ABO My Alpha is a Housewife - Chapter 15
When Mo Chi ran into Shen Jin’an again and witnessed him frantically avoiding him, the anger Mo Chi had been suppressing finally erupted.
He blocked Shen Jin’an’s path. Shen Jin’an, what’s your problem? I didn’t blame you for what happened last night. Why are you avoiding me?
Could Shen Jin’an admit he was avoiding Mo Chi because of the indecent things he had dreamed of doing to him the previous night?
Even thinking about Mo Chi made him panic.
Seeing Mo Chi in person left him completely flustered. I’m busy right now. I don’t have time for this. Let’s talk later when I’m done.
Every time he saw Mo Chi, he felt as if Mo Chi were clinging to him, exposing his glands to seduce him.
He needed time to calm down.
Are you really busy? Mo Chi hesitated. Shen Qingyu genuinely looked frantic, his face and neck flushed crimson with urgency.
After a moment’s hesitation, Mo Chi stepped aside. If you’re busy, go ahead and take care of it. But you’ll wait for me tonight. I need to clarify things about An Xin with you.
Last night, Mo Chi had brought up An Xin with Shen Jin’an, but Shen Jin’an had unexpectedly confessed his feelings for him.
Shen Jin’an’s gaze had been so sincere that Mo Chi was left in a daze. He couldn’t tell if Shen Jin’an was telling the truth, but if he was, Mo Chi had no idea how to face him.
What a fucking mess! Mo Chi muttered under his breath. If it were true, would he be caught in a love triangle?
But when had Shen Jin’an started liking him? How could he have been so oblivious? For years, Shen Jin’an had always acted the same around him, nothing seemed out of the ordinary.
Mo Chi was completely baffled. Lost in thought, he shuffled toward the classroom for his next class.
Perhaps fate was determined to reveal the answer.
Mo Chi ran into Shen Jin’an again, but this time, An Xin was with him.
Watching An Xin use the same coquettish, pitiful act on Shen Jin’an that she used on him, Mo Chi couldn’t deny the pang of heartache. He could only repeatedly remind himself that An Xin was manipulative and not a good person, and that he should have given up on his feelings for her long ago.
Yet, as Mo Chi watched the scene unfold, his legs refused to move. He stood there, rooted to the spot, staring blankly at the two figures in the distance, as if struck dumb. He couldn’t even pinpoint what exactly was bothering him.
It wasn’t until he saw An Xin suddenly throw herself at Shen Jin’an, tilting her head back and pouting her lips as if about to do something indecent, that Mo Chi’s legs suddenly felt lighter. He turned and strode away, not daring to glance back at the pair.
So, Shen Jin’an was lying to me after all.
Mo Chi remained oblivious to the fact that he now cared more about Shen Jin’an than An Xin. His mind was in turmoil, his thoughts tangled and chaotic. He could only let his confusion fester.
Get off me!
Shen Jin’an shoved An Xin away and glanced around. Thankfully, no one was nearby otherwise, Mo Chi would have misunderstood, especially since he already doubted Shen Jin’an’s explanations.
He stared down at An Xin, who lay sprawled on the ground, showing no trace of his usual tenderness. The sunny, cheerful expression he usually wore had been replaced by a dark, brooding look.
An Xin, I thought I made it clear I could never fall in love with you.
An Xin looked aggrieved. Why was no one around? She’d distinctly heard footsteps approaching. This was all deliberate she wanted to solidify her relationship with Shen Jin’an once and for all.
Is it because of Mo Chi?
It has nothing to do with Mo Chi. Even without him, you and I could never be together.
How can you know we have no chance if you don’t even try? If you were with me, I guarantee you’d fall in love with me.
An Xin didn’t believe she was lacking in any way. She had always thought that Shen Jin’an didn’t like her because he had never taken the time to truly understand her.
Yet even after she shamelessly clung to him, Shen Jin’an still pushed her away.
Seeing Shen Jin’an like this frightened An Xin. The Shen Jin’an she knew was usually cheerful and sunny, always smiling, with a faint dimple on his left cheek when he laughed.
This was precisely why An Xin persisted in pursuing him despite repeated rejections—Shen Jin’an was just too gentle.
Standing up and rubbing her backside, An Xin was about to say something more when Shen Jin’an’s gaze once again plunged her into an icy abyss.
Shen Jin’an rarely acted this way. An Xin, ever pragmatic, always knew to back off whenever he did.
This time was no different.
She hadn’t given up on Shen Jin’an, but she knew she couldn’t stay here now. She understood she couldn’t push him too far.
After finally seeing An Xin off, Shen Jin’an clutched his head, his mind still reeling from the bizarre dream he’d had the previous night. He’d been so distracted that he hadn’t even registered what An Xin was saying when she called out to him earlier. Suddenly, she had leaped onto him, and only his quick reflexes had prevented her from succeeding. He shuddered to think what rumors might have spread if she had.
Mo Chi had never believed his explanations in the first place, and now, with gossip swirling, he would be even less likely to listen.
Thank goodness I reacted in time, Shen Jin’an thought, forcing himself to regain his composure.
He made his way to the classroom.
Meanwhile, An Xin arrived at the classroom and spotted Mo Chi already seated. She approached Ji Shuran, his deskmate. Ji Shuran, I need to talk to Mo Chi. Could we switch seats? she asked, gesturing to the empty seat she wanted.
Ji Shuran glanced back, then at Mo Chi. He didn’t want to move.
But he also knew Mo Chi and An Xin were close friends. Though they seemed to be at odds lately, Mo Chi’s attitude toward An Xin remained warm.
Ji Shuran’s gaze went unnoticed by Mo Chi.
Or perhaps he simply couldn’t hear what anyone around him was saying, unaware that An Xin was even there.
Ji Shuran switched places with An Xin.
An Xin carefully studied Mo Chi. Mo Chi, I went to see Shen Jin’an again today, but he’s still worried about you. Did you say what I asked you to say to him?
Mo Chi?
Mo Chi!
An Xin nudged Mo Chi impatiently, finally snapping him out of his daze. Seeing it was An Xin, his tone unconsciously turned sharp. What is it?
An Xin froze, stunned. In all the years they’d known each other, even when she’d confessed her feelings for Shen Jin’an and her intention to confess to him, Mo Chi had never spoken to her so harshly.
Always fearless around Mo Chi, An Xin’s tears welled up instantly. She glared at him accusingly. How dare you snap at me! You’ve never snapped at me before! I know you’re hurting because we can’t be together, but do you think I’m not hurting too?
Even after you differentiated into an Omega, I stayed by your side. I always believed you’d differentiate into an Alpha eventually, but you didn’t. I had no choice but to find an Alpha. I’ve always been shy, so Shen Jin’an, whom I’ve known since childhood, was the obvious choice. But you’re so caught up in your own pain that you never consider mine.
Do you even think I’m betraying you by liking Shen Jin’an? You’re the one who betrayed me! If you had differentiated into an Alpha, would I have needed to look elsewhere?
An Xin unleashed all her pent-up grievances on Mo Chi.
Mo Chi’s head was buzzing, his mind echoing with four words Twisting the truth.
