- Chapter 33 - I Will Never Get Tired of Loving You A Thousand Times
Shi Ya smiled coldly and said softly, “I saw Chen Nan.”
“Oh? Where?” Mu Yueting looked around. She never imagined Chen Nan would be with another woman, so she completely overlooked a couple taking photos on the deck. “I don’t see her.”
“Right there,” Shi Ya slightly raised her head and motioned with her chin.
“Ah? No way!” After Mu Yueting saw clearly, she tried to stand up but was pulled back by Shi Ya.
“Why are you pulling me? Didn’t you see Chen Nan with a girl? Can you just be indifferent?” Mu Yueting said excitedly.
“Don’t rush, now is not the time to show ourselves. Let them enjoy themselves. We just watch and wait from the side, that’s enough,” Shi Ya’s voice was light, but seemed to hint at a conspiracy.
Mu Yueting slumped back into her seat like a deflated balloon and asked, confused, “What are you doing? Can you tolerate this? Even if Chen Nan is just fooling around with her, it’s unacceptable! She’s too bold, in broad daylight like this, has she forgotten what she promised you? What she promised your sister…”
Before Mu Yueting could finish, Shi Ya said, “Stop talking! How could I forget…” Shi Ya rubbed her temple and said, “Chen Nan is mine. No one should try to take her away from me.”
Mu Yueting asked, confused, “Then why don’t you let me go teach that girl who’s with Chen Nan a lesson? I can’t stand it. When you hadn’t returned, Chen Nan fooling around was just fooling around, and no one thought there was anything wrong with it, but you’re back now, how can she still be like this?”
Shi Ya smiled faintly and said, “Now is not the time to teach her a lesson.” After a pause, she added, “Also, Chen Nan isn’t just fooling around with her. I feel that Chen Nan is serious, because this girl can affect Chen Nan’s moods. Based on my understanding of Chen Nan, she is not a person who can be easily influenced by anyone. I also don’t believe that Chen Nan has become such an emotional person in just a few years. There is only one reason for Chen Nan’s change, and that is she has fallen for this girl.”
“Then the problem is even more serious! Why didn’t you tell me sooner?” Mu Yueting said excitedly.
“Tell you sooner? I only found out after returning to the country. And…” Shi Ya shook her head, only to see Chen Nan and Jiang Yuetong finished eating and preparing to leave, still holding hands.
Shi Ya smiled coldly, “They have such a good relationship, inseparable.” Shi Ya drank the remaining coffee in her cup.
Chen Nan drove Jiang Yuetong back to school. It was almost three o’clock, and class was about to begin. Chen Nan reluctantly held Jiang Yuetong’s hand, “How about you don’t go to class this afternoon? I can still take you to lots of fun places.”
“Enough, we’ve been together all morning, isn’t that enough?” Jiang Yuetong looked deeply at Chen Nan. In reality, she also didn’t want to leave at all.
“How could it be enough? How does that song go? ‘Loving you a thousand times is still not tiresome.'” Chen Nan smiled and winked.
Jiang Yuetong waved her hand, “Alright, I’m going to class. Bye-bye.”
Chen Nan also waved, “Bye-bye. Call me later.” She watched Jiang Yuetong enter the school.
Chen Nan was tired from the day. After dropping Jiang Yuetong off at school, she drove home to rest. As soon as she entered the door, she saw Shi Ya sitting on the living room sofa, applying a face mask while reading a magazine.
“You’re back so early?” Shi Ya didn’t even lift her head, still looking down at the magazine.
Chen Nan replied casually, “Uh, yeah, a bit early.”
Shi Ya lifted her head, looked at Chen Nan, and asked, “Did you go to the company today? Were you busy?”
Chen Nan’s eyes darted around in their sockets, and she chuckled, “Busy with what? Not too busy, just followed up on the real estate business in the west side. Nothing else.”
Shi Ya gently peeled off the face mask, and a face like a porcelain doll was instantly revealed. She got up and walked over gracefully. Chen Nan noticed Shi Ya’s smooth, long legs. It turned out Shi Ya wasn’t wearing pants, only a long top that covered her butt, and that top was a cardigan, fastened only with a few buttons, with glimpses of her inner garment showing faintly.
Chen Nan instinctively shifted her gaze.
Shi Ya gently put her arms around Chen Nan’s neck. Chen Nan gently pushed her away, “What’s wrong?”
Shi Ya’s expression became unpleasant, “Shouldn’t I be asking you what’s wrong? Have you turned into a nun, devoid of feelings and desires? Why haven’t you touched me since I came back? Have you lost interest in me?”
Chen Nan looked at Shi Ya uncomfortably, not answering her question. She had just relieved her desires this morning, and now she didn’t feel like it at all. Besides, if she did feel like it, she would want to do it with Jiang Yuetong, not Shi Ya. Anyone with common sense knew that if a person had just done that, asking them to do it again would only elicit feelings of disgust and annoyance, nothing else.
Shi Ya gave a self-mocking smile, walked to the coffee table, picked up a goblet, poured two glasses of red wine, and brought them to Chen Nan, “Here.”
Chen Nan took it and sat on the sofa.
Shi Ya also sat down, but opposite Chen Nan. She swirled the goblet in her hand, watching the red wine gently revolve inside, and said, “Actually, you don’t have to lie to me.”
Chen Nan suddenly looked up, staring at Shi Ya in disbelief, not understanding what she was saying.
Shi Ya didn’t continue the previous topic, but abruptly changed the subject, saying, “I love you, Chen Nan. Let’s start over.”
Chen Nan frowned slightly. She placed the red wine glass on the coffee table and stood up, saying, “I’m a bit tired today. Let’s talk about this another time, okay?”
Shi Ya took a sip of red wine and said, “Sit down, sit down. Let me finish what I have to say.”
Chen Nan’s gaze flickered. She was genuinely afraid of continuing this topic, only saying, “Wouldn’t it be the same to talk about it another day? You’ll be in the country for a long time, won’t you? It’s not just a day or two. I should go take a shower first, it’s been so hot today…”
Shi Ya stood up, walked to her, pulled her to sit down, and then snuggled next to her, “Can’t you even listen to me for a few words? You’re becoming more and more cold.”
Chen Nan was speechless.
Shi Ya sighed and said, “Today, my friend and I went to the Floating Restaurant…” Shi Ya’s arm around Chen Nan clearly felt Chen Nan tremble.
Shi Ya continued, “Actually, for the past few days, I’ve felt like something was off with you. You must have another woman, and today I saw her. She’s nothing special. Seeing that girl, I know you’re just fooling around with her. Look at her, apart from having a large chest, she has nothing else. She wears cheap clothes and uses cheap perfume. Do you know? When she went to the restroom and walked past my friend’s table, my friend covered her nose after she passed and exclaimed: ‘What is that smell? Did she buy it from a street stall? I didn’t expect someone who buys perfume from a street stall to come to such a high-end place to eat!’ ” Shi Ya tugged at the corner of her mouth, smiling helplessly, and said, “When my friend said that, I felt so awkward. I couldn’t say that she was your friend, Chen Nan.”
Chen Nan’s face was cold, and she lightly bit her lip.
“I know you’re just playing around, right?” Shi Ya twisted Chen Nan’s head, forcing her to look at her.
Chen Nan took a long breath, as if making up her mind, and said, “Shi Ya, since you saw everything today, I can’t hide it from you anymore. What if I tell you that I’m not just playing around? What if I tell you that I’ve fallen in love with her?”
Shi Ya’s face was instantly frozen, as if covered in frost. She looked into Chen Nan’s eyes and said, “Say that again.”
Chen Nan didn’t repeat herself as instructed, but said, “Research on the brain shows that the shelf life of love is only three years, and that’s being generous. We haven’t seen each other for five years, five years! Isn’t that too long if we want to continue this relationship?”
Shi Ya immediately countered, “Time? Is time that important to us, to people in love? Huh?” Shi Ya was becoming agitated.
Chen Nan nervously rubbed her hands together, crossing them in front of her. “Isn’t it important?” she questioned, and added, “Five years, many things have changed, including feelings. Why do you have to force it?”
“Then what about your vows? Your promises? Was your promise to love me forever a lie?” Shi Ya stood up. The buttons on her chest were undone, and she was speaking to Chen Nan almost naked. Her slender, beautiful body was fully visible, covered only by a long, almost pointless outer garment, which only increased her sexiness.
But Chen Nan acted as if she hadn’t seen it, saying, “I did make promises, but if you had come back to the country with me back then, I wouldn’t have broken my promises. It was you who made us part for five years, allowing our feelings to fade with time.”
Shi Ya shouted, “It wasn’t me! It was you! My feelings have never faded! For these five years, all I’ve thought about is you! You are the one who forgot me from your mind! You are a complete liar!”
Chen Nan lowered her head and slowly said, “Do we have to communicate like this, hysterically? Is it necessary? Yes, you’re saying I lied to you now, but how old were we five years ago? How many people can keep the youthful declarations made back then? We were both immature at that time, and the things we said couldn’t withstand the test of time.”
“Ha!” Shi Ya laughed wildly, and tears fell along with it. As her shoulders shook, her clothes completely fell open. “Chen Nan, do you remember six years ago? If you don’t, let me help you recall it little by little.”
“Don’t say it! I don’t want to hear it.” Chen Nan covered her head, shaking it frantically. That was her nightmare.
Shi Ya sneered, tears falling even more. She recounted the past, word for word, “Six years ago, we were both overseas students in England. You fell in love with my sister. At the time, we all knew you were very fickle and wouldn’t stay interested in anyone for long, but even so, many girls willingly chose to be with you.
You have that kind of charm, or rather, magic. And my sister, despite everyone’s warnings, fell for you like a moth to a flame. You were seen in and out of campus together, envied by everyone, including me, of course. I fell for you at that time, from the moment I first saw you, but you were my sister’s girlfriend. I wasn’t so crazy as to try to steal my sister’s person, so I just quietly watched you from the side, silently liking you.
However, you were only with my sister for a month before you fell for another woman. My sister was heartbroken and miserable for a long time because of it. Whenever she was in pain, I was the one she confided in, but the strange thing was, I didn’t hate you. On the contrary, I wanted to get closer to you.” Shi Ya’s tears kept flowing, but it didn’t stop her from narrating the past, word by word.
