- A Pretty Girl Has Her First Kiss Stolen By an Equally Handsome Classmate
- Episode 1.10 - "Wakaba, You're Totally an M"
Friday, February 18
I parted my grown-out bangs in the center and curled the ends outward.
Originally, my hair was a layered bob, but today, it had a slight wolf-cut feel.
The moment we saw each other, Mizuhara immediately reacted to my hairstyle.
“Whoa! You look super cute today!”
Once again, Mizuhara called me “cute.”
Because of my somewhat androgynous features, I was usually described as “cool” rather than “cute.”
Hearing it from Mizuhara made my whole body feel strangely warm.
“Wait, are you blushing?”
“No, it’s just… no one’s ever called me cute before.”
“Really? But you are. You’re really cute.”
Over the past month, as we talked about random things, I gradually got to know Mizuhara better.
Her favorite celebrities, the music she liked, the dramas she’d been watching, the movies she found interesting.
I wasn’t too interested in celebrities, but it made me happy that we liked some of the same shows and films.
Sharing what we both found fun felt like an important part of building our connection.
“Hey, Wakaba, what does ‘special’ mean to you?”
“Huh?”
It was rare for Mizuhara to bring up a topic herself.
“You treat everyone the same way, right?”
“Well… yeah, I guess so.”
“If it had been Komazawa who stopped coming to school instead of me, you would’ve done the same thing, right?”
I couldn’t deny it.
Even if Mizuhara hadn’t been the one I was asked to check on, I would have still visited that person’s house, tried to connect with them, and stayed by their side.
It was easy to imagine.
Honestly, I had a pretty wide circle of friends, and I was always up for hanging out.
Whether they were in another class or even a different school, if we had any connection, I wouldn’t hesitate to spend time with them.
I did have people I considered close friends, but if someone asked if I treated them differently from others…
To be honest, there wasn’t much of a difference.
“I’ve never really thought about what makes someone ‘special.’”
“Hmm, then is a boyfriend special?”
“I think so… but even if I had one, I’d probably still put my friends first.”
I chewed on a Pocky stick, trying to figure out where this conversation was going.
Did Mizuhara like someone?
“How would you treat a boyfriend?”
“Wait, huh?”
“And how do you like to be treated?”
Mizuhara’s words made my body feel even warmer.
“Just normal! Normal is fine!”
“If you had to choose, are you more S or M?”
“What?!”
Even though it was the middle of winter, my cheeks started burning.
Was it the heater?
Or was it Mizuhara messing with me?
“I’m normal! Completely normal!”
“You don’t have to lie. Wakaba, you’re totally an M.”
“No way!”
I swallowed the words, “I wouldn’t know, I’ve never been in a relationship,”
and quickly changed the subject.
Talking about romance with friends was normal, but for some reason, when it was with Mizuhara, it suddenly felt way too embarrassing.
