After a One-Night Stand with a Seductive Bad Woman - Chapter 11
The freshman orientation ceremony was as monotonous and predictable as ever.
At 1:55 PM, Lu Jia entered the large lecture hall on the first floor of the Academy of Fine Arts, which was already nearly filled with faculty and students.
Rong Yi sat in the fourth row, near the aisle. When she saw Lu Jia enter through the side door, she turned to look at her.
The seat closest to Rong Yi was empty, while the two to her right were Lu Jia’s newly admitted Academic Master’s students.
They hadn’t had a team-building event yet, only exchanging greetings when they joined the group chat. This was Lu Jia’s first time meeting them in person. The two students had reserved the seats closest to their mentor. Lu Jia smiled warmly, her eyes crinkling at the corners. “Thank you.”
She did have something she wanted to ask her mentor, but seeing that the ceremony was about to begin, she decided to wait until it was over.
After the Party Secretary’s speech, it was now the student representative’s turn, followed by the faculty representative.
Having just woken up, and with the content so dry, Lu Jia found herself struggling to stay awake.
After listening for several minutes, she noticed her two classmates beside her had already started surreptitiously playing on their phones. Glancing at her mentor, who sat upright and attentive, Lu Jia’s fingers paused as she reached for her own phone. She hesitated, then withdrew her hand.
As Lu Jia glanced at her watch, a message popped up on the screen.
It was from Sheng Shubai:
“Little Sister Lu, remember to take a photo of me later…”
The limited screen size prevented her from seeing the rest of the message.
Just as the student representative’s speech was nearing its conclusion, Lu Jia opened the messaging app, only to find the message had already been retracted.
She sent back a question mark, but before she could receive a reply, she heard a familiar name announced over the loudspeaker.
Lu Jia looked up to see a tall woman in a tailored suit striding onto the stage.
Having only ever seen Sheng Shubai in pajamas or casual clothes, this was the first time Lu Jia had seen her in a perfectly fitted women’s suit, accentuating her long legs, slender waist, bright eyes, and crimson lips.
The suit’s dark, ink-like hue subdued her usual flirtatious charm, transforming it into a dignified and serious demeanor.
When she spoke, her voice was clear and melodious, lacking the playful lilt she often used when teasing Lu Jia. Each word carried an air of reliable maturity.
From the moment Sheng Shubai took the stage, the subtle murmurs that had been rippling through the audience vanished completely. The students sat up straight, their eyes fixed on the speaker.
Lu Jia realized that even when serious, this woman was captivating. No wonder she had asked Lu Jia to take a photo.
She quickly raised her phone, adjusted the focus and lighting using the native camera app, and snapped a picture.
With six or seven out of ten students in the audience taking photos, Lu Jia’s actions didn’t seem out of place. She pressed the shutter several times in quick succession, the soft clicks masked by the microphone’s amplification but clearly audible to Rong Yi.
Rong Yi’s gaze, which had been fixed on the stage, calmly shifted. “Do you find it pleasing?” she asked in a low voice.
Lu Jia was already checking the photos in her album, her head still lowered. “Very,” she replied without looking up.
Only after answering did she glance at her mentor beside her, remembering their friendly relationship. She casually held out her phone screen to Rong Yi. “What do you think of the photos I took?”
A tap on her right thigh made Lu Jia turn her head again, meeting the identical expressions of shock on the faces of her two newly acquainted classmates. The one who had tapped her leg was frantically gesturing with her eyes, but Lu Jia couldn’t decipher what she was trying to convey.
Rong Yi: …
After a moment of silence, she said, “They’re… decent.”
“Oh,” Lu Jia replied, assuming her mentor simply disliked being interrupted during the conference.
Seeing her fellow students also avert their gazes, Lu Jia selectively deleted a few poorly captured photos and took a few live shots before finally putting down her phone, intending to send them all to Sheng Shubai after the event.
She straightened her posture and focused on the woman’s speech.
Sheng Shubai wasn’t merely reading from a script; her gaze periodically swept across the audience, her voice rising and falling with practiced cadence. Perhaps it was due to her formal training in public speaking, or perhaps it was the years she had spent as a teacher, but she managed to make even the driest passages sound engaging and memorable.
When she reached a humorous anecdote, the audience responded with laughter, instantly enlivening the atmosphere tenfold.
Lu Jia exchanged several glances with Sheng Shubai. Each time the woman’s gaze met hers, her eyes would sparkle with amusement one moment, only to abruptly shift away the next, drifting toward other parts of the audience.
Before Lu Jia could raise her phone, the moment had passed, leaving her with a tinge of regret.
If she had captured that fleeting eye contact, the photo would have been truly exceptional.
As Sheng Shubai bowed her head to turn a page, a few strands of her raven-black hair fell forward over her shoulder. She only tucked them back behind her ear as she stepped down from the stage, her tassel earrings catching the bright overhead lights and refracting dazzling flashes.
Lu Jia’s gaze followed the tassel earrings down to Sheng Shubai’s slender neck.
Only when the woman had settled into her seat in the front row did Lu Jia finally look away.
She remembered last night, when she had slept with Sheng Shubai and impulsively left a kiss mark on the side of her neck.
It hadn’t been a forceful kiss, the suction light. But when the woman had wrapped her arms around Lu Jia from behind, she had retaliated by biting the same spot, the pain nearly bringing Lu Jia to tears.
Though… she had to admit she enjoyed being treated that way, the mark on the woman’s neck had faded quickly, while hers lingered.
How unfair.
Thankfully, her hair covered it, so no one would easily notice.
Lost in her thoughts, Lu Jia didn’t realize the next segment of the event had begun.
Suddenly, the female classmate to her right nudged her arm again, pointing at her phone to signal a message.
“Xiao Lu, could you send me the photos you took of Professor Sheng earlier? [Fingers crossed emoji]”
Lu Jia first sent a copy to Sheng Shubai, then forwarded the photos to her classmates. Only then did she remember to ask, “What did you want to talk to me about earlier?”
Seeing Lu Jia’s puzzled expression, one of the girls typed and handed her the phone:
You’re so bold! You just went right up to Director Rong and asked if Professor Sheng was pretty!
Lu Jia:Â ?
Why would you say that?
In her memory, Sheng Shubai and Rong Yi seemed to have a decent relationship. Otherwise, why would Sheng Shubai have joked about stealing Lu Jia from Director Rong to make her a student on her very first day?
The two girls simultaneously pulled out their phones. A notification popped up seconds later: they had been added to a newly created three-person group chat.
Messages flooded in as the girls typed furiously, leaving Lu Jia struggling to keep up.
Actually, our advisor and Professor Sheng are like oil and water… Senior Sister said they haven’t exchanged a single word in the two years she’s been here.
Sister Lu, you’re truly my sister now!
We were just bystanders… are we going to get taken down too? (TT)*
Ignorance is bliss! I heard Director Rong is nice… we might still see tomorrow’s sun… (?)
When Lu Jia got out of bed, she checked the weather forecast for the next few days: “It’s going to rain tomorrow.”
The typing of the two students beside Lu Jia paused briefly.
Before Lu Jia could say anything more, polite applause filled the hall, signaling the end of the freshman orientation ceremony.
The two students quickly slipped away, leaving Lu Jia puzzled but deciding to let it go for now.
She knew she sometimes struggled with social interactions, but she couldn’t imagine being so flustered as to ask Rong Yi directly, “Why do you and Professor Sheng not get along?”
Remembering she still had questions for Rong Yi, Lu Jia gathered her thoughts.
Rong Yi paused for a few seconds before replying, “Go back and find a few reference works. Summarize them after reading, then come back and we’ll discuss this further.”
Lu Jia nodded. “Okay, thank you, Professor.”
As she turned to leave, Rong Yi casually asked, “By the way, where do you live? It’s raining heavily outside. If it’s difficult to get home, you can ride with me. I’ll have Mengxi drop you off first.”
Lu Jia gave her neighborhood’s name. “It’s not far, and I’m not in a hurry. Goodbye, Professor.”
Rong Yi, familiar with the area, nodded slightly. “Good choice. It’s close and has good security. Be careful on your way home.”
Since Lu Jia lived with Shi Mengxi, Shi Mengxi naturally drove.
Earlier, during the freshman orientation ceremony, Shi Mengxi had gone upstairs to her studio to wait for the ceremony to end. She had texted just half a minute ago, saying she would be downstairs soon.
After watching Rong Yi leave, Lu Jia glanced at the first row. The seat where Sheng Shubai had been sitting was now empty, indicating she had already left.
Feeling that her relationship with Sheng Shubai wasn’t particularly strained, and genuinely curious, Lu Jia decided to text her directly:
“Professor Sheng, are you and Director Rong not on good terms?”
The reply came almost instantly: “?”
Lu Jia waited patiently for the rest of the message, noticing the “typing…” indicator at the top of the chat window had been displayed for quite some time.
Only when the sound of rain outside the floor-to-ceiling windows gradually subsided did Sheng Shubai finally send her next message.
It was a short line: “Come over again tonight. I’ll tell you in person then.”
Didn’t we just…
It wasn’t that Lu Jia couldn’t handle it. She was nearing her period and had been thinking about such things.
But the bite mark on the back of her neck suddenly throbbed with a strange pain, as if she could still recall the sharp sting of teeth piercing her skin.
And… mixed with the pain, an additional sensation—a dense, rapid pleasure that made her tremble.
Lu Jia thought that ever since Sheng Shubai’s drunken episode in June, the woman had developed a habit of biting her from time to time.
And she, in turn, had grown to enjoy being bitten.
It was 10:30 PM.
After showering, Lu Jia knocked on Sheng Shubai’s door across the hall at the appointed time.
There was hardly any need to knock; the door was ajar, and the living room lights were off.
The motion-sensor light in the hallway illuminated the entrance, casting faint outlines of the living room furniture against the backdrop of the night sky visible through the balcony.
“Miss Sheng?” Lu Jia called softly after closing the door behind her.
Sheng Shubai knew about Lu Jia’s mild night blindness.
Once, she had deliberately turned off the lights while embracing Lu Jia, biting her ear and whispering, “If you can’t see, do your other senses become more sensitive?”
Expecting a similar scenario tonight, Lu Jia paused her habitual reach for the light switch but didn’t press it.
Sure enough, footsteps and a soft chuckle approached from the darkness.
Sheng Shubai stood just a few steps away, her figure barely discernible in the dimness, only her voluptuous curves vaguely outlined.
“Little Sister Lu, should I carry you over?”
Though framed as a question, Sheng Shubai had already wrapped her arm around Lu Jia’s waist.
The silk felt smooth against his skin as he held it, and he could vaguely make out the style of the nightgown Lu Jia was wearing—one he had specifically chosen for her earlier.
It was a delicate, pale green silk nightgown, fitted perfectly at the waist and chest, and ending just a few inches past her thighs.
Lu Jia had always been fair-skinned.
Though her personality could sometimes be a bit wooden, she also possessed an unrefined, childlike softness in her demeanor.
When she obediently changed into the nightgown, her restrained yet compliant manner stirred in Sheng Shubai an almost overwhelming urge to tease her until she cried.
She had never realized she harbored such a peculiar desire.
But after meeting Lu Jia, they discovered a surprising compatibility in this regard.
Lu Jia’s flushed ears as she indulged his experiments, combined with her straightforward nature of expressing her feelings, left Sheng Shubai thoroughly satisfied.
Certain hidden facets of her personality and obscure desires, nurtured daily under Lu Jia’s submissive, adoring gaze, had taken root, blossomed, and spread like vines.
Sheng Shubai paused mid-stride, his hand tightening around her waist. Instead of heading straight for the bed, he redirected them toward the bedroom’s expansive floor-to-ceiling windows.
