ABO My Alpha is a Housewife - Chapter 16
First, it’s not my fault I didn’t differentiate into an Alpha. You know how much I wanted to.
Second, we were never together, so I don’t owe you anything. Even couples break up, let alone people who were never together in the first place.
Third, I don’t care if you’re thin-skinned or not, but I think you’re pretty thick-skinned. I never stopped you from being with Shen Jin’an. Since you’re together, just stay with him and leave me alone.
Are these two just trying to pick a fight with me?
What do you mean? An Xin was stunned.
If Mo Chi’s earlier harsh tone was understandable due to his bad mood, this coldness was deliberate.
I knew it! You’ve been unhappy all along because I wanted to be with Shen Jin’an. You only pretended to support me in front of him. You’re so selfish!
Mo Chi’s head throbbed. He didn’t want to say another word. An Xin was just being unreasonable. What more could he do? Get down on his knees and beg Shen Jin’an to be with her?
He had seen them together with his own eyes. An Xin was clearly trying to torment him.
Mo Chi stood up, packed his bag, and left the classroom.
He didn’t want to talk to idiots.
Professor Qin entered the classroom just as Mo Chi was leaving. Mo Chi, where are you going? he called out.
Professor Qin, I’m taking a sick day. I’m not feeling well.
Where does it hurt? Hey, I’m talking to you!
Professor Qin walked to the podium and set down his books. Does anyone in the class know what’s going on with Mo Chi?
A few students glanced discreetly at An Xin’s seat and shook their heads. We don’t know either. He seemed fine just now, but then his face suddenly turned pale. He probably really is sick.
Professor Qin nodded. Class Monitor, remind Mo Chi to submit a sick leave form later.
An Xin sat in her seat, utterly humiliated. Mo Chi had run off, and now all eyes in the class were on her. She hated him with a burning passion. How could she ever have thought he was a good person?
Just as she opened her textbook, Shen Jin’an glanced out the window and saw Mo Chi hurrying away.
What’s wrong? Could he be sick?
Before he could dwell on it, Shen Jin’an shot to his feet. Professor Zhang, my stomach hurts. I need to use the restroom.
Where did you go after class?
My stomach wasn’t bothering me after class.
……
Professor Zhang, I’m going to wet myself.
Go ahead.
Shen Jin’an caught up to Mo Chi but suddenly hesitated to approach. His earlier urgency had faded, replaced by the vivid replay of last night’s dream in his mind. How could he possibly face Mo Chi now?
Isn’t that Shen Jin’an? The top Alpha in the first year.
Is that Mo Chi ahead of him?
I saw a post with tons of comments saying they’re a perfect match. Could they be together?
Nah, Mo Chi hates Alphas. He beat me up last time, and I was bedridden for two days.
Me too! I had it worse—I was out for three days. I can’t believe Shen Jin’an would fall for him. Who’d want an Omega like that?
Before they could say more, they met two pairs of eyes glaring at them simultaneously.
Ah, hurry, I can’t hold it any longer!
Wait for me! I’m about to burst too!
The two students sprinted away. Shen Jin’an turned back to find Mo Chi’s glare fixed on him.
Shen Jin’an ……
Hello.
Hello my ass! Mo Chi stormed off, furious. Does Shen Jin’an have no heart? Do we really have to become strangers just because we’re dating?
Shen Jin’an, flustered and acting foolishly out of nervousness, had no idea why Mo Chi was so angry.
After standing there for a moment, he remembered he hadn’t asked Mo Chi why he was in such a hurry to leave. He quickly chased after him.
In the distance, Li Ziyu, who had no morning classes and was meeting friends to play games at an internet cafe, exclaimed in surprise, What’s going on with them?
An Hao looked puzzled. What do you mean? Did they see someone they know?
Li Ziyu nodded. Yeah, two really interesting people. But they seem busy right now and don’t have time to talk. I’ll introduce you next time.
Okay.
An Hao was a new friend Li Ziyu had made recently, and the two got along well. Seeing Shen Jin’an and Mo Chi, Li Ziyu suddenly remembered something. You’re also surnamed An. Do you know An Xin?
An Hao’s eyes flickered before she adopted a confused expression. An Xin? I’ve never heard of her. Is she a friend of yours?
Well, not really a friend. Among Mo Chi’s friends, An Xin was the one he disliked the most, so he rarely spoke to her.
Li Ziyu remained completely oblivious to An Hao’s unusual behavior.
After Mo Chi left, An Xin initially felt angry, but her anger soon gave way to panic.
What if Mo Chi never helped her again? She knew better than anyone how much Shen Jin’an listened to Mo Chi, even before they were together.
As for Mo Chi’s claim that she and Shen Jin’an were already together, An Xin dismissed it, assuming Mo Chi simply saw their relationship as a foregone conclusion.
She considered chasing after Mo Chi to smooth things over, but after years of him always being the one to comfort her, she had no idea how to comfort him.
Besides, Professor Qin’s class wasn’t one you could easily skip.
Restless and anxious, An Xin remained dutifully in her seat.
Ji Shuran had been watching An Xin and Mo Chi’s seats intently. When he saw them arguing, he couldn’t contain his delight. He loathed An Xin, resenting her spoiled and arrogant behavior, which she flaunted because of Mo Chi’s doting affection.
As children, An Xin had bullied his older brother, Ji Jinzhao, relentlessly. If Ji Shuran hadn’t intervened and fought An Xin, his brother might still be suffering her torment. That experience had left Ji Jinzhao with a timid, withdrawn personality that persisted to this day.
Mo Chi was furious, and with Ji Shuran trailing behind him like a shadow, he hailed a taxi and stormed off.
Shen Jin’an hesitated, unsure whether to chase after him. He had rarely seen Mo Chi so enraged.
In the end, Shen Jin’an decided against pursuing him. He pulled out his phone, pondered for a moment, and sent a message to someone he rarely contacted privately.
In the past, he would have immediately turned to An Xin. But ever since she confessed her feelings for him, he had avoided asking her about Mo Chi and had stopped reaching out to her altogether.
His phone buzzed. Ji Shuran glanced at the screen, surprised to see a message from Shen Jin’an.
Did something happen to Mo Chi in class?
Ask Mo Chi himself!
Ji Shuran’s excitement caused him to slam his desk, making a loud clatter.
Young man, please leave the classroom! Professor Qin snapped.
Mortified, Ji Shuran shuffled out of the room. Of all classes, it had to be Professor Qin’s. Though young, Professor Qin taught with the rigidity of an old-fashioned scholar. Sleeping in his class was a cardinal sin, let alone making disruptive noises.
As Ji Shuran reached the doorway, he stuck his tongue out at Professor Qin. Qin Ziyao glared, and Ji Shuran bolted.
Don’t you dare run! Stand at the door and listen to the lecture!
Ji Shuran froze. Old fossil!
