Accidentally Provoked My Archenemy [ABO] - Chapter 24
“Wait—”
Sang Yu’s voice rang out.
Cheng Yunan paused for a second but resumed walking without looking back. However, a hand reached out and grabbed his arm.
That strange sensation at the back of his neck returned.
“You…”
Cheng Yunan froze on the spot, completely at a loss for words. His shoulders trembled slightly in disbelief, but he only managed to say a single word before she cut him off.
“It’s done.”
Sang Yu quickly pulled her hand away this time. After giving a brief glance to ensure everything was properly secured, she shifted her gaze to the dark hair of the person in front of her, making no further inappropriate moves.
Cheng Yunan instinctively reached for his collar with his slender fingers. Sang Yu leaned in, her voice low enough for only the two of them to hear as she explained,
“It’s a leak guard.”
“Specifically for omegas. You wear it under your clothes—no one can tell.”
Cheng Yunan’s fingers froze mid-motion. His voice came out hoarse and hard to decipher. “Why?”
Sang Yu didn’t quite catch the deeper meaning in that one-word question. She simply thought he was confused about the thing she had just applied, so she shrugged and stepped back.
“What do you mean, ‘why’?”
Then she chuckled and teased, “Don’t tell me… after all this time, you still haven’t used one of these?”
Seeing him remain silent, she added, deliberately provoking, “It’s fine. If you don’t know how to use it, you can always ask me. I know all about it. I can even smuggle a few more in for you…”
The Imperial Military Academy was under closed management—students weren’t allowed to leave campus without teacher approval. Daily essentials could only be restocked during scheduled holidays.
Of course, rules were rules. There were always a few students who slipped out to party or buy things.
Take Gu Amo, for example.
But this time, Sang Yu didn’t get a chance to finish her sentence.
Cheng Yunan clearly didn’t want to hear another word. Without replying, he walked off silently.
Sang Yu didn’t try to mess with him further, only called out a final, “Be careful,” and then let her gaze drop once he disappeared from sight.
She adjusted her sleeves, then turned without looking back. Her expression darkened and her demeanor shifted sharply. Her voice turned cold:
“Do I need to invite you out?”
As soon as she spoke, the rustling of leaves and clothing sounded from behind the bushes. Gu Amo stepped out nervously, barely breathing.
“Sister Sang…”
“I didn’t mean to.”
“Didn’t mean to?” Sang Yu turned, instantly annoyed at the sight of his awkward, innocent face. “So, what—am I the one who invited you to eavesdrop?”
She clicked her tongue in frustration, then kicked out at him.
“I told you to take the guys to get food, and you come back here to spy on me?”
Sang Yu was genuinely speechless. At first, she thought it was just her imagination. But as she continued teasing Cheng Yunan, she caught faint signs of someone breathing nearby—and confirmed that this idiot had snuck back to eavesdrop.
Her kick wasn’t hard, and Gu Amo dodged it quickly, speaking faster in panic:
“I swear, Sis, I didn’t hear anything!”
“Really, really! Not a word—I swear! I just came back to find something and maybe… catch a glimpse of how badly you wrecked that Cheng guy!”
“Oh?” Sang Yu raised an eyebrow and gave him a meaningful look. “So? Did you see anything?”
Gu Amo suddenly felt a chill crawl down his spine.
“…Uh…”
He hadn’t actually seen anything tragic—though… there was something strange going on.
Should he mention it?
