A White Cloud (GL ABO) - Chapter 36
The Omega’s unguarded affection softened Tomb Cheng’s heart.
She lifted her arm, wrapping it around Shen Zhiqing’s waist, cherishing the rare, precious moment.
Every second felt invaluable.
Tomb Cheng and Shen Zhiqing shared many passionate moments, but tender ones like this were scarce.
This felt like how lovers express affection, full of warmth and intimacy—things that didn’t belong to her and Shen Zhiqing.
Shen Zhiqing didn’t love her before.
No love meant no love, no matter how sincerely Tomb Cheng cared or tried to melt her heart.
Shen Zhiqing didn’t love her because she was an Alpha, a group Shen Zhiqing rejected and despised.
The fire escape stayed silent, quiet enough to hear a pin drop.
They hid behind the iron door, shielded by the wall and door.
In the dim light, Tomb Cheng couldn’t see clearly.
She adjusted her glasses, carefully holding Shen Zhiqing.
Outside, the two nurses’ voices carried, their topic shifting from the research institute to some celebrity.
Shen Zhiqing nestled against her, silent.
If not for her breathing, Tomb Cheng might’ve thought she fainted in her arms.
Tomb Cheng asked softly, “Done?”
She feared startling her, coaxing her like Xu Yiyi, “If we don’t go, someone might come.”
Shen Zhiqing stood on tiptoe, nuzzled her neck, kissed her lips’ corner, and said, “Returning the favor.”
Tomb Cheng thought it was over, but “returning the favor” meant she had to give a kiss too.
Seeing her hesitate, Shen Zhiqing hugged her waist, swaying playfully, saying, “Hurry up~”
Her heart pounded hard.
This woman grew better at enchanting her.
As a soldier, Tomb Cheng faced dangers fearlessly, handling riots calmly with a gun.
Yet, she couldn’t ignore Shen Zhiqing’s request.
Shen Zhiqing teased, “Hurry, recharge done. Time to pick up the kid.”
Her familiar tone gave Tomb Cheng the illusion they’d never parted, as if Xu Yiyi were their love’s fruit.
Tomb Cheng stammered, “You…”
Shen Zhiqing hummed, “Hmm?”
She looked wronged, as if Tomb Cheng were the unreasonable one.
She just wanted a kiss, not something excessive, not a marking right there.
Why hesitate?
As Shen Zhiqing prepared to feign hurt, a gentle force pressed her head.
The Alpha sighed helplessly, “You.”
Those two words held a trace of sweetness and boundless indulgence.
Tomb Cheng’s fingertips slid along Shen Zhiqing’s cheek, stopping at her jaw.
Her breathing slowed.
Shen Zhiqing tensed, clutching the clothes behind Tomb Cheng’s waist.
Tomb Cheng’s lips moved, her voice low and threatening, “Does Dr. Shen know the consequences of teasing an Alpha?”
She warned, “Don’t regret it.”
With that, Tomb Cheng lifted Shen Zhiqing’s chin, forcing her to look up.
Without pause, a fierce kiss with cool breath crashed onto her.
Shen Zhiqing muffled, “Mmm.”
Tomb Cheng held her back, bending to ease her discomfort.
The overwhelming kiss pressed on her lips.
Shen Zhiqing’s nose filled with the other’s scent—faint, proud coolness, like a plum on a snowy branch.
Tomb Cheng pried open her teeth effortlessly.
The Alpha’s tongue invaded her mouth.
Warm, tight, with an unknown sweetness, Shen Zhiqing’s beauty was savored inch by inch.
Tomb Cheng kissed her earnestly, devoutly, her tongue stirring, sweeping every vulnerable spot.
She licked and sucked Shen Zhiqing’s lips.
Lip gloss fragrance filled her mouth.
The Alpha showed no mercy, her fist pressing Shen Zhiqing’s waist, forbidding retreat or shrinking—domineeringly so.
Shen Zhiqing melted, leaning weakly into her.
The Alpha’s kiss moved from lips to neck.
She gasped for air, her ears echoing with her pounding heartbeat, strong and clear.
Her heart drummed.
She didn’t notice the Alpha had opened her collar.
Her white coat hung at her forearms.
Tomb Cheng teased, “No Alpha could resist Dr. Shen like this.”
Charming, captivating.
Tomb Cheng bit her collarbone.
Shen Zhiqing hissed in pain.
The Alpha licked the spot gently, releasing pheromones to soothe her.
With pheromones, pain dulled.
Shen Zhiqing leaned bonelessly on the Alpha, her eyes pitiful, full of softness and grievance.
She accused, red-eyed, “You’re so fierce.”
Tomb Cheng chuckled, releasing more pheromones.
She licked the bitten spot, passing pheromones, and adjusted Shen Zhiqing’s clothes and coat slowly, unhurried, smirking, “Don’t tease Alphas casually.”
Shen Zhiqing wanted to retort—it wasn’t casual, it was only for her!
But, just “taught” a lesson, she felt embarrassed.
She mumbled, dodging the topic.
Once her heartbeat calmed, she glared angrily and stormed out of the fire escape.
Tomb Cheng lingered, savoring Shen Zhiqing’s earlier self, unaware of her own upturned lips, her heart brimming with joy from their closeness.

Shen Zhiqing received Xu Yiyi’s test report. At her desk, she checked the hospital system, noting Xu Yiyi’s new brain CT and MRI images weren’t uploaded yet.
She returned the report to its folder, handed it to Tomb Cheng, and said, “Her physical stats are better than last year’s.
She’s growing, and changes are normal.
As long as they’re within range, it’s fine. Just maintain her status, ensuring healthy, positive growth.”
Tomb Cheng took the medical folder, raising an eyebrow.
Shen Zhiqing’s swift role switch hid the passionate woman from earlier, now all business despite her earlier tender gaze.
Tomb Cheng said, “Thank you, Dr. Shen.”
She stored the folder, looking at the quiet girl beside her with tender affection.
Shen Zhiqing saw, sipped water, and pretended not to notice, avoiding frustration.
In the next room, Zhiman had fallen into a stable sleep.
Su Jue quietly returned to her desk, adding a new entry to Zhiman’s medical file.
She wrote, “Schizophrenia with delusions, differentiation disorder cause still unknown.”
