After Amnesia, the Fishing-Type O Tempts Me to Mark Her - Chapter 16
“Bite me, and I’ll belong to you completely.”
The moment Cheng Yang heard Xu Xun’s words, she froze.
There were many things they both knew implicitly.
But this… this completely exceeded her expectations.
Cheng Yang had forgotten that an Alpha’s lifelong mark on an Omega could make them pregnant.
Her face suddenly flushed, becoming even redder than Xu Xun’s.
An awkward silence descended between them.
Cheng Yang swallowed hard, her voice hoarse as she spoke.
“Wife, do you… do you have any plans for that?”
Xu Xun asked, “Plans for what?”
Cheng Yang had mustered all her courage to ask the question, but Xu Xun’s counter-question left her even more flustered.
Biting her lower lip, Cheng Yang stammered, “I mean… about having children. What do you think?”
Xu Xun chuckled softly, then stammered for once, “I… I don’t know either. It’s mostly up to you…”
Cheng Yang was truly panicked now, unable to stand or sit still. She desperately wanted to run outside and circle the villa twice, or perhaps bash her head against the wall to knock herself unconscious.
“W-why are you looking at me? I… I…”
Cheng Yang stammered for a while, unable to find the right words. She sat beside Xu Xun, her face flushed crimson, gripping her hand with a solemn expression.
“I’ll do whatever you want.”
Xu Xun finally couldn’t help but burst into laughter.
She stared at Cheng Yang’s flushed cheeks and bl00d-red ear tips, then reached out to scratch the Alpha’s chin.
“What’s gotten into you today? Why are you blushing so much? It’s just a lifelong bond, you know?”
“The way you say that… it sounds so casual…” Cheng Yang muttered, then fell silent.
Her entire being felt like it was burning from the inside out. She couldn’t even bring herself to look up at Xu Xun. She even wished she could plug her nose to block out Xu Xun’s intoxicating scent.
Xu Xun actively wrapped her arms around Cheng Yang’s neck.
Seeing Cheng Yang instinctively flinch back, Xu Xun leaned in even closer.
“Yangyang, what are you hiding from?”
Cheng Yang swallowed nervously, her gaze darting around. “Nothing.”
“Oh.”
Xu Xun chuckled softly, pressing her palm against Cheng Yang’s chest. Her voice was warm and teasing. “Your heart is racing.”
Cheng Yang glanced guiltily at Xu Xun, then grabbed her wrist and bit down on her middle and ring fingers.
This sudden move only made Xu Xun even more delighted.
Cheng Yang’s sharp canines grazed Xu Xun’s fingers for a moment before she reluctantly released them.
She smacked her lips, feeling like something was missing from Xu Xun’s hand.
“Wife, why aren’t you wearing your ring?”
Xu Xun’s lips curved into a smile. “It’s at home. I’ve been too busy lately to wear it.”
Cheng Yang nodded. “Oh, that’s fine. Better not to wear it anyway. If the paparazzi caught you, it would be a mess to explain. Emergency PR and all that—too much trouble.”
“But Yangyang, when do you think we should go public with our relationship?”
Cheng Yang pondered for a moment, ultimately deciding that now wasn’t the right time.
Xu Xun never seemed to take her career seriously.
Cheng Yang wanted to reason with her, but whenever she tried, Xu Xun would coax her with that soft, gentle voice.
“Wife.”
Cheng Yang said earnestly, “Let’s not go public just yet, okay?”
As soon as the words left her lips, the smile on Xu Xun’s face gradually froze.
“Why? You promised me! You said we’d announce our relationship in a few months.”
Cheng Yang dreaded these kinds of questions from Xu Xun.
She always felt that Xu Xun brought up marking and going public because she lacked security.
But Cheng Yang knew she was currently at a crucial stage in her career. A single misstep could plunge her into the eye of a media storm.
Staying private was the wisest choice.
Cheng Yang paused, then patiently explained, “Wife, I don’t want you to sacrifice your bright future for me. Right now, we need to avoid risks, not…”
Xu Xun’s eyes suddenly reddened. “Are you saying I’m being unreasonable?”
Cheng Yang was startled by the Omega’s sudden loss of control.
“A’Xun, that’s not what I meant. I just don’t want you to let your emotions cloud your judgment.”
Xu Xun laughed bitterly, tears shimmering in his eyes. “What future? What career? None of it matters to me as much as you. All these years I’ve been filming, clawing my way to the top… it was all for…”
His voice trailed off. Xu Xun bit his lower lip, refusing to speak further.
Cheng Yang tentatively asked, “A’Xun, what do you mean?”
Xu Xun lowered his gaze and burrowed into Cheng Yang’s arms, his voice thick with hurt.
“Yangyang, I don’t like being an actor. My greatest wish is to live a simple, ordinary life with the person I love.”
“But the person I love is you.”
“You’re the darling of the world, walking a path bathed in the spotlight. You’d never notice someone like me, a nobody.”
“Acting was the only way I could think of to get closer to you.”
Xu Xun poured out his heart in one breath.
Cheng Yang finally understood.
Her heart pounded like a drum. There could be no sweeter confession in the world.
Cheng Yang’s entire body went numb. “Wife, you…”
Xu Xun lifted his head, expertly pressed his palm against the back of Cheng Yang’s neck, and pulled her into a kiss.
Their lips met, their tongues entwining.
The lingering fragrance of peach juice still clung to Cheng Yang’s mouth. Xu Xun nipped at her lower lip, a soft moan escaping his throat.
“Yangyang… all these years of effort… *mmh*…” Xu Xun’s voice broke intermittently.
“It was all… all to make you see me.”
“Now… now that my dream has come true, I’d give up everything else. I only want… *ah!*”
Xu Xun moaned softly, arching back against the sofa. He tugged on Cheng Yang’s neck, pressing the Alpha’s head down gently.
Cheng Yang’s hands gripped his waist.
At first, she had intended to keep it brief, but Xu Xun’s overwhelming passion and initiative—even wrapping his legs around her waist to keep her from pulling away—made it impossible to resist.
“Wife, I can’t…”
“You can.”
Xu Xun tilted her head, deliberately brushing her hair aside to reveal a small patch of sweet, alluring scent glands.
“Yangyang,” she murmured, her Omega voice like honeyed nectar.
“See, Yangyang?” Xu Xun coaxed, her eyes sparkling with anticipation. “Bite me, and I’ll belong to you completely.”
Cheng Yang shook her head, her voice low and urgent. “You’re insane! What if you get pregnant? Have you even considered the consequences?”
Xu Xun smirked, continuing to coax her. “Don’t worry, I’ll take precautions. I’m not that reckless.”
Cheng Yang didn’t believe a word of her nonsense.
At first, Cheng Yang had thought Xu Xun was a gentle, considerate Omega who prioritized the bigger picture. But today, her true nature had finally been revealed.
Seeing Cheng Yang’s continued hesitation to mark her, Xu Xun persisted. “If I did get pregnant, we could just terminate it.”
Cheng Yang stared in disbelief. “What are you saying?! Do you even know how damaging abortions are to the body?”
Xu Xun pressed Cheng Yang down, relentlessly releasing pheromones to tempt her.
“Then I’ll just have the baby. We’ll have a little Yangyang for you to play with.”
