Chapter 12: Wetting Student Uniforms
Pei Yu arrived at Lingguan as he had promised.
Though he couldn’t see the little fox perform that night, it was rare for the manager to dedicate an entire evening to Hua Che and hold a bidding for his guests.
Pei Yu had come prepared, bringing plenty of money, determined to seize this chance.
Dressed sharply in a dark gray suit, Pei Yu stood in the entrance hall, a figure set apart from the casually dressed crowd.
His voice was low and steady as he asked, “What’s the bid for Hua Che tonight?”
The manager’s eyebrows shot up when he heard the name, his tone immediately becoming obsequious.
“Oh, sir, you’re a bit late. Little fox has an appointment tonight.”
“A few bidders combined, offering an unbeatable price.”
“If you want to book next time, perhaps you should bring partners.”
“How many?” Pei Yu’s gaze darkened.
“Who says your bid can’t match theirs?”
“I want to see him now.”
The manager shrugged, not daring to refuse.
“Follow me. Hua Che and the guests are enjoying themselves.”
Inside the dimly lit private room, Hua Che sat among a group of people.
His white shirt’s collar was torn, black shorts revealed leather garters just below his knees.
He was visibly intoxicated; his eyes bloodshot and glassy.
The wine had soaked his shirt, making it cling to his body, revealing a flush on his chest.
His fox ears drooped softly.
Though he smiled faintly and whispered teasing words, his glazed eyes and watery gaze hinted at suffering beneath the surface.
Pei Yu observed through the glass, his calm demeanor cracking as his expression darkened, anger flaring behind his eyes.
Someone handed Hua Che a full glass of wine, which he obediently gulped down.
He was too drunk to resist when a guest pulled him close, supporting his waist.
The little fox leaned his chin on the person’s shoulder, eyes full of tears and vulnerability.
Just like that day at Kyoto University, when Hua Che slipped out the window and Pei Yu caught his gaze outside the classroom.
Tears streamed freely now, his trembling hand reaching toward the door but only managing to brush the wine glass on the table.
Suddenly, a hand gripped Hua Che’s chin, pressing a wine bottle to his lips and tipping it up.
He struggled weakly, hands pushing against the bottle, but other guests restrained him.
The liquor spilled down his throat, wetting his shirt and running along his collarbone.
He choked and coughed violently, tears mingling with the wine on his cheeks.
Before he could catch his breath, the bottle was pressed to his lips again.
His chest rose and fell rapidly under the tight shirt, muscles twitching with the effort.
Leaning against his captor, Hua Che’s eyes grew vacant and unfocused, his face flushed and damp.
Sounds came from outside, but were drowned by laughter and jeers inside.
Pei Yu slammed his fist against the doorframe, bleeding fingers leaving marks on the wall.
His eyes burned with rage, the air around him thick with a suffocating, fierce energy.
Was this the “surprise” the little fox had prepared? The carefully promised satisfaction?
The manager laughed uneasily, trying to calm him.
“Don’t be mad, sir. Little fox always fetches the highest bids here.”
“But if you want to outbid…”
He raised two fingers.
“Double their combined price.”
That was why he had brought Pei Yu here.
Pei Yu simply turned away, ignoring the bait.
His breath was heavy but he kept a terrifying calm.
“An artist who commands money… I’m not fixated on that.”
He stepped closer to the glass.
The manager, feeling awkward, tried again.
“Tonight, little fox dressed up especially — in a student uniform.”
“He usually doesn’t buy clothes for himself, but tonight, that innocent, fresh look really stood out.”
Pei Yu’s mind blanked at the mention of the uniform.
“Double the price? I’m in.”
The manager blinked in surprise but quickly smiled.
“Are you serious, sir?”
Pei Yu swiped his card.
Inside the room, the others were already ushered out.
Several bowls of herbal soup sat on the table, one half-consumed.
Hua Che sat weakly beside it, nursing his aching ankle.
His strength was nearly gone; the strong alcohol mixed with the sobering medicine churning his stomach violently.
Pei Yu stood over him, blocking the light.
“Is this the surprise you prepared?”
Hua Che’s message earlier still lingered in Pei Yu’s mind: “Professor Pei, will you come tonight? I have a surprise ready.”
The little fox gave a small, drunken smile, eyes blurred but cheeks still flushed.
“Do you like it?”
Pei Yu’s face was tight with anger.
Without warning, he grabbed Hua Che’s arm and pulled him toward a makeshift bathroom.
With irresistible Alpha strength, Pei Yu dragged the half-drunk Omega inside.
Under the shower, cold water poured down from head to toe.
Hua Che gasped, shivering as the chill cut through his drunken heat.
His soaked shirt clung to his body, every curve and muscle outlined clearly.
He leaned unsteadily against the wall.
Pei Yu held the shower control near Hua Che’s slim waist, effectively trapping it, his arms encircling the fox tightly.
Their breaths mingled under the cascade of water.
Pei Yu’s fingers found the marks on Hua Che’s neck — red, not his doing.
His eyes darkened with pain and accusation.
“Won’t you explain this to me?”
He shut off the water and looked down at the trembling fox.
Hua Che’s face was streaked with water and tears, swollen eyes shining with broken light.
His hands clutched Pei Yu, body shaking.
“I’m not lying to you…” His voice broke with sobs.
“I never want this…”
Pei Yu’s eyes widened, gripping the shower control so hard it nearly came off.
“You never want this…?”
“I hate you. I don’t want to see you. You should vanish and never come back!”
“I should just die here…”
Pei Yu covered Hua Che’s mouth, pressing firmly.
“Does saying that make you feel better?”
Looking into those tear-filled eyes, his own heart ached.
“Don’t hate me, little fox.”
Hua Che finally broke, unable to hold back any longer.
He sobbed uncontrollably, shaking with the flood of emotions long bottled up.
Pei Yu held him close, soothing and patting his back gently.
The fox’s voice was muffled by tears, trembling as he cried.
“When I opened the door… I thought you would be the one to hold me.”
