After a Disabled Alpha Marked a Yandere Female Lead - Chapter 36
Chapter 36: VIP
Inside the room, only the bedside lamp cast a warm glow. Jiang Yun’s eyes were half-closed as she gazed at Zhu Qingluo. Zhu Qingluo’s breathing was light and slow, and her long eyelashes seemed to tremble, but other than that, her face was still. Jiang Yun’s hands were folded and rested on the side of the bed. She lowered her head, taking a relaxed and curious posture, looking at Zhu Qingluo from a new angle.
This person seemed to have some kind of magic that always drew her gaze. It was as if she couldn’t get enough. Jiang Yun didn’t suppress this impulse and ignored the passage of time. She extended a finger and gently brushed it over Zhu Qingluo’s nose, her movement careful, as if she were handling a fragile, precious work of art. Her gaze swept over Zhu Qingluo’s cheeks, which were so fair and clean.
It made her want to take a bite.
Zhu Qingluo felt a tickle on her nose. The touch was like a feather, brushing back and forth. She wanted to immediately swat away the mischievous “feather,” but she was in Jiang Yun’s bed. Doing so might displease her, so she held back the impulse. Suddenly, she felt the gaze from above her head getting closer, radiating a faint “green glow,” as if she were a delicious meal.
Zhu Qingluo pretended to have just woken up. She opened her eyes, focusing on Jiang Yun’s face. “Are you going to rest now?” she asked.
Jiang Yun, “caught in the act,” wasn’t flustered. She looked at Zhu Qingluo’s hair, which was scattered on the pillow, and her finger hooked a strand. “Mmm,” she replied.
Zhu Qingluo was silent for a moment. She watched Jiang Yun’s expression and felt that the distance between them was a little too close. So, she subconsciously moved to the side. Jiang Yun felt the strand of hair slip from her fingertips. She lifted her eyelids and saw that an empty space had opened up in front of her.
Zhu Qingluo was now on the far side of the bed, her hands resting on her stomach, looking very peaceful. Her eyes were half-closed, and her breathing was even. After a while, Jiang Yun also got into bed and lay down beside her. Jiang Yun’s presence was too strong. Because she was subconsciously aware of Jiang Yun’s every move, Zhu Qingluo couldn’t feel sleepy at all. Her mind was wide awake, replaying the day’s events without any logical order, which made her a little excited. This state was completely not conducive to sleep.
The night felt exceptionally long. A touch of annoyance welled up in Zhu Qingluo’s heart. She couldn’t help but wonder if Jiang Yun was asleep yet. She remembered looking at the time when she lay down; it was around 12:30. At least half an hour must have passed. Thinking this, she opened her eyes and turned her head slightly to look. The light in the room was dim, so she could only vaguely make out Jiang Yun’s back. Her breathing was so soft it was almost inaudible.
She probably wasn’t asleep. Zhu Qingluo watched for a moment, then closed her eyes again. However, before she could fall asleep, she heard a rustling sound, as if blankets and clothing were rubbing together. A bad feeling came over Zhu Qingluo. Then, she felt the blanket on her body rise slightly. Jiang Yun had taken the opportunity to get under it. The moment Jiang Yun’s body pressed against hers, the warmth of her body transferred over. She skillfully settled into the crook of Zhu Qingluo’s arm. It was a fluid motion.
Zhu Qingluo was against the wall on her left side, with nowhere to retreat. In the dim environment, a look of surprise appeared on her face. “Are you… asleep?” she asked softly, her body completely still. She could feel Jiang Yun’s breath on one side of her face, leaving a lingering warmth.
After a while, she suddenly heard Jiang Yun speak. “Did you tell anyone else that you came to the manor with me for these two days?”
Zhu Qingluo thought carefully. Before they came, the Zhu family had asked for her location, but that was it. It had nothing to do with this gathering.
“No,” she replied.
