- Chapter 15 - Liar, liar, she is being rubbed so hard that she is uncomfortable
The next day, after breakfast, Bai Zixin carried herself with unusual confidence, as if declaring to the world, I’m in top form today.
She leaned back on the sofa, legs crossed and swaying like a well-fed kitten, bright eyes sparkling, lips still carrying the faint fragrance of freshly cooked eggs.
“I finally feel alive again…” She yawned softly, wiping the corner of her mouth with lazy grace. Yesterday those two wolves nearly drained me dry. No wonder my legs were weak…
The next second—
The air grew still, heavy, as though unseen eyes had fastened onto her.
When she turned, she instantly regretted it.
Two burning gazes were locked firmly on her.
Gao Muting leaned forward with one arm on the sofa, his posture like a predator ready to spring. His dark eyes seemed to weigh her strength, calculating how many rounds she could endure.
Ye Yibai, on the other hand, held his teacup with calm elegance, his smile warm, yet his eyes glimmered with dangerous intent. “My dear, you look so good today. Your cheeks are rosy, your spirit so bright… I can’t help but want to spend more time with you.”
Bai Zixin almost choked on her milk tea.
“I—I’m just full! Stop looking at me like I’m prey!” She scrambled to her feet, her voice breaking in panic. “I’ll… I’ll just head upstairs to check some documents. Important documents. I should lock the door—uh, I mean use the security lock!”
Before she could escape, Gao Muting stood, catching her by the wrist and sweeping her into his arms.
“Didn’t you say you’re feeling refreshed?” His voice was low, steady. “Then it’s time for warm-up exercises.”
“Hey! How can you twist my words like this? I was only talking!” she cried, struggling.
He looked down expressionlessly. “So are we. Talking—with our bodies.”
Bai Zixin gasped. “What kind of logic is that?!”
Ye Yibai rose more slowly, carrying a bottle of vitamins, his smile deceptively gentle. “Remember to keep up your strength. I’ll prepare something for you.”
“You… you wolf in sheep’s clothing!” Bai Zixin snapped, glaring at him.
The door shut behind them with a decisive click, sealing her fate.
The bed covers flew as Gao Muting pressed her onto the mattress.
“Stop! I just got my energy back—now you’ll ruin me again!” she cried.
His lips brushed her ear, his voice rough with suppressed hunger. “Do you know how tempting you were just now, with milk at the corner of your mouth and that innocent look in your eyes?”
Ye Yibai’s fingers traced her collarbone, lingering with gentle pressure that made her shiver. His voice was soft, coaxing. “If you admit defeat now, perhaps we’ll be gentler.”
“I did nothing wrong! You’re the ones bullying me!” she protested, her words trembling. They promised to let me rest today… liars!
But their relentless affection soon drowned her complaints.
Later, curled up in the blankets with her face buried and only her red ears peeking out, she whimpered softly, “Wuwu… you said it was just exercise… why are there always make-up lessons and extra practice? Slow down… I hate you both…”
Gao Muting leaned closer, his hand resting at her waist. “You’re the one who said you were full of energy.”
Ye Yibai brushed her ear with his lips, whispering, “We only want to cherish you.”
Bai Zixin’s words dissolved into muffled sobs. She pressed her flushed face into the pillow, powerless against their persistence.
“Tomorrow,” she muttered weakly, “I’m locking my own door. I’ll sleep in the guest room. You’re not allowed to come in…”
Gao Muting chuckled low against her skin. “Then we’ll go there early and wait.”
Ye Yibai’s voice followed, warm and certain. “You won’t be able to sleep without us.”
“Wuwu… I don’t want to talk to you anymore…” she cried, though her blushing cheeks and softened lips betrayed her true feelings.
Because no matter how tightly she locked the door—she could never lock away the two hearts that refused to leave her.
