- Episode 2.10 - "You Can't Taste It Without Using Your Tongue"
Friday, May 27th
Ever since the first time they walked home together, Kaede Wakamatsu had been going home with Shizuku Mizuhara every Friday.
“Sorry, I took longer than I thought.”
“Haha, looks like Mr. Yamabe is worried about you, Mizuhara.”
After the fifth-period class, Mizuhara had been called to the student guidance office by her former homeroom teacher, Mr. Yamabe.
“So, what did you talk about?”
“Just the usual ‘How have you been lately?’ kind of thing. Even though nothing’s really changed.”
Mizuhara casually brushed off Wakamatsu’s question.
“What’s that you’re holding?”
She pointed at Wakamatsu’s belongings—a set of sweets wrapped in a cute pink package.
“Oh, a junior gave it to me during lunch today.”
“Wow, popular people sure get a lot of gifts.”
“No, I’m not popular! Was that a jab?”
Wakamatsu gave her a deadpan look, but Mizuhara continued without caring.
“I don’t get anything at all, so no, it wasn’t a jab.”
“That’s a lie. No way that’s true.”
“Think about it objectively. I don’t have any qualities that would make me popular.”
That’s not true.
Shizuku Mizuhara was beautiful. When her semi-long hair swayed, it was mesmerizing enough to make Wakamatsu unconsciously follow it with her eyes. She also had a great figure, which became even more noticeable during P.E., making it impossible to ignore. Unlike when she was with Wakamatsu, in the classroom, she was calm, charming, and friendly. If the boys in class didn’t fall for her, then who else would they like?
Arriving at Mizuhara’s apartment, she set up a foldable table.
She placed some tea and Pocky on top. While biting into a Pocky stick, Wakamatsu pulled out the sweets from earlier, which made Mizuhara frown.
“Let’s eat these too.”
“No, those were given to you. You should eat them yourself.”
“That’s not it. It’s not like that.”
When Wakamatsu unwrapped the package, inside were cute handmade cookies, chocolates, and candies. Seeing them, Mizuhara let out a sigh.
“Nobody gives handmade cookies for no reason.”
“She said she likes making sweets.”
“That’s just an excuse to give them to you. Anyway, I’m not eating them.”
Since Mizuhara refused, Wakamatsu quietly put the cookies back in the bag.
They sat across from each other at the table and spread out their chemistry assignments.
As Wakamatsu thought about electron structures, he absentmindedly popped a candy into his mouth.
“What flavor is that?”
“Huh? This?”
Mizuhara looked up.
Just as Wakamatsu was about to pick up the candy bag to check, Mizuhara stopped him.
“Wait, let’s play a game.”
Wakamatsu tilted his head in confusion.
“One person licks the candy, and the other guesses the flavor.”
“That’s a real game?”
“Yeah, couples play it. Wanna try?”
Mizuhara closed her textbook and smiled.
“I mean, sure. What do I have to do?”
“Just stay still.”
Mizuhara placed her hands on the floor and slowly moved closer to Wakamatsu.
She reached out, touched his cheek, and gave him a light kiss on the lips.
Wakamatsu’s eyes widened in shock as Mizuhara kissed him again—this time, a French kiss.
“Open your mouth a little.”
Still flustered, Wakamatsu obediently parted his lips. Mizuhara did the same and kissed him again. It was the same as before. While nibbling on his lips, she gently stroked his cheek and jawline. Then, just as Wakamatsu thought she was licking his lips, her tongue slipped inside.
“Hng!?”
“Hey, don’t move.”
Startled, Wakamatsu pulled away, but Mizuhara frowned and pulled him back in. She gently bit his lower lip again.
“W-Why?”
“You can’t taste it without using your tongue.”
“Even if you say that…”
Mizuhara traced her finger along Wakamatsu’s lips, back and forth. Even that slight touch made him tense.
“Nn, w-wait, I can’t.”
As Mizuhara tried to deepen the kiss again, Wakamatsu pushed her shoulders and escaped.
“What do you mean you can’t?”
“I-I can’t breathe…”
With teary eyes, Wakamatsu covered his mouth with his hand, blocking Mizuhara’s lips.
“Breathe slowly through your nose.”
“I said, I can’t!”
“Alright, then just tell me when you need a break.”
With that, Mizuhara kissed him again.
When Wakamatsu felt like he was running out of air, he tapped her shoulder, and she immediately pulled away. She glanced at him, signaling for him to breathe. Wakamatsu obediently took a deep breath while she gave him a moment.
“Haha, you’re getting better at this.”
She laughed and kissed him again, even deeper.
As he got used to the timing of their breaths, his head started feeling light. The sound of their lips pressing together filled the quiet room.
“…Strawberry, right?”
“Huh? Oh, what?”
“I said, let’s play a game.”
“Oh…”
A dumb sound escaped his lips.
He had been so focused on kissing that he had forgotten about the game. Mizuhara reached for the candy bag on the table and checked the label.
“See? It was strawberry.”
“Ah… I guess you can really tell.”
“Well, the game was just an excuse to kiss you anyway.”
She said it so smoothly.
With a seductive smile, Mizuhara cupped Wakamatsu’s cheeks with both hands.
“Deep kisses feel like we’re really connected, don’t they?”
“D-Deep…?”
“Yeah. Want to do it again?”
With his mind clouded, Wakamatsu nodded.
As they kissed, Mizuhara let out soft breaths in between. The sound made Wakamatsu’s body heat up. When her tongue prodded his, he followed her lead, pressing into her mouth. A thin layer of sweat formed on his hands and chest, and his bangs stuck to his forehead.
Slowly, Mizuhara pulled away. Her cheeks were slightly flushed, which made Wakamatsu’s heart pound even harder.
“You’re getting good at this.”
Seeing her alluring smile, Wakamatsu couldn’t look away.
A warning bell rang in his head—he and Mizuhara had just crossed another line they shouldn’t have.
