ABO My Alpha is a Housewife - Chapter 14
But he was in love with Mo Chi.
No one else would do.
Shen Jin’an pulled Mo Chi into his arms, embracing him tightly.
Mo Chi felt suffocated, partly by the seatbelt and partly by Shen Jin’an’s crushing embrace.
He patted Shen Jin’an’s back. What’s wrong? Can you let go? I can’t breathe like this.
He really was struggling to breathe.
But Shen Jin’an had no intention of letting go.
The embrace allowed him to see the back of Mo Chi’s neck. Mo Chi was quite clever he had applied a pheromone-blocking patch to his scent gland upon entering the bar.
No wonder Mo Chi hadn’t been affected when Shen Jin’an released his pheromones earlier.
A wicked thought struck Shen Jin’an he suddenly wanted to see Mo Chi’s emotions stirred by him, instead of being the only one anxious and agitated.
Acting on this impulse, he reached out and tore off the pheromone-blocking patch from Mo Chi’s neck.
What are you doing? Mo Chi struggled to escape Shen Jin’an’s grip, knowing this was a dangerous move.
But the Shen Jin’an before him was no longer the timid boy he once knew. Mo Chi’s struggles were utterly futile against his strength.
Forced to rest his head on Shen Jin’an’s shoulder by the embrace, Mo Chi’s senses were immediately overwhelmed by the champagne-scented pheromones the moment Shen Jin’an released them.
He felt as if he were submerged in a lake of champagne, with no escape.
His glands warmed slightly, sending his emotions soaring, followed by a surge of heat through his body.
The honey-milk scent of his own pheromones quickly diffused, colliding with the champagne fragrance before merging into an indescribably pleasant aroma.
Mo Chi even found this combined scent more appealing than his own pheromone signature.
Of course, it also conjured a vivid illusion of that day he had been temporarily marked.
That same scent had enveloped him then, just as it did now.
Sensing Mo Chi’s rising heat, Shen Jin’an’s lips curled into a smile. Though he hated his own cruel nature, he couldn’t help but feel a thrill at the changes Mo Chi was undergoing because of him.
Mo Chi’s face flushed crimson, his eyes growing hazy. Shen Jin’an could even feel the hand on his back slowly tightening its grip.
Shen Jin’an restrained himself.
He understood Mo Chi well. If he made the first move, Mo Chi would find endless excuses to resist. So he had to endure, forcing Mo Chi to break first and lean in of his own accord.
As expected, seeing Shen Jin’an remain still, Mo Chi tilted his head slightly, his crimson lips brushing against Shen Jin’an’s neck. Shen Jin’an heard Mo Chi murmur, Why are you so cool?
Shen Jin’an snapped back to his senses. How could I do this? He tightened his grip around Mo Chi, wondering if Mo Chi could ever love someone as despicable as him.
Having only recently ended his heat cycle, Shen Jin’an, as an Alpha, had fully released his pheromones, which could easily trigger a brief recurrence of Mo Chi’s heat.
Shen Jin’an regretted his actions.
He worried that his impulsive behavior today would only push Mo Chi further out of reach.
Shen Jin’an began to suppress his pheromone concentration, soothing Mo Chi before his heat cycle could fully return.
Without the overwhelming pheromone stimulation, Mo Chi felt much better.
The oppressive heat receded, replaced by a wave of refreshing relief. Mo Chi, completely drained of energy, slumped limply against Shen Jin’an.
Mo Chi mumbled incoherently, but Shen Jin’an, pressed close to him, could make out his words.
Shen Jin’an, I’m so sleepy.
Shen Jin’an smiled faintly. He must be truly exhausted otherwise, given his spirited nature, he would have surely demanded an explanation for what had just happened.
By the time An Xin drove out, Mo Chi’s car had already vanished from the road.
But it didn’t matter. He could go directly to the Mo Family residence.
Shen Jin’an’s sudden stop had allowed An Xin to arrive at the Mo Family home before them.
The doorbell rang, and Mo Yanfei assumed his son had finally returned. Mo Chi had been in heat recently, so Mo Yanfei had moved out temporarily. Now that Mo Chi’s heat cycle was over and he had a project to focus on, Mo Yanfei had been busy.
As soon as he finished his work, he rushed back home.
But to his surprise, Mo Chi wasn’t home late at night. Assuming his son was out having fun, Mo Yanfei didn’t bother calling him.
Mo Yanfei chuckled, What? Did you forget your own passcode from partying too hard? Need me to open the door for you?
An Xin, seeing Mo Yanfei open the door, felt flustered. Uncle, you’re back?
They all lived in the same neighborhood, and she knew he hadn’t been staying at home lately.
Mo Yanfei’s expression darkened. He had always disliked An Xin, but he tolerated her because his son liked her. Now that Mo Chi was also an Omega, there was no chance of them being together, which secretly pleased Mo Yanfei.
Unaware of the secret relationships among the younger generation, Mo Yanfei, despite his displeasure, reluctantly welcomed An Xin inside.
Mo Yanfei handed An Xin a glass of water and sat down on the sofa. Are you here to see Mo Chi? He hasn’t come home yet.
Not back yet? An Xin wondered. How could he not be back? They left so much earlier than me. Could Shen Jin’an have taken Mo Chi somewhere else?
Though An Xin didn’t voice her questions, her thoughts were written all over her face. Mo Yanfei immediately understood. You and Mo Chi left together?
An Xin fidgeted, wanting to rush out and find Shen Jin’an and Mo Chi immediately. But she remembered how much Mo Chi respected his father and that she would need Mo Chi’s help in the future. If he knew she had been rude to his father, he would surely refuse to help her. Besides, Mo Chi’s father was a top-tier Alpha—it couldn’t hurt to curry favor with him.
Forcing herself to remain calm, An Xin explained, Mo Chi and Shen Jin’an’s car left ahead of mine. I assumed they had already arrived. Should I go back and look for them?
No need.
Mo Yanfei’s curt reply forced An Xin, who had just started to rise, to sit back down.
Mo Yanfei nodded. Thank you for your hard work, Jin’an.
In truth, Mo Yanfei was practically bursting with laughter inside. When Shen Jin’an was younger, observing his gentle nature, Mo Yanfei had assumed he would differentiate into an Omega. At the time, he had thought Mo Chi lacked discernment if it were him, he would have chosen Shen Jin’an without a second thought, never even glancing at An Xin.
But fate had played a trick Shen Jin’an differentiated into an Alpha, while Mo Chi became an Omega. Despite this twist of fate, Mo Yanfei still found the two children remarkably well-suited—a true match made in heaven!
Moreover, Shen Jin’an was exceptionally polite. Whenever he visited the Mo Family home, he always knocked first, waiting for someone to open the door. Yet today, seeing how effortlessly he entered the passcode, it was clear he was quite familiar with the house.
Mo Chi had always had a peculiar habit whenever he was in a good or bad mood, he would change the passcode. In the beginning, Mo Yanfei often found himself locked out. Over time, however, he learned that Mo Chi only cycled through a few different codes. By trying them one by one, he could always eventually find the right one.
Judging by how many attempts Mo Yanfei needed to enter the passcode today, Mo Chi’s emotions must have been quite turbulent recently. Yet Shen Jin’an had entered on his first try, indicating he had been visiting the house frequently.
Watching the two figures ascend the stairs, even their silhouettes seemed perfectly matched. Mo Yanfei sighed inwardly, wondering when his son would finally open his eyes and see Shen Jin’an.
He turned his gaze to find An Xin staring after them, her eyes filled with a hint of resentment. Mo Yanfei frowned. An Xin, Mo Chi is back safe and sound. Thank you for caring about him so much. Now that he’s an Omega, he still lacks any Omega self-awareness. After all these years of him taking care of you, it’s time for you to take care of him too.
An Xin smiled and agreed, Uncle, there’s no need for thanks. Mo Chi has been so good to me all these years. I’ll take good care of him.
But who will take care of me? she thought bitterly. Besides, it’s not like I ever forced Mo Chi to look after me. Why does it sound like it’s my fault if I don’t take care of him now?
A corrupt heart sees corruption in everything.
Mo Yanfei, a veteran of the business world, easily detected her hidden disdain.
She’s definitely no good.
He showed no reaction, simply seeing her off politely. An Xin, it’s getting late. Now that Mo Chi is back, you should head home too.
An Xin shook her head. It’s fine, Uncle. It’s already so late. I’ll wait for Jin’an to settle Mo Chi in and then we can go home together.
You two don’t even live in the same direction. You go left when you leave, and he goes right. Besides, I need to talk to Jin’an about something. You should head home now. Don’t worry your parents.
After carrying Mo Chi into the room, Shen Jin’an left the door ajar, listening to the conversation outside. A smirk tugged at his lips. All those years of cultivating a perfect image in front of Mo Yanfei had finally paid off.
Gazing at the well-behaved figure lying on the bed, Shen Jin’an sighed. The parents were practically won over, but this frog still wasn’t cooked.
Recalling the scene in the car earlier, Shen Jin’an couldn’t resist. He leaned closer, his face drawing nearer to Mo Chi’s.
Perhaps disturbed by Shen Jin’an’s heavy breathing, Mo Chi’s eyes slowly fluttered open just as Shen Jin’an was about to press his lips against those crimson lips he had longed for.
Shen Jin’an froze, caught between wanting to retreat and being unable to advance.
Then, after a moment’s pause, Mo Chi reached up and hooked his arm around Shen Jin’an’s neck, tilting his head slightly.
A fleeting touch, and Mo Chi’s head fell back onto the pillow, resuming his sleep.
He kissed me!
