- Chapter 34 - Forum Frenzy
The moment she saw who it was, Ye Wenjin was completely stunned.
She racked her brain, going through all her memories since entering the school, but couldn’t recall a single conflict with He Wenxi.
She was certain—there had never been any bad bl00d between them.
So why would He Wenxi try to slander her?
What baffled her even more was the so-called “evidence”—just a few blurry, vaguely suggestive photos.
But as far as Ye Wenjin was concerned, these could be easily disproved. As long as she brought Aunt Wu in to testify, she could clear her name without issue.
So, what was the point of this? Why was He Wenxi so sure the photos were real?
If it turned out they weren’t, then wouldn’t He Wenxi be the one left in a tough spot?
Ye Wenjin stood there, completely bewildered. Watching He Wenxi frown, she couldn’t understand why the girl insisted on doing this.
He Wenxi, too, was starting to sense something was wrong—especially when she saw how many people were in the office. A creeping sense of unease began to settle in her chest.
She had thought Teacher Guan called her in just to ask a few questions, but now it seemed things had taken a different turn.
Her eyes flickered briefly toward Ye Wenjin, then she dropped her gaze and followed Teacher Guan into the office, head held low.
Meanwhile, back in the dance studio, practice had been paused ever since Ye Wenjin was called away. No one expected her to be gone this long.
People began to speculate. They remembered the woman in uniform heading toward the office and couldn’t help but wonder if it had something to do with Ye Wenjin.
And then, as if to confirm their suspicions, He Wenxi was called away too. The whispering in the room grew louder.
With both the teacher and two students gone, practice couldn’t continue. Everyone dropped into gossip mode.
Rong Yunshu had also been keeping a close eye on the situation. She wanted to go check the office herself, but figured she probably wouldn’t be able to find anything out. So, she held off, choosing instead to monitor the forum for any updates.
None of the teachers had the energy to focus on the dance studio right now. The tension in the office had only thickened after He Wenxi arrived.
The pressure made He Wenxi uneasy, but she forced herself to stay calm on the surface.
The dean glanced up as she entered, her brows knitting slightly. “This student is…?”
Teacher Guan quickly stepped in. “Dean, this student’s last name is He.”
The dean nodded and continued, “He Wenxi, were these photos taken by you?”
He Wenxi glanced at the photos, and her heart skipped a beat. She shook her head. “No, Dean. I didn’t take them.”
Everyone in the room frowned.
The secretary’s gaze turned sharp. “You didn’t take them? But you did file the report, didn’t you? He Wenxi, are you aware of the consequences of making a false accusation?”
He Wenxi paled visibly and rushed to explain. “The photos really aren’t mine, but I did see something with my own eyes. I hesitated at first, but… I later overheard that this performance was important, and I didn’t want anything to go wrong. That’s why I reported it to the teachers.”
Teacher Guan frowned. “You say you overheard the performance was important. Where did you hear that from?”
He Wenxi hesitated, then lowered her head. “I overheard some teachers chatting. It wasn’t on purpose.”
The dean’s frown deepened. “If that’s the case, then what about the photos?”
He Wenxi hesitated again, but under so many eyes, she could only confess, “I found them in my locker one day. I don’t know who put them there.”
Her explanation made everyone uncomfortable. Though she was trying hard to clear her name, it was obvious to the teachers and school leaders that her motives weren’t pure.
No one felt it more deeply than Teacher Guan. After all, she and He Wenxi had always been in quiet competition, and for He Wenxi to report Ye Wenjin at such a critical moment—it was too deliberate.
Disappointment filled Teacher Guan’s eyes.
There were only a handful of truly talented students in this batch, and one of them had turned out like this. A good seedling, gone crooked.
A student falsely accusing another just to get ahead—this was the last thing she ever wanted to see.
Teacher Guan felt heavy-hearted. She knew punishment for He Wenxi was inevitable.
At this point, the situation was clear: He Wenxi, driven by personal gain, had submitted misleading “evidence” to frame Ye Wenjin.
But there were still some things that needed to be verified—like where the photos had come from.
The dean paused to think, then said, “It seems we have a good understanding of the situation now. Ye Wenjin is innocent. However, since there are still some unresolved details, we’ll discuss He Wenxi’s punishment after a full investigation.”
As she spoke, her eyes drifted toward Jian Mo, seeking confirmation.
But Jian Mo said nothing.
Ye Wenjin stood quietly beside her, pretending not to hear either.
She wasn’t a saint—she had been framed. It wasn’t something she could just brush off with a smile. At the very least, she wanted to hear a clear verdict on He Wenxi’s punishment.
But the dean had only said they would “investigate,” without giving a timeframe. How long would that take? Until the performance was over?
Ye Wenjin understood—they wanted to keep the impact minimal. The performance was already well underway, and changing the lead now would be disruptive. But she didn’t want to let it go.
In the past, she might’ve kept quiet for the greater good. But now that her “wife” stood beside her, all the courage she had once buried came rushing back. She wanted justice.
The room fell into silence.
When the dean realized Jian Mo wasn’t going to let this go without a resolution, her expression turned even more serious.
She sighed and was just about to speak when Jian Mo looked up, her gaze falling sharply on He Wenxi. The dean’s eyelid twitched.
In the oppressive silence, He Wenxi suddenly felt a piercing gaze on her. She glanced up—and immediately froze.
The woman’s eyes were cold and sharp, like a thousand arrows pointed straight at her. Despite her beauty, her expression was chilling.
And when she realized the woman was standing beside Ye Wenjin, He Wenxi understood—this was someone Ye Wenjin had called in.
But who was she?
Jian Mo chuckled coldly, voice laced with mockery. “Such great acting, what a waste to be in dance.”
He Wenxi’s face stiffened. She looked away and stayed silent.
Teacher Guan hesitated, then asked, “Miss Jian, what do you mean by that?”
No one noticed when Butler Wu had slipped out of the office. But now, in front of everyone, she returned and quietly whispered something to Jian Mo.
Jian Mo took the phone she handed over and scrolled through it casually, an almost playful smile on her lips. “Wanna guess what kind of evidence is on here?”
He Wenxi’s eyelashes fluttered. A wave of panic surged in her chest.
She wanted to act ignorant, but she couldn’t avoid the gazes that turned toward her.
The dean and secretary exchanged looks, both now visibly serious. They understood—Jian Mo had real evidence.
“Miss Jian… I mean, President Jian, what kind of evidence? Please, show us.”
That title—President Jian—sent a shock through the room.
Jian Mo ignored it, lifting her gaze. “He Wenxi, that 100,000 yuan—was it worth it?”
He Wenxi’s face went pale. “You had no right to investigate me!”
Jian Mo’s expression was calm, her voice light. “No right? The person you slandered happens to be my legally wedded wife. Is that reason enough?”
Her words dropped like a bomb.
Any doubt the teachers might’ve had before was gone. This wasn’t hearsay—this was real.
Ye Wenjin and Jian Mo were legally married. And everyone had seen Butler Wu reporting to Jian Mo—it was obvious what their relationship was.
The revelation stunned He Wenxi.
She had never imagined that Ye Wenjin and this woman were married. And worse—those “discreet” moves she thought no one had noticed… had all been exposed.
How much did she know? Everything?
For the first time, fear gripped her so tightly she could barely breathe.
The silence was finally broken by the secretary’s soft sigh.
“Time really flies… I can’t believe Shen Xiyun’s daughter is already married.”
If anyone in the room knew Jian Mo well, it was the secretary. Back when she wasn’t yet in administration, Shen Xiyun had been her student—and her name was still proudly displayed on the school’s alumni wall.
As for Jian Mo, aside from being Shen Xiyun’s daughter, she had also donated scholarships, invested in facilities, and sponsored school events. Her influence was everywhere—even if they rarely saw her in person, they knew who she was.
They just hadn’t expected… she was married.
The dean quickly regained her composure, realizing the matter had to be handled swiftly.
“President Jian, how much have you found out? As long as the evidence is solid, we can finalize He Wenxi’s punishment today.”
Her words left no doubt—they weren’t going to let this slide.
He Wenxi’s face turned ghostly white.
Meanwhile, Teachers Li and Yue were starting to sweat. They exchanged nervous glances, both realizing things had taken a serious turn.
Jian Mo swept her gaze across the room, eyes landing squarely on Li and Yue in the end.
“Someone told you to frame Ye Wenjin, didn’t they? Promised you quite a few perks, too. That the performance was important? That you’d get the lead role? I’m right, aren’t I?”
She phrased it like a question, but every word rang with certainty.
Teacher Guan gasped. But it wasn’t just the words that shocked her—it was Jian Mo’s gaze.
Because she wasn’t even looking at He Wenxi when she spoke.
She was looking at—Li and Yue?
Could it be…
He Wenxi’s lips trembled. She wanted to deny it, but it was like her throat had been glued shut.
And besides… Jian Mo wasn’t wrong.
She had made a deal. The moment she learned how important this performance was, she had vowed to do whatever it took to land the lead.
Everyone said lead and solo roles were equally important, but there was only one lead. It was the spotlight.
And her biggest rival was Ye Wenjin. She feared her more than Yi Huan.
Sure enough, Ye Wenjin nearly snatched that role.
If she succeeded, then all the attention would shift to her—and that was something He Wenxi couldn’t bear.
So yes, she had framed Ye Wenjin. She wasn’t innocent.
And not just that—she’d made other arrangements too. But now…
He Wenxi clenched her fists.
At the same time, back in the classroom, someone suddenly shouted, “Check the forum! Hurry!”
Rong Yunshu’s heart sank. She immediately opened the school forum—and saw a post already going viral.
Someone had uploaded a slew of photos, accusing Ye Wenjin of being a sugar baby. The post was full of outrageous rumors—even claiming she had disowned her own mother.
Gossip is human nature—and with a scandal this juicy, students flocked to the post, making it explode with traffic.
Rong Yunshu cursed under her breath. She didn’t care about appearances anymore—she rushed straight to the office.
Butler Wu was already there, which meant that woman had arrived too.
And as much as Rong Yunshu hated to admit it… this time, she couldn’t solve it alone.
But that woman—she definitely could.
