ABO My Alpha is a Housewife - Chapter 2
How utterly annoying! Why be so considerate? And speaking so close with that deep voice is practically cheating.
Despite his thoughts, Mo Chi quickly braced himself and stood up straight. As expected, Shen Jin’an released him.
This time, he descended the stairs much more slowly.
Shen Jin’an had been an excellent cook since childhood, and after all these years, Mo Chi still hadn’t grown tired of his food.
Every time he drank nutrient supplements, he missed Shen Jin’an’s cooking. Chewing thoughtfully, Mo Chi glanced at Shen Jin’an sitting across from him. Shen Jin’an, I really do hate you the most.
Shen Jin’an Just eating a meal, and I’m hated again?
Considering you were injured yesterday, I’ll pretend I didn’t hear that.
After confirming Mo Chi’s injuries were minor, Shen Jin’an had chased down the five Alphas and given them another beating.
Mo Chi’s gaze swept over the scratches on Shen Jin’an’s hand, and he immediately understood.
Shen Jin’an was always like this.
It made Mo Chi hate himself for not differentiating into an Alpha. These were things he should be able to handle himself, weren’t they?
Noticing Mo Chi’s gaze, Shen Jin’an instinctively placed his left hand under the table.
Mo Chi observed Shen Jin’an’s movement.
Still as annoying as ever.
Ignoring the stiff Shen Jin’an, Mo Chi finished eating, cleared his dishes, and began washing them.
Watching Mo Chi’s swaying footsteps, Shen Jin’an rose. I’ll do it.
Don’t come near me.
At these words, Shen Jin’an immediately froze.
I’m going upstairs. Just head home after you’re done eating.
Perhaps because he couldn’t accept being an Omega and had immediately injected inhibitors during his previous heats, the inhibitors were now ineffective, and the intervals between heats were growing shorter each time.
Mo Chi had just recovered from a heat before Shen Jin’an arrived, and he’d hoped he could hold out until Shen Jin’an left. But…
Mo Chi ascended the stairs slowly, feeling his entire body burning. His milk-and-honey-scented pheromones had already begun to permeate the air.
Shen Jin’an sniffed the air, watching Mo Chi’s retreating figure with growing concern.
Mo Chi’s senses were sharper than ever. The burning sensation of Shen Jin’an’s gaze on his back made him groan. Hurry up and finish eating so you can go home, he snapped. If you keep staring, I’ll gouge your eyes out!
You sure know how to talk tough, Shen Jin’an retorted, finally looking away.
After cleaning up the kitchen, Shen Jin’an glanced upstairs, still uneasy.
He applied an isolation patch to his own glands and went upstairs to knock on Mo Chi’s door again.
This time, the Inhibitor injection had no effect whatsoever. Mo Chi lay curled up in his blanket, his face flushed and eyes watery, clenching his jaw tightly to suppress any groan of pain.
Fortunately, since Mo Chi’s differentiation into an Omega, Mo Yanfei had taken precautions, doubling the room’s scent isolation capabilities.
With the windows and door sealed, even though Mo Chi’s pheromones saturated the room, not a trace escaped into the hallway.
Shen Jin’an received no response and detected no pheromone scent. Unaware of the room’s enhanced isolation, he feared something had happened to Mo Chi inside.
Driven by worry, he pushed open the door.
The scent of milk and honey instantly overwhelmed all his senses.
Mo Chi’s pheromones were unique while everyone else’s pheromones had a single scent, his were a complex blend.
This complexity led to Mo Chi being classified as a top-tier Omega after his differentiation. Shen Jin’an adored the scent of Mo Chi’s pheromones.
Unfortunately, Mo Chi hated letting others smell his pheromones, as the scent reminded him that he was an Omega.
The moment Shen Jin’an was enveloped by the pheromones, he felt momentarily dazed. No wonder it’s Mo Chi, he thought. Even as an Omega, he’s capable of shaking me to my core.
Shaking his head to clear his thoughts, Shen Jin’an forced himself to stay focused. He walked to Mo Chi’s bed and pulled back the covers.
Mo Chi now resembled a ripe, crimson apple, so tempting that anyone passing by would want to take a bite. He was utterly irresistible.
Shen Jin’an knelt down and gently stroked Mo Chi’s lips. Stop biting them, he said softly. They’re bleeding. He then offered his arm to Mo Chi’s mouth. If you really can’t resist, bite me instead.
After knowing Mo Chi for so many years, Shen Jin’an understood him well enough. He guessed that Mo Chi didn’t want to make those sounds, that he would despise himself for it.
Mo Chi glared at Shen Jin’an, his eyes bloodshot, each word spat out with venom Shen Jin’an, get out now! Don’t make me hate you even more!
Having known Mo Chi for so many years, Shen Jin’an understood his temperament better than anyone. Even when being ganged up on, Mo Chi had never shown such a vulnerable expression. Now, though he was telling Shen Jin’an to leave, his eyes seemed to plead for him to stay.
Don’t cover yourself with the blanket, Shen Jin’an said. Your body temperature is already high. Covering yourself will only make it worse.
Mo Chi was deeply resentful about his Omega classification and had refused to learn even the most basic physiological knowledge expected of Omegas. Shen Jin’an, on the other hand, had gone out of his way to learn everything he could about it for Mo Chi’s sake.
Mo Chi, unwilling to listen to his nagging, yanked the blanket over himself again, burying himself completely.
Shen Jin’an sighed, bent down, and peeled back the blanket, staring into Mo Chi’s eyes, which snapped open in irritation. I told you, this is bad for your health. If you want me to leave, stop covering yourself.
Mo Chi I really hate Shen Jin’an!
Despite his resentment, Mo Chi didn’t pull the blanket back up.
Shen Jin’an chuckled and gently patted Mo Chi’s head, but Mo Chi dodged the touch. Go away, he snapped.
Withdrawing his hand, Shen Jin’an headed to the bathroom. Mo Chi had barely closed his eyes when he heard the sound of running water. He didn’t have time to wonder what Shen Jin’an was doing.
He yanked the blanket back over himself, burying his head beneath it.
Shen Jin’an had turned the faucet on full blast. He tossed a towel into the basin, braced his hands on either side of the sink, and tilted his head to examine the pheromone-blocking patch stuck to the gland at the back of his neck.
Thank goodness I was prepared for Mo Chi’s condition, he thought. Otherwise, with the pheromone scent permeating this room, I wouldn’t have been able to resist harming him. His pheromones might even have triggered my heat, leading to a terrible mistake.
When Shen Jin’an emerged from the bathroom, he found Mo Chi’s body exposed, his head buried under the blanket.
He chuckled softly, placed the basin on the bedside table, and gently pulled Mo Chi’s head out from under the covers.
Why haven’t you left yet?
You’re so persistent, Mo Chi thought, unwilling to admit he wanted to pull Shen Jin’an closer.
The next moment, he felt a cool towel against his cheek as Shen Jin’an wiped his face.
Shen Jin’an’s pinky accidentally brushed against Mo Chi’s scent gland as he tilted Mo Chi’s head. What are you up to? Mo Chi wondered. Pretending to care for me, but really trying to seduce me!
The slight relief from the coolness vanished instantly, and Mo Chi felt his rationality about to be overwhelmed.
Shen Jin’an looked puzzled. This is exactly what the book said to do, he thought. When an Omega is suffering during their heat, and the Inhibitor has failed but they refuse a temporary mark, this primitive method can provide relief.
But why didn’t Mo Chi seem to be getting any relief?
Should I take you to the hospital? Shen Jin’an asked. Enduring the heat is fine for a while, but if it’s too unbearable, we need to get you medical attention immediately to prevent irreversible damage to your scent gland.
Mo Chi stared at Shen Jin’an, the genuine worry in his eyes too obvious to ignore.
It was like this before his differentiation, Mo Chi had been a powerful figure, taller than Shen Jin’an and with a strong, assertive personality. Shen Jin’an, by contrast, had been small, timid, and easily bullied. Mo Chi had driven away those who tormented him, and from that day on, Shen Jin’an had clung to his side.
But after his differentiation, Mo Chi could no longer see admiration in Shen Jin’an’s eyes, only a bothersome concern.
Don’t look at me like that, Mo Chi said, lifting an arm to drape it over Shen Jin’an’s shoulder, his thumb gently tracing the line of Shen Jin’an’s jaw.
Shen Jin’an’s throat bobbed as he felt the warmth of Mo Chi’s hand. He reached up and pulled Mo Chi’s arm away.
Don’t do that. You’re in heat right now. Touching me will only make you feel worse. Shen Jin’an knew Mo Chi didn’t want to be marked by him, so any physical contact now would ultimately hurt Mo Chi more.
Mo Chi chuckled, shielding his eyes with the arm Shen Jin’an had pulled away. You’re afraid I’ll make you mark me, aren’t you? After all, if An Xin found out you marked me, she’d definitely make a scene.
This has nothing to do with An Xin, Shen Jin’an said, frowning. It seemed An Xin really cared about her namesake. He must still like her, he thought, but unfortunately, both he and An Xin were Omegas.
Their conversation was completely disjointed. Mo Chi realized this annoying man actually had some use. At least seeing Shen Jin’an had replaced the agitation in his heart with a different kind of frustration, making him feel somewhat less miserable.
Mo Chi remained silent, and Shen Jin’an quietly wiped his hands and feet.
Touching Mo Chi’s hand and feeling his body temperature, Shen Jin’an frowned and began unbuttoning Mo Chi’s shirt.
Wait! Mo Chi grabbed his hand. What are you doing?
Washing you.
You’ve touched my hands, my feet, and even my glands. Now you want to see me naked? Shen Jin’an, do you have no shame? I’ll tell An Xin on you! Mo Chi had already been struggling to resist kissing him. The moment Shen Jin’an started undressing him, Mo Chi wanted him to take off his pants too.
Shen Jin’an still didn’t understand. Why would you tell An Xin? I wouldn’t be afraid even if you did. This would be the perfect opportunity to make An Xin give up on him.
This time, Mo Chi genuinely felt like he didn’t recognize Shen Jin’an anymore. When did you become so shameless? An Xin is your girlfriend, yet you’re stripping me? Are you trying to have your cake and eat it too?
Since when has An Xin been my girlfriend? Shen Jin’an finally understood why Mo Chi kept bringing up An Xin. He thought they were together!
Feeling wronged, Shen Jin’an wondered if his feelings weren’t obvious enough. He had come to take care of Mo Chi, even offered to temporarily mark him, and explicitly told him there was nothing between him and An Xin. Why wouldn’t Mo Chi believe him?
Between Alphas and Omegas, offering to mark someone was practically a declaration of love, wasn’t it? Yet Mo Chi still thought he was involved with another Omega!
That expression again.
Mo Chi sighed helplessly. Even after becoming the Alpha he had always dreamed of, Shen Jin’an still wore that vulnerable, easily bullied look.
Really not? Mo Chi asked again, his gaze fixed on Shen Jin’an’s lips.
Of course not! Mmph! Shen Jin’an’s eyes widened as the sensation on his lips made him wonder if he was dreaming.
