ABO My Alpha is a Housewife - Chapter 7
If you don’t believe me, there’s nothing I can do about it, Shen Jin’an said, closing the door and ignoring An Xin.
Shen Jin’an, I’ll make you admit you like me! An Xin declared before leaving the Shen residence.
Shen Jiaye watched his son return home and overheard their conversation. Concerned, he asked, Jin’an, do you really not like An Xin?
Dad, An Xin is someone Mo Chi used to like. He refused to acknowledge that Mo Chi might still harbor feelings for her.
But Mo Chi is an Omega now. There’s no future for him and An Xin. If you like her, you should explain things to Mo Chi and be with An Xin. It takes courage for an Omega to pursue you like this.
Shen Jin’an disagreed. Compared to An Xin, isn’t Mo Chi, also an Omega, far more outstanding? He even saved my life.
He hadn’t told his family about his feelings for Mo Chi before because he hadn’t yet managed to seduce him. He feared it would be pointless to mention it.
But now things were different. He had already seduced Mo Chi once, making a promising start. How far could the second or third time be?
As long as there was a chance of seducing Mo Chi, he would spare no effort to win him over!
Thinking this, Shen Jin’an felt his bl00d begin to boil with excitement.
Shen Jiaye helped Shen Jin’an retrieve the ingredients he wanted from the refrigerator, somewhat surprised that Shen Jin’an actually liked Mo Chi.
Doesn’t he dislike Alphas?
Truth be told, before the two children had differentiated, Shen Jiaye had even considered discussing an engagement between them with Mo Yanfei, if both Shen Jin’an and Mo Chi had differentiated into Omegas.
Alas, fate played its cruel hand, and the children’s differentiations turned out to be the opposite. Moreover, after differentiating, Mo Chi developed a strong aversion to Alphas.
Thus, Shen Jiaye had never imagined the two children could ever be together.
Shen Jin’an, however, brushed aside his father’s concerns. Don’t worry, Dad, he said confidently. Your son is so exceptional, he’s bound to fall for me eventually.
Shen Jin’an had unwavering faith in himself.
Since his son was so certain, Shen Jiaye didn’t press further. As someone who had been through this before, he could tell Shen Jin’an had already begun his pursuit, though he hadn’t yet won Mo Chi over. If he likes him, he’ll have to work for it himself, Shen Jiaye thought. I won’t interfere, but I won’t help either—for now.
Still, he couldn’t help but wonder, What about that An Family girl?
An Xin had been visiting their home frequently lately to keep him company, but Shen Jiaye didn’t like her. He was experienced enough to see through her earlier attempts to string Mo Chi along. If she had actually ended up with Mo Chi, I wouldn’t have said a word, he thought.
But when Mo Chi differentiated into an Omega, An Xin immediately declared her affection for Shen Jin’an, a prospect no parent would welcome.
To make matters worse, the children from both families had grown up playing together since childhood, and the An Family was a prominent household, so maintaining appearances was essential. For weeks, Shen Jiaye had endured An Xin’s constant Brother Jin’an this and Brother Jin’an that, until he was nearly sick of it.
Now, hearing An Xin’s name made Shen Jin’an frown. I’ve rejected her countless times. If she refuses to respect our boundaries, we won’t bother with appearances anymore. If she thinks our family’s treatment of her is inappropriate, she should take it up with her parents and have them teach her some manners.
In many cases, maintaining respect requires asserting oneself.
Shen Jinmeng arrived at the door and immediately caught the aroma of cooking, her face lighting up with delight.
Working at the company meant she couldn’t come home every day. Unfortunately, during this period, every time she returned, Shen Jin’an was at the Mo Family visiting Mo Chi, leaving her to eat the cook’s meals.
But the Shen Family shared a consensus when Shen Jin’an was willing to cook, no one wanted anyone else’s food. After a long stretch without his cooking, they would start craving his dishes again.
Shen Jinmeng had once declared that with Shen Jin’an’s culinary skills, even if he refused to work after graduation, she would gladly support her younger brother for life.
Jin’an, you made braised pork today! Shen Jinmeng exclaimed, her eyes lighting up. Braised pork cooked by Shen Jin’an was her absolute favorite.
Shen Jin’an smiled. Sis, go wash your hands. I made all your favorites today.
As the three of them sat down, Shen Jinmeng eagerly grabbed a chopstick full of braised pork. Of course, even this delicious dish couldn’t completely dispel her lingering resentment.
After elegantly wiping the sauce from her lips with a napkin, she fixed her gaze on Shen Jin’an, watching his expression carefully. Is Mo Chi feeling better? He recovered so quickly… You didn’t temporarily mark him, did you?
She had assumed she wouldn’t be able to enjoy Shen Jin’an’s cooking for at least another two weeks.
Shen Jin’an choked on his rice, coughing violently at Shen Jinmeng’s uncanny intuition.
Shen Jiaye stared at his son with undisguised curiosity. He had thought his son’s pursuit of his wife had only just begun, but it seemed he had already made some progress.
Shen Jin’an shoved a piece of braised pork into her mouth. If you want to eat, keep your curiosity in check. He lowered his head to take a bite of rice, pretending not to notice Father Shen’s knowing glances. How could he possibly discuss such a shameful matter with his family? He couldn’t bring himself to do it.
If his son didn’t want to talk about it, there was no point in pressing him. Since they had already temporarily marked each other, it couldn’t be long before he brought Mo Chi home.
Thinking about his future daughter-in-law, Father Shen felt his son’s culinary skills had reached a new level.
Mo Chi hadn’t actually gone home. He had spotted An Xin and, inexplicably, followed her to the Shen family’s house. He saw her talking to Shen Jin’an, her smile almost blindingly bright.
He couldn’t bear to watch any longer and turned back, realizing he shouldn’t have followed her in the first place.
Yet he couldn’t resist the urge to stay close.
That night, Mo Chi had a dream. In it, Shen Jin’an wrapped his arm around An Xin’s waist and walked up to him, a smug look on his face. See? The person you like is mine now.
Mo Chi woke up, agitatedly running his hands through his hair. He’d had similar dreams before, but they always featured An Xin telling him she liked Shen Jin’an. This was the first time Shen Jin’an had appeared in his dream, taunting him.
Mo Chi went downstairs to the boxing room.
This was his favorite place. Whenever he felt upset, he would come here to vent his frustration, releasing his anger while getting in a workout.
Shen Jin’an noticed that Mo Chi’s gaze toward him was even more hostile today. Could it be because of what happened yesterday?
But he and An Xin really had nothing between them!
Shen Jin’an wanted to grab Mo Chi and explain, knowing that if Mo Chi ever found out about any entanglement with someone else, he would never accept him, even if he had developed feelings for him.
He couldn’t let their future be strangled in its cradle.
Mo Chi, An Xin and I really have nothing going on. We’re completely innocent.
Completely innocent? Then why were you hugging and cuddling?
It’s not what you think.
Then tell me what it is!
I’ve never had feelings for An Xin. I don’t like her type!
What’s wrong with her type? Did she offend you? Are you implying my taste is bad?
I don’t like her. If I did, why would I be doing that with you?
What that? Be specific! Don’t let people misunderstand. It was just a temporary mark, wasn’t it? We didn’t do anything more intimate!
Mo Chi’s mind raced, but he remained silent, letting Shen Jin’an stew in his own assumptions.
Though Mo Chi was half a head shorter than Shen Jin’an, his proportions were perfect. His long legs were just as impressive as Shen Jin’an’s, and his calves moved swiftly as he sprinted ahead, making him surprisingly difficult to catch.
Shen Jin’an simply turned back and drove his car up to him.
Mo Chi rarely drove to school, so now Shen Jin’an was driving while he walked, the car crawling alongside him as Shen Jin’an droned on about how he and An Xin were just friends.
A pink sports car pulled up beside them. An Xin leaned out the window. Shen Jin’an, what are you doing? Why are you driving so slowly?
An Xin’s view was blocked by Shen Jin’an’s car, preventing her from seeing Mo Chi, who was still resisting Shen Jin’an in the upper right corner, his pace quickening.
Hearing her voice, Mo Chi turned to look at An Xin, his gaze defiant as he glared at Shen Jin’an. Now that An Xin’s here, let’s see how this jerk tries to cling to me!
Shen Jin’an saw through Mo Chi’s taunting glance, his smile widening as he looked back. In a voice loud enough for An Xin to hear, he explained to Mo Chi, Mo Chi, I don’t like An Xin. Don’t be angry!
Hah! Mo Chi sneered. This kid’s got some nerve!
But An Xin’s expression darkened. She slammed on the accelerator, maneuvering her car to block Shen Jin’an’s path, then stormed out, her face grim and eyes red-rimmed. Mo Chi, I know you and Brother Jin’an are good friends, and I know you used to like me. But you’ve already differentiated into an Omega. There’s no future for us. Why can’t you just let me and Brother Jin’an be together? Do you know how much pain we’ve endured trying to spare your feelings? We love each other, but we can’t be together because of you!
She had always believed Shen Jin’an didn’t truly like him. If she hadn’t stumbled upon Shen Jin’an and Mo Chi today, she would have remained in the dark.
Thinking this, An Xin turned to Shen Jin’an, her face filled with aggrievedness. Brother Jin’an, even if you won’t be with me, Mo Chi and I can never be together. He’s already eighteen, with no chance of a secondary differentiation. Why are you still considering him and refusing to be with me?
As she spoke, An Xin seemed to genuinely feel wronged, a tear rolling down her cheek, making her look utterly pitiful.
The old Mo Chi would have felt sorry for her, but the current Mo Chi, having seen through her manipulative tactics, felt less sympathy.
What he did feel was embarrassment. He had just respected Shen Jin’an as a man who, even if a scoundrel, was at least honest about it. Yet An Xin had twisted his words into a declaration of unrequited love, demanding that Shen Jin’an stay away from him as well.
Excellent!
Mo Chi shot Shen Jin’an a deep look before continuing to walk forward.
Shen Jin’an couldn’t believe An Xin was so dense, misinterpreting such clear words. He slammed his foot on the accelerator, ignoring her standing in the middle of the road to block his car.
An Xin was confident Shen Jin’an wouldn’t hit her, which was why she refused to move. But as the car barreled toward her, Shen Jin’an showed no signs of stopping.
An Xin didn’t dare gamble with her safety. She knew Mo Chi held a special place in Shen Jin’an’s heart—ever since Mo Chi had saved him as a child, his position in Shen Jin’an’s affections had always been paramount.
Furious, An Xin stomped her foot but had no choice but to get back in her car and chase after them.
