- Chapter 26 - I ordered a large bed to take up my sweetheart's time
Pei Yanchuan only went to the kitchen to pour himself a glass of sparkling water.
When he came back less than three minutes later and stepped into the living room, he froze.
Bai Zixin was nestled in Gao Muting’s arms, leaning softly against his chest. The corner of her lips still carried the shine of a kiss, her eyes hazy and innocent, her face flushed like a freshly baked cream puff.
And her lips… were swollen.
It was obvious Ye Yibai had kissed her too.
The air instantly froze.
The smile on Pei Yanchuan’s face vanished almost at once. Dark currents surged beneath his calm gaze, and though his voice remained gentle, it dropped low like a blade of ice:
“Today is my scheduled time with my good girl.”
He spoke each word clearly, rolling up his sleeves slowly, as if he was about to strike at any moment.
“You two have taken long enough.”
Gao Muting, sitting on the sofa with his arm around Bai Zixin, didn’t even look up as he replied coldly:
“Didn’t you just hold her through an entire interstellar meeting?”
“And you made the whole department greet her one by one,” Ye Yibai added, his tone honey-sweet as he tugged Bai Zixin’s other hand back into his palm. “Showing off your wife with public funds felt pretty good, didn’t it? Now you want to snatch her away too? You’ll have to wait in line.”
The three of them faced off, the atmosphere dropping to freezing point.
Meanwhile, Bai Zixin was perfectly “trapped” in the middle of the sofa, surrounded on all sides, like a sweet and helpless little rice cake about to be split apart.
She muttered in a tiny voice, “Can’t you stop fighting… all I really want today is—”
Before she could finish, all three spoke in unison:
“Sleep together!”
Bai Zixin: “Wait—no way…???”
That wasn’t what she meant at all!!
But protests were useless. In the end, one bed, four people.
With men on both sides, their body heat pressing close, she became nothing but a shared resource in the middle.
Shrinking into a ball, she cursed herself eighteen times over—especially when Pei Yanchuan, while Gao Muting and Ye Yibai were still arguing over who should tuck her in, leaned close to her ear and whispered:
“Good girl, it’s my turn to make up for the goodnight kiss… Don’t forget you still owe me the forehead kiss from yesterday.”
Her mind went blank, her heart exploded, and her face burned like a brand-new iron pressed to her skin.
—At that moment, she regretted bringing up the schedule system more than anything.
The next morning, sunlight spilled inside, too gentle to be real.
Bai Zixin held onto the wall, staggering out of the bedroom. She looked like she had been crushed by soft candy, her legs refusing to cooperate, her waist hardly even her own.
She whimpered softly, “Ah… ahhh…”
Gao Muting frowned: “Where do you feel unwell?”
Bai Zixin shot him a furious glare. “You dare ask?! My legs are about to break from being held all night!!”
Ye Yibai quickly leaned close, pretending to be innocent. “I was the gentlest, okay? I’ll carry you to the sofa. I won’t fight for cuddle space today, I’ll just be a footrest.”
Pei Yanchuan came out of the kitchen carrying a cup of hot milk, his smile sly as a fox. “Seeing you like this makes me very satisfied.”
His tone was soft yet cunning, like a cat owner coaxing his pet:
“Do you want to go back for a nap? I’ll take responsibility for stretching your legs.”
Bai Zixin had just lifted the milk to drink when—“Pfft!”—she sprayed it out in one burst, glaring at all three.
“You!! Go to work properly! Today I want to drink tea and watch dramas by myself. No touching, no hugging, no kissing, no teasing. Especially you—” She pointed at Pei Yanchuan. “Don’t you dare say things that make my legs weak!”
The three exchanged a glance and obediently nodded on the surface.
But the moment she turned around and walked two steps, her knees buckled and she nearly fell.
All three immediately moved at once—one steadying her, another scooping her up in a princess carry. And the next second, Bai Zixin was back on the sofa.
They pampered her, comforted her, massaged her legs, offered a heating pad, and even prepared a milk foot bath at the side.
Bai Zixin collapsed into a sticky rice dumpling, mumbling regretfully:
“Why… why did I ever suggest that rotation system…”
At that moment, Pei Yanchuan tapped his phone screen and pulled up a page.
“The bed I ordered has arrived. S-class safety certified, designed for three husbands pampering one wife. Wider, shock-resistant, anti-squeeze, with a built-in emotional comfort system.”
Ye Yibai blinked in surprise. “You even thought of that?”
Gao Muting gave a cold laugh. “Of course you did.”
Bai Zixin: “…Which of you three is the real fox???”
Not far away, in the bedroom, lay the only one of its kind in the entire galaxy—a custom bed where four people could sleep together without feeling crowded.
And from that moment on, her fate went from “taking turns,” to “all at once,” to not even resting without a schedule—completely out of control!
