Chapter 14: What A Generous Little Fox, Rich And Generous
Although Hua Che didn’t really think Professor Pei was the type to do something like this, when he found medicine in his wine glass in the private room of Lingguan, he couldn’t imagine any other explanation.
“Why do you look a little regretful?” Pei Yu asked with a smile.
Hua Che’s trembling hands finally steadied as he pulled them out from behind his back.
He took off the emergency alert ring from his ring finger and placed it on the table, sliding it over to Pei Yu.
That help ring, which Hua Che had intended to use to protect himself, was now openly laid before Pei Yu — a clear sign that he wouldn’t ask for help or beg, no matter what happened.
“Maybe you’ll take responsibility for the medicine you slipped in?” Hua Che said.
“Of course I will,” Pei Yu replied.
But this time, it really wasn’t any kind of aphrodisiac.
Hua Che’s fox ears were still damp, with droplets of water trickling down the soft fur and dripping onto his half-open bathrobe.
“Is there a hairdryer here?” Pei Yu asked.
Hua Che pointed toward the cabinet. “There is.”
Without hesitation, he crawled over to Pei Yu, turning his back to him.
The little fox gave a sweet smile, his swollen red eyes nearly closed in a sleepy squint.
“Thank you, Professor Pei.”
The warm air from the hairdryer blew over his sensitive ears, which twitched and dodged the heat.
Pei Yu’s eyes gleamed with mischief as he reached out and pinched one of the twitching ears.
“Don’t move.”
“I can’t help it…” Hua Che’s voice was muffled beneath the hum of the dryer, and though he tried to wiggle free, his ears were caught between Pei Yu’s fingers.
As his ears dried, the fur became fluffy and soft, puffing up into a tangled ball.
Hua Che’s amber eyes flickered with a sly idea.
He straightened up a little, his damp pink tail lifted higher than usual, looking heavier.
The bathrobe’s back was bunched up at the base of his tail, the soaked belt visibly loose.
Though generally slender, this was one of the few places Hua Che had a bit of extra softness — the curve of his body just barely visible beneath the damp fabric.
The belt pressed tightly, emphasizing the roundness, with a hint of black cloth underneath contrasting his pale skin.
He wagged his pink tail, half-supporting himself on the edge of the table, his waist sinking low almost to the surface, while his tail stood high.
“Professor Pei, you need to dry my tail too…” he said, clearly teasing.
Pei Yu grabbed the fox tail and gently tugged Hua Che closer.
“So generous with me, huh? Even lifting your clothes to show me?”
Hua Che fell into Pei Yu’s arms, his wet tail pressed against his back.
“This bathrobe doesn’t really fit…”
He gave a mischievous smile, truly like a charming little fox who had gotten his way.
“I just grabbed it at random, it’s not meant for a fox.”
“Hua Che, I’m an Alpha.”
Turning to face Pei Yu, Hua Che nuzzled his shoulder, sniffing like a canine.
His warm breath brushed Pei Yu’s neck.
“I don’t smell any Alpha pheromones.”
“If you did, you wouldn’t be like this now.”
Without the barrier blocking Pei Yu’s Alpha pheromones, Hua Che would have long since lost control.
Hua Che chuckled softly and leaned his head against Pei Yu’s shoulder, his freshly dried fluffy ears brushing against Pei Yu’s neck.
“My tail needs drying too…” he murmured, showing no intention of moving.
Pei Yu wrapped an arm around Hua Che’s waist, holding the tail in one hand while switching the hairdryer back on with the other.
The warm air blew steadily over the damp tail, slowly drying it.
The tail perked up, the fur near the body soft and covered in fine pink down.
The tail twitched under the heat, and Hua Che shivered slightly in Pei Yu’s arms.
He hugged Pei Yu’s neck tightly, burying his face in the chest and breathing softly.
Pei Yu’s gaze darkened as he moved the dryer closer to the soft underfur, gently running his fingers through the half-damp fur.
“Ah!” Hua Che gasped suddenly, shuddering like the warm air had burned him.
He relaxed against Pei Yu’s chest, his rapid breaths causing his chest to rise and fall, betraying his embarrassment.
Despite being shy, small, clingy sounds escaped his throat.
Pei Yu held the tail firmly, his hand pressing lightly against Hua Che’s body.
Even though the dryer’s heat dried his hand intermittently, it grew more sticky with Hua Che’s pheromones.
“Little fox, you…”
“Don’t speak. Shh, be quiet.”
Hua Che’s muffled voice had a faintly happy tone beneath the dryer’s roar.
The task of drying the tail dragged on, the sensitive base of the tail long since softened and limp in Pei Yu’s hand.
Pei Yu’s hand, now sticky with pheromones, felt the heat from the dryer drying patches of skin, forming flaky spots.
He turned off the dryer but didn’t move his hand.
Instead, he cupped the soaked belt and lifted the slippery little fox up a bit.
The soft tail fit perfectly into Pei Yu’s palm, almost feeling like it could be squeezed out of shape.
Hua Che looked startled and pulled his large ears down, hiding his entire face.
“Don’t be shy — weren’t you the one who threw yourself into my arms?”
Pei Yu teased, pinching Hua Che gently, making the little fox’s cheeks flush even deeper.
“I didn’t…”
Pei Yu’s hands were broad and strong, his palms large enough to cover Hua Che’s tail completely.
The firm grip brought a slight sting.
Hua Che took a few quick breaths, trying to push away the strange sensation but only ended up releasing more pheromones, making Pei Yu’s hands even stickier.
His pheromone sensitivity meant he couldn’t handle even the smallest touch without getting overwhelmed.
If this went on, he’d have to take another expensive medicinal bath.
Hua Che raised his head, pressing his chin against Pei Yu’s chest, eyes glistening with tears, making his red-rimmed eyes look even wetter.
The clever little fox decided to stop the damage and quickly pleaded.
“I’m sorry, Professor Pei…”
But Pei Yu showed no sign of letting him off.
“What for?”
“I’ll take care of my tail, won’t let it cause trouble anymore.”
His serious tone made him seem awkwardly adorable.
Pei Yu smiled and looked down at the messy, fluffy tail.
“Can you really keep it under control?”
Startled by Pei Yu’s intense gaze, Hua Che immediately hugged his tail in front of him, afraid Pei Yu might do something impulsive to it.
“Yes, it’s a very obedient fox tail.”
He sat up straight, resting his knees on Pei Yu’s lap.
“Really, very well-behaved.”
Pei Yu put down the hairdryer and examined the dried and half-dried pheromone marks on his hand.
“This…!”
Hua Che quickly grabbed some wet wipes from the table and covered Pei Yu’s hand with them.
He blushed furiously and avoided eye contact.
“I thought you were doing this on purpose, but turns out you’re the shy one.”
Pei Yu chuckled, watching Hua Che look away and furiously wipe his hand.
“It was on purpose though…”
Hua Che muttered quietly, pressing the wipes down hard on Pei Yu’s hand.
“But… I get shy too.”
“Have you always been this generous? Letting any guest hold your tail and ending up with all your pheromones on their hands?”
There was a dangerous sourness hanging in the air.
“I haven’t.”
Finally turning back, Hua Che held Pei Yu’s hand tightly with both of his.
“I told you — the clips, the school uniform, the fox tail, and my pheromones — none of them are for anyone else…”
He lowered his gaze, looking crestfallen. His ears drooped like a sad little fox.
“You wouldn’t believe me anyway…”
“I do believe you.”
Pei Yu cupped Hua Che’s cheek with his free hand, stroking the heated skin beneath his eye with his thumb.
His gaze was still intense and a little dangerous, but no longer like before.
“Little fox, from now on, it’ll only be for me.”
