag and left as if escaping.
Li Haitao looked at Jiang Yuetong’s receding figure and cursed under his breath.
Jiang Yuetong walked to the door and saw a few students from her class. Not only did they not avoid her, but they walked up to her and surrounded her. They said one after another, “Teacher Jiang, you are our most beautiful, best, and cutest teacher. Don’t pay attention to that idiot. Their brain is broken, so they talk nonsense. We all heard about what happened this morning, but no one will believe what it says. You are our good teacher, we can’t do without you.”
“Yeah, Teacher Jiang, we were so worried when you didn’t come to class this morning. Several students called your phone one after another, but couldn’t get through. One student even exaggerated and said you committed suicide. You scared us to death.”
Students were simple. Jiang Yuetong’s face broke into a big smile upon hearing this, and she looked even more beautiful when she smiled.
“Teacher Jiang, we all know there are a few male students in the class who like you, and some from other classes too. But them liking you is their business, you haven’t done anything with them. It’s not a crime to like someone, right, teacher?”
“What nonsense are you talking about? What male students like me? How old are you guys? Always talking about liking this and liking that,” Jiang Yuetong laughed.
A student said, “We’re in high school. Look how many couples are dating at school. Even though they don’t dare to be obvious about it, we all know.”
Jiang Yuetong laughed, “Hurry up and go eat. Knowing that I have your support is enough. Don’t worry, I’m fine. I can come back to teach you this afternoon, and I promise, no matter what happens, I won’t think about suicide.”
“Oh, that’s good.” A little later, the students dispersed.
Jiang Yuetong walked to Chen Nan’s car, opened the door, and slipped inside.
“What took you so long?” Chen Nan said gently, turning her head and pressing a kiss on Jiang Yuetong’s lips.
“I talked a few words with Teacher Li, and then I ran into the students from my class on the way out,” Jiang Yuetong said, smiling, her eyes twinkling, looking particularly cute.
“Oh? Your mood has changed, why?” Chen Nan started the car and drove forward.
Jiang Yuetong smiled mysteriously and recounted what had just happened to Chen Nan.
Chen Nan said, “Oh, that’s good, as long as the problem is solved. The next step is to wait for the school to find out who the perpetrator is, and you must demand the school dismiss her.”
Jiang Yuetong, being kind-hearted, said, “Warning her should be enough, why does she have to be dismissed? It’s not that serious, is it?”
Chen Nan pursed her lips and gave a cold snort, “Not serious? Is it not serious for a teacher, someone who is supposed to be a moral example, to do such a thing?”
Jiang Yuetong didn’t continue the topic, instead asking, “Where are we going?”
“To eat. I’m taking you to a very unique place,” Chen Nan smiled.
After getting out of the car, Chen Nan held Jiang Yuetong’s hand and walked around to the trunk, taking out a paper bag from inside.
“What’s this?” Jiang Yuetong asked, pointing at the paper bag.
Chen Nan smiled, “Let’s go, I’ll open it for you inside.”
