A White Cloud (GL ABO) - Chapter 30
Tomb Cheng pressed the doorbell twice more.
Just as she hesitated about leaving, Shen Zhiqing, wrapped in a robe, got up from bed and opened the door.
The woman leaned lazily against the entryway shoe cabinet.
Her sleepy eyes were hazy, her cheeks lightly flushed.
The slightly open robe revealed creamy white skin.
Her brown curls fell messily over her shoulders.
With a slim waist and long legs, the robe exposed her full, sensual ankles.
Shen Zhiqing opened the door to them unguarded.
With her height advantage, Tomb Cheng only needed to lower her gaze slightly to see the faint outline beneath her chest.
Last night, those full br3asts had pressed against her face and c0ck.
“Good morning.”
As she lingered in those vivid memories, Shen Zhiqing spoke first, her dreamy voice carrying a hint of pride.
After several intimate encounters and pheromone exchanges, Alpha had honestly etched her scent into her heart.
Tomb Cheng coughed awkwardly. Under Xu Yiyi’s upward gaze, she adopted a mature adult demeanor, “Good morning, Dr. Shen.”
This was their agreement for Xu Yiyi’s health—to help her detach from specific settings and recognize her surroundings.
Shen Zhiqing glanced at Alpha, raised her hand, and yawned casually.
Her eyes glistened with faint tears, her lazy expression tinged with nonchalance, “Good morning.”
While the adults spoke, Xu Yiyi’s gaze remained blank, not sparing a glance for Shen Zhiqing.
Tomb Cheng held her hand, bent slightly to meet her eyes, and smiled to draw back the dazed Xu Yiyi, “Yiyi, how do you answer when Dr. Shen greets you?”
Xu Yiyi’s focus returned to Tomb Cheng’s face.
In their silence, the cat, already awake, darted out.
Bread ran to Shen Zhiqing’s feet, circling her affectionately.
Its tail brushed her legs to please her. Ignored by its owner, it meowed resentfully, “Meow~”
Still getting no response, Bread’s gray-blue eyes rounded as it looked at the three at the door.
It sat by Shen Zhiqing’s feet, half-squinting, licking its paw.
Its soft white fur looked very clean, its black-tipped tail swaying behind.
“Good morning,” Xu Yiyi’s childish voice said to Bread.
Tomb Cheng was surprised.
The cat tilted its head, grooming itself, unresponsive.
Shen Zhiqing’s waking eyes narrowed.
She tightened her robe’s belt, tucked her hair behind her ear, and stepped back slightly, creating distance from the two at the door.
She bent down, picked up the cat, and waved its paw in Xu Yiyi’s line of sight, “Good morning, Yiyi.”
With her voice, Bread let out a long, cooperative meow, “Meow~”
The cat’s call was soft and drawn out.
Held by Shen Zhiqing, it didn’t squirm, its tail hanging obediently.
Its raised chin let Shen Zhiqing nuzzle it closely.
Shen Zhiqing scratched its chin, smiling gently, “Is Yiyi here to play with it?”
Bread lay on its owner’s soft chest, enjoying her touch, purring comfortably, “Meow~”
Xu Yiyi stayed silent.
The two adults, unhurried, waited strategically for her to speak.
Shen Zhiqing calmly accepted her scrutiny.
Their eyes met, seeing the same thing in each other.
“Mommy,” Xu Yiyi suddenly gripped Tomb Cheng’s clothes tighter, hiding behind her as if scared.
Tomb Cheng froze, then cast a confused look at Shen Zhiqing.
Alpha’s instinctive plea for help tasted sweet to Shen Zhiqing.
She set Bread down and squatted like Tomb Cheng.
Her robe’s pocket held no candy like her white coat.
Relying on her beautiful face, she showed Xu Yiyi a gentle, refined demeanor, “We meet often at the hospital, remember?”
Fang Qing was a graceful woman, and her daughter naturally surpassed her.
Tomb Cheng had seen Shen Zhiqing’s poised elegance at a gala before, so she wasn’t surprised.
“Yiyi, do you remember Dr. Shen?”
Tomb Cheng carefully nurtured her daughter.
Before Shen Zhiqing could feel jealous, she heard Xu Yiyi call her.
“Dr. Shen, good morning,” Xu Yiyi said, her memory drifting to some past morning.
Seeing her speak, Shen Zhiqing gave Tomb Cheng a reassuring look.
Tomb Cheng exhaled in relief.
Xu Yiyi didn’t yet know what role Dr. Shen would play in her mom’s life.
“Dr. Shen, I wanted to ask where this bakery is. We want to celebrate moving to our new home,” Tomb Cheng said, emphasizing “we” and gently shaking Xu Yiyi’s hand.
Her gaze softened behind her glasses, as if seeking her daughter’s approval.
Shen Zhiqing pursed her lips, watching Alpha’s charming act for her daughter.
Bread rubbed its head against her fingertips again.
Xu Yiyi gave a timid “hmm.”
Tomb Cheng smiled at her warmly.
As an adult, Shen Zhiqing couldn’t show jealousy over a child.
What would that look like?
She paused, then went inside with the cat to get a business card.
She handed it to Tomb Cheng openly in front of Xu Yiyi, her lips pursed, feigning fragility, “This is their card.”
Tomb Cheng thanked her.
As they exchanged it, Shen Zhiqing’s soft fingers brushed Tomb Cheng’s calloused palm and hand, a subtle, suggestive gesture between them.
Taking the card, Tomb Cheng’s ears reddened.
She held Xu Yiyi’s hand and bid Shen Zhiqing goodbye.
Shen Zhiqing watched them in the elevator.
As the doors closed, their eyes met briefly for a second.
The elevator took her Alpha downward and away.
After this start, several interactions later, Xu Yiyi’s recognition of Shen Zhiqing and Bread updated.
Sometimes, when Tomb Cheng returned with her and met Shen Zhiqing leaving, Tomb Cheng noticed Xu Yiyi’s grip on her hand tighten slightly.
Though subtle, the sharp soldier sensed her change.
One day, Omega wore a long black dress, her back largely exposed.
The fabric hugged her slim waist, perfectly showing her curves.
A sparkling diamond necklace adorned her fair neck.
Her usually loose curls were pinned up, accentuating her slender, elegant neck.
Seeing them return, Shen Zhiqing was quite surprised.
She had timed her outing, expecting Tomb Cheng wouldn’t be back, and had Shen Mu pick her up. She hadn’t expected to run into them.
“Dr. Shen?”
Tomb Cheng held two handmade crafts from a parent-child class she took Xu Yiyi to that day, suggested by Shen Zhiqing to help Xu Yiyi learn in her company.
Shen Zhiqing clutched her small purse.
She wore light makeup for the banquet, looking presentable.
The red-lipped, white-toothed woman hid her surprise, staying composed, “Good evening.”
