ABO My Alpha is a Housewife - Chapter 5
Mo Chi had always been realistic about his alcohol tolerance. After just two glasses, he felt dizzy for a while, broke into a sweat, and went to the restroom. By the time he returned, he felt much better.
The most important thing in the world is food, he thought. For the sake of the crawfish, I’ll reluctantly let Shen Jin’an hover around me today.
Sitting down, Mo Chi began putting on gloves. As a crawfish enthusiast, his movements were practiced and efficient. In no time, he had peeled one and popped it into his mouth. Just as he was about to peel another, Shen Jin’an reached out and placed a freshly peeled crawfish near his lips.
Mo Chi glanced at Shen Jin’an, whose expression remained perfectly normal. He tentatively opened his mouth. Shen Jin’an seemed pleased with his reaction, offering a faint smile as he moved his hand closer, guiding the crawfish into Mo Chi’s mouth.
Mo Chi closed his mouth to chew, but his lips brushed against Shen Jin’an’s fingers, which hadn’t fully withdrawn. The atmosphere between them instantly turned awkward.
Mo Chi’s mind exploded. He hadn’t meant to do that, but the scene looked suspiciously like he was seducing Shen Jin’an, especially as Shen Jin’an’s face flushed visibly red.
This side of Shen Jin’an actually made Mo Chi feel a little fond, reminding him of their kiss a few days ago.
Mo Chi’s Adam’s apple bobbed as he forced himself to turn away, feigning composure. Shen Jin’an’s peach blossom eyes were incredibly captivating, especially when he was silent, simply gazing at you. It always gave you the illusion that you were his entire world.
Years ago, when Shen Jin’an was being bullied by classmates, he had looked at Mo Chi with those same eyes. He hadn’t spoken, hadn’t begged for help, but the moment five-year-old Shen Jin’an shed his first tear, Mo Chi had charged in without hesitation.
Back then, Shen Jin’an had been small and mostly just cute. Now, he was a sunny and handsome Alpha.
Damn it!
As Mo Chi thought about it, the pink bubbles around him vanished. He was supposed to be the most handsome Alpha here!
Hadn’t Shen Jin’an just been captivated by him?
Shen Jin’an remained oblivious.
He was doing it on purpose. He knew his face had always been attractive to Mo Chi, and he knew Mo Chi’s favorite features were his thin lips and peach blossom eyes.
Mo Chi recovered from his daze too quickly, leaving Shen Jin’an feeling somewhat defeated.
Mo Chi avoided Shen Jin’an’s gaze, focusing on peeling shrimp and eating, oblivious to Shen Jin’an’s thoughtful expression. He refused to eat any more shrimp offered by Shen Jin’an.
The already subdued atmosphere at the table plummeted to its lowest point, leaving only the rustling of disposable gloves and the soft sounds of chewing.
Though Mo Chi loathed Shen Jin’an flaunting his Alpha status, he had to admit his cooking skills were truly exceptional. It was a pity he wasn’t a virtuous and beloved Omega with such culinary talent, countless Alphas would be fighting tooth and nail to marry him.
Whether he was a nanny or not was irrelevant what mattered was having an Omega who was both elegant and refined, yet utterly submissive in the bedroom.
Sigh! The more Mo Chi thought about it, the less appealing the crayfish in his hand seemed. Now he was the one who would end up bedridden, the submissive Omega.
Hearing Mo Chi’s sigh, Shen Jin’an was puzzled. The crayfish tasted particularly good today his cooking had improved, making them even more delicious than before.
What’s wrong?
It would have been better if Mo Chi had kept quiet. But as soon as he spoke, Mo Chi turned and glared at him fiercely. Shut up. Don’t talk.
He was already annoyed, and Shen Jin’an’s words only made it worse.
Having finished his meal, Mo Chi took off his gloves, left the table, and washed his hands. Just leave the dishes there, he said. The housekeeper comes in every morning to clean up.
Mo Chi went upstairs.
Shen Jin’an wasn’t upset by Mo Chi’s attitude. He was actually touched that Mo Chi cared enough to tell him not to wash the dishes.
Besides, as long as Mo Chi was still willing to talk to him, things couldn’t be too bad.
Like a frog in slowly warming water, Shen Jin’an had always been patient.
He finished all the shrimp he had peeled for Mo Chi, cleaned up the kitchen, and cracked open Mo Chi’s bedroom door. Hearing the sound of running water, he knew Mo Chi was already showering and getting ready for bed. Satisfied, Shen Jin’an murmured, I’m leaving now, and left the Mo residence.
The days at home were dull. As the pheromone scent from Shen Jin’an’s temporary mark faded, Mo Chi returned to school.
Both Mo Chi and Shen Jin’an had good grades, but neither harbored any dreams of leaving home to make their own way in the world. They both ended up attending South Grace University in C City.
Although South Grace University was located in their city, it ranked among the top ten universities in the country. While Mo Chi’s family felt there were better options, they didn’t object to his choice.
After getting his special leave canceled at the academic affairs office, Mo Chi headed to class. He had two morning lectures that day.
His classmates were surprised to see him back so soon. After all, it was rare for an Omega to end their heat in just half a month without an Alpha’s assistance.
Mo Chi’s aversion to Alphas was well-known, and he carried no Alpha’s scent. No one suspected he’d sought a temporary mark to return early.
An Alpha who disliked Mo Chi immediately mocked, As expected, you don’t even smell like an Omega. Ending your heat so quickly? Are you underdeveloped or something?
An underdeveloped Omega couldn’t even be considered a true Omega. Lacking reproductive capabilities, they were merely weaker than Alphas and Betas, unworthy of a second glance.
Mo Chi shot him a sidelong glance, his fists itching for a fight, but he remained silent, settling into his seat. They were still on school grounds it wasn’t the place for a brawl.
Seeing Mo Chi’s lack of reaction, the Alpha assumed he had struck a nerve, his smug expression growing even more pronounced. He was about to continue his taunts when Mo Chi turned to him, warning, I can tolerate a lot, but I never tolerate idiots!
Meeting Mo Chi’s gaze, the Alpha opened his mouth, then huffed and sat down, muttering, Hmph!
Everyone in the school knew what kind of person Mo Chi was someone who would rather wound himself than let his enemy escape unscathed. He was no ordinary Omega he wasn’t someone they could easily defeat.
Moreover, rumors were circulating that Mo Chi had a secret admirer who would ambush anyone who fought him, knocking them out with a sack over their head. Fighting Mo Chi meant taking two beatings—not a worthwhile exchange.
Since the Alpha had fallen silent, Mo Chi had no time to waste on him. He had stayed up all night gaming and was looking forward to catching some sleep during class.
Mo Chi’s seat was in the back row. As soon as he sat down, he closed his eyes and drifted off.
A rustling sound came from beside him, and soon someone else took the seat next to him.
Mo Chi didn’t care it didn’t matter to him who sat beside him.
Mo Chi, why did your heat end so quickly? Did you meet someone you liked and get temporarily marked? Congratulations!
Mo Chi opened his eyes but didn’t turn to look at the person beside him. An Xin, the person I like.
Is she trying to test me? Does she suspect something between me and Shen Jin’an?
Mo Chi felt a pang of worry. He still felt guilty toward An Xin about this. How could he have let Shen Jin’an manipulate him so easily? What if Shen Jin’an had lied about his relationship with An Xin?
He must have been bewitched back then, his mind clouded by those thin lips.
I can’t let any hint of my true feelings show.
An Xin wasn’t a good person. When he liked her, she kept him dangling. After learning he would forever remain an Omega, she immediately turned to Shen Jin’an, fearing he might compete for Shen Jin’an’s attention now that he was an Omega. She even put on a melodramatic display, confessing her feelings for Shen Jin’an right in front of him.
At the time, he had only felt heartbroken. Now, with a clearer mind, he understood her true intentions.
He replied coldly, You’ve always known who I like, haven’t you?
An Xin choked back a sob. Mo Chi had always liked her, but he had never been so direct about it. This was precisely why she had been able to feign ignorance and hurt him for so long. Why was he being so blunt now?
For the past few weeks, Shen Jin’an had been taking care of Mo Chi every day, cooking for him and refusing to let her visit. She had been worried that something might happen between them.
Mo Chi’s return was too perfectly timed.
When her heat had arrived, Shen Jin’an had rejected her confession. She had found a temporary Alpha to mark her, then returned to school only after the Alpha’s pheromone scent had completely faded from her body—exactly sixteen days later. Mo Chi had returned seventeen days later.
Ever since she had told Mo Chi she liked Shen Jin’an and planned to confess to him, his attitude toward her had been cold. Now, his expression was even more hostile. She had no choice but to walk away.
Mo Chi disdained lying. Judging by his demeanor just now, he had truly endured his heat alone.
An Xin, who prided herself on understanding Mo Chi, felt her worries dissipate. She happily returned to her friend’s side.
The Omega beside her sat back down, and Mo Chi continued to sleep. If he forced himself not to care, one day he might truly stop caring.
Knowing Mo Chi was attending class today, Shen Jin’an rushed to Mo Chi’s classroom as soon as his own class ended. He had Mo Chi’s entire class schedule. At school, whenever Mo Chi was in class, Shen Jin’an could find him at any time.
But when An Xin cornered him at the classroom door, Shen Jin’an realized he’d miscalculated. Why is An Xin in the same class as Mo Chi?! I wish she’d just disappear!
Mo Chi woke up from his nap, stretched languidly, and yawned, ready to head to his next class.
To his surprise, he spotted Shen Jin’an approaching An Xin from afar.
His steps froze, a fiery rage burning in his chest.
That bastard Shen Jin’an lied to me! How could he and An Xin be so intimate if they weren’t dating? I was tricked! He let an Alpha with an Omega temporarily mark me!
Fvck!
The more he thought about it, the more unbearable it became. Mo Chi, who had been about to leave through the back door, abruptly changed direction. These two bastards want to make me suffer? Then no one gets to be happy!
Shen Jin’an genuinely couldn’t understand why An Xin, an Omega, was so persistent. How many times had he rejected her already? He yanked his arm free from her grasp. I told you, stop grabbing me like that!
Just as he finished speaking, a shadow fell over them. He looked up to see Mo Chi standing before them, glaring.
Mo Chi smirked. Keep pretending! Shen Jin’an definitely saw me coming and staged this whole scene. Next time he’s in heat, he’ll still be trying to offer himself to me!
