A White Cloud (GL ABO) - Chapter 49
The two left the bathroom an hour later.
They returned to the room and changed clothes.
When Xu Yiyi came out, her small eyes filled with confusion.
Why had Mommy changed out of the matching parent-child skirt?
Tomb Cheng explained that they got mud on it while walking outside.
Shen Zhiqing’s ears burned, and she didn’t dare respond.
At noon, the school arranged lunch at the hotel’s Western restaurant.
Many people were already seated when Tomb Cheng and the others arrived.
They found a window table and sat together.
Tomb Cheng placed Xu Yiyi innermost.
After carrying her, she shook her hand.
Shen Zhiqing looked down, pointed at the menu, and asked Xu Yiyi what she wanted to eat.
Xu Yiyi stayed silent for a long time.
Shen Zhiqing showed her several pictures, carefully watching her subtle facial changes.
She ordered Italian macaroni, noticing a chef character with a hat on the macaroni page, wearing a flower brooch.
After lunch, the afternoon was family bonding time.
Nearby was a small old schoolhouse.
Each child, flanked by parents, knelt on a Confucian mat at a low wooden table.
Brush, ink, paper, and inkstone were ready.
Teacher Lin hung large calligraphy characters on both sides of the platform, saying, “Pick your favorite character to write. Let’s see whose writing is best.”
Most parents guided their children to copy the examples.
Tomb Cheng hadn’t studied calligraphy, so she ground ink on the inkstone, hesitating.
Shen Zhiqing knelt, leaning toward Xu Yiyi, and asked softly, “Can I write with you?”
Xu Yiyi’s hand, not yet writing, pulled back.
The brush tip accidentally left a black mark on the rice paper.
Tomb Cheng ground ink, caught Shen Zhiqing’s glance, and sighed with mock disappointment, saying, “Why didn’t you invite me to write?”
Shen Zhiqing chimed in, “I’ll write with Yiyi, and Yiyi can teach you.”
The two adults bantered, leaving the decision to Xu Yiyi.
Without speaking, Xu Yiyi leaned slightly toward Shen Zhiqing.
Shen Zhiqing smiled, held her small hand, and guided her to write a stroke on the paper.
Seeing their collaborative writing, Tomb Cheng’s heart swelled with warmth.
[ Mu Mu ]
Soft light streamed through the wooden eaves into the schoolhouse.
From bright sunshine to fleeting fiery clouds, their eyes held tranquility.
Unnoticed, Xu Yiyi showed a tender smile, like new grass breaking through soil, symbolizing her new life.
They didn’t win any calligraphy prizes, but that night, Xu Yiyi held their hands tightly, even sleeping with a smile.
The suite had a separate study.
After Xu Yiyi fell asleep, the two adults entwined again.
Tomb Cheng gave her a suppressant shot.
Shen Zhiqing nestled in her arms; they sat embracing each other.
Two naked female bodies pressed together.
Alpha’s chest touched her spine, a strong heartbeat pulsing through skin into her chest.
Tomb Cheng wrapped them in a thin blanket, asking, “Uncomfortable?”
She meant if her pvssy felt uneasy.
Sitting like this, Alpha’s c0ck remained inside her.
Shen Zhiqing turned, looked up, and said, “No.”
She tilted her head and kissed Tomb Cheng’s chin.
In the quiet night, fireflies glowed in the grass outside.
Night insects hopped on grass tips, dancing freely with fireflies, spreading a cozy, content feeling.
The suppressant syringe lay aside.
Tomb Cheng said nothing, quietly holding Shen Zhiqing.
They returned to sleep in the late night.
Shen Zhiqing reluctantly tugged Tomb Cheng’s sleeve.
Tomb Cheng tucked her and Xu Yiyi in, then slept on the lounge chair beside Xu Yiyi.
Peaceful days passed.
The study trip’s later days included a temple, jungle, and mountaintop.
Seeing tents, Tomb Cheng felt it was like an outing.
The school’s activities ranged from intellectual to labor-intensive.
Building tents together showed their thoughtful planning.
Setting up windproof tents took effort.
With many people around, everyone helped willingly.
Harmony had its discordant notes.
After securing tent stakes, Tomb Cheng wiped sweat from her brow and looked at Shen Zhiqing and Xu Yiyi washing hands nearby.
A glance revealed a couple arguing fiercely over tent setup, pushing responsibilities.
Kids ran around, some trying to mediate but driven off by their anger.
The lead teacher hadn’t arrived.
Tomb Cheng saw Shen Zhiqing lead Xu Yiyi around them, her frown deepening.
“Watch out!” someone shouted.
The arguing pair shoved, lost balance, and nearly fell.
Shen Zhiqing and Xu Yiyi were in the path, near a pile of broken toy shards left by a child.
Shen Zhiqing noticed, quickly shielded Xu Yiyi, ensuring she wouldn’t be hit or fall into the shards.
Shen Zhiqing pursed her lips, closed her eyes, covered Xu Yiyi’s ears, and braced for impact.
Suddenly, a warm embrace caught her.
Tomb Cheng steadied the falling person, pushed them toward their partner, cleared the stones and glass shards, and hugged Shen Zhiqing, hitting a tree.
“Ugh,” she grunted.
Shen Zhiqing lifted Xu Yiyi, grabbed Tomb Cheng’s hand, and said, “Mu Mu, you’re bleeding.”
Glass shards pierced her palm deeply.
Tomb Cheng looked, saw worried faces from Shen Zhiqing and Xu Yiyi, and apologetic ones from the arguing couple.
Her sudden anger faded slightly.
Teacher Lin rushed over, saying, “To the medical tent.”
The doctor used tweezers to remove glass from her palm, then bandaged it.
Tomb Cheng held Xu Yiyi on her lap, soothing softly, “It’s okay, don’t be scared.”
Her palm paled from bl00d loss.
Shen Zhiqing watched the doctor disinfect and dress the wound, lips pursed, silent.
Xu Yiyi trembled against her.
After the cleanup, Teacher Lin brought the couple to apologize.
Tomb Cheng smiled, said it was no big deal, exchanged polite words, and sighed deeply on the way back.
“What’s wrong? Still hurt?” Shen Zhiqing asked, worried. Tomb Cheng’s hand was wrapped in gauze.
Tomb Cheng patted Xu Yiyi’s head, shook her head to show she was fine, and didn’t explain.
She only said she’d need Shen Zhiqing’s help bathing Xu Yiyi tonight.
Shen Zhiqing agreed readily.
Tomb Cheng thought of other things.
Her instinctive reaction exceeded the monitored value range.
The intense electrical surge in that moment made her hit the tree.
She sensed her pheromones were becoming uncontrollable around Shen Zhiqing.
This wasn’t a good sign.
