A Seasonal Erotic Short Story - Chapter 2
I returned to my room and, still disturbed by the sudden incident I saw on the TV, I lay down on the bed. Then, I spread out the fluffy blanket I had curled up in and snuggled underneath it.
To be honest, I was scared.
I had never witnessed an adult man explaining a girl’s rape with such enjoyment, and I never wanted to again for the rest of my life.
The image of the male announcer with bloodshot eyes and a strange smile seemed to be burned into my mind, and even the brief moment of blinking made me afraid to close my eyelids.
(I need to think about something else…)
I tried to forget about the bizarre broadcast incident as I curled up and pulled the blanket over my back, unlocking my phone. I opened the SNS app I always use and began scrolling through my timeline.
The posts of the people I follow showed their usual everyday life. I suddenly felt the tension leave my body. Videos of playing with pets, photos of delicious sweets and drinks, well-posed pictures with friends, complaints about winter break homework, talk about fandom activities, and stories about kids wanting to earn money through part-time jobs. Everyone seemed to be living their normal lives as if the strange broadcast never happened.
As I sent messages to friends and acquaintances I usually interact with, my trembling heart gradually found calm.
(What should I do today, seriously?)
When I calmed down, I remembered that I had no plans for the day. I wanted to go to the New Year’s shrine visit, but I was supposed to go with a friend a few days later. Some of my friends had to spend New Year’s with their families, and I was the only one free from the first day.
(Hmm, I’m so bored.)
With nothing to do, I kept scrolling through my SNS timeline. After losing track of how many times I’d scrolled, a new notification from a group chat I had with my class came down from the top of the screen.
(I wonder what it is. I sent the “Happy New Year” message when the date changed, right?)
Before checking the notification, my idle fingers opened the group chat app. In the chat window of the room that almost the entire 40-person class was part of, there were messages from several people along with an unfamiliar address attached.
[Check this out, it’s seriously messed up.]
The sender of the message was the class clown, a guy who was always lively and a bit of a troublemaker. I didn’t talk to him much, so I didn’t really know what he was like, but I didn’t think he would send anything weird, so I opened the address.
I closed it immediately.
It was something strange. It was seriously messed up. In fact, it was exactly the kind of thing I didn’t want to see the most right now.
The website I opened was called “Alice Movies.” It looked like a video site, with numerous thumbnails, all of them depicting s3x. To make matters worse, children who looked no older than me were being raped by filthy adult men.
(…This is the worst.)
In an instant, the crazed expression of the male announcer I had just seen flashed in my mind. Messages were sent one after another in the group chat.
[What are you sending? That’s disgusting.]
[Get arrested.]
The girls who had probably opened the site just like me began sending hateful messages. I thought about sending something too, so I opened the input field and placed my fingers on the keyboard.
[Ah]
“Ah!”
While I was hesitating over what to send, I accidentally sent random characters. Before I could cancel it, the “read” status appeared, and the number next to it kept increasing. Then a new message appeared, and my mistake was quickly swept away off the screen.
[I was really moved.] [It’s like a dream.] [You’d be crazy not to watch it.]
[You’re insane.] [You should get expelled.] [Criminal.]
Extreme messages filled the screen non-stop, with the problematic URL inserted between them. It wasn’t just one person sending the URL, those who came after kept sending it repeatedly. At first, it was mostly boys, but before I knew it, several girls had also started sending the URL. The once quiet class group chat was in chaos, and I couldn’t help but feel shaken.

I saw a log showing that several girls had left the group chat. It felt almost like harassment, as multiple classmates continued to send the problematic URL.
(Could the app have been hacked or something?)
I tried to make sense of the situation, my mind in chaos. But while it might make sense if just one or two classmates had their accounts taken over, could so many accounts really be hacked all at once?
(Could there have been a virus on the site I visited earlier…?)
That seemed to make sense.
(But my security software didn’t react.)
Maybe it’s not that after all. My phone has the security app my dad bought for me. The last time I accidentally clicked on a weird banner, the security app’s warning page opened, but this time it opened normally.
(Did it really open though?)
As soon as I opened it, explicit images filled the screen, and I quickly pressed the back button, but maybe a warning page had popped up.
(…Maybe I should check it.)
I’m scared and don’t want to look at that site again. But I feel like it’s even scarier to leave the group chat in chaos without knowing the cause. I thought that if I knew the reason, it might calm me down a little.
If anything happens, the security software should protect me. I told myself that, and I opened the problematic URL that was still being posted in the group chat.
