After Becoming a Scummy Alpha, the Movie Queen Just Wants to Pamper Her Wife (LILY, ABO) - Chapter 8
Xi Xiaoyan began to draw.
A cool tickle brushed the tip of Meng Chuwu’s nose like a current running through her body. She shivered without meaning to.
She had expected to feel embarrassed, but the reality was the opposite. When she saw the purity in Xi Xiaoyan’s eyes, the restless energy in her body instantly calmed. It was the same focus and steadiness she used to feel whenever she stood before flashing cameras and reporters. In those moments, she could center herself within seconds, becoming still and composed.
“Sister Wu, do you know something?” Xi Xiaoyan asked. Her hand didn’t stop moving as she spoke, her pen gliding skillfully.
Meng Chuwu watched her brush her loose hair back with her left hand. Because she had her head lowered, strands of her long hair kept falling down, gently brushing against her skin. It was ticklish. Just as she was about to say something, Xi Xiaoyan lifted her head slightly and the hair moved away.
Forget it. If it tickles, let it tickle. She didn’t feel like bothering anymore.
“What is it?”
“Your chest is really beautiful,” Xi Xiaoyan said sincerely.
“Hey, how many have you even seen?” Meng Chuwu couldn’t help but tease her.
“I’ve actually seen quite a few.”
“What?!”
Xi Xiaoyan finished drawing on the right side and moved to the left. “Did you forget? I love figure drawing. Sketching the human body is one of the basics.”
“Oh, right.”
“How about I draw a full portrait of you one day?”
“A nude sketch?”
“Yes.”
Meng Chuwu wasn’t sure how to respond.
She was a little afraid she might fall too deep. Right now, more than romance, she wanted to live freely. She didn’t want to sign any strange contracts with Axi. That system, “Save the Cannon Fodder Alpha,” just the name alone made her feel annoyed. She didn’t consider herself a scumbag Alpha at all. So she didn’t want to sign anything.
But then again, just the thought of being separated from Xi Xiaoyan made her feel uneasy. She couldn’t help but glance at her. Her features were so lovely. Just looking at her quietly brought a strange sense of joy.
Get a grip. You’ve only been together for less than a day. Meng Chuwu warned herself.
“Sister Wu, does that mean you agree?”
Meng Chuwu realized that Xi Xiaoyan could be really persistent when it came to certain things.
She wanted to say yes but was also afraid things might get complicated.
After all, nothing was certain right now.
“Sister Wu?” Xi Xiaoyan’s voice was soft, but the way she spoke stirred something gentle deep inside Meng Chuwu’s heart.
“You can draw as many portraits as you want.” Meng Chuwu couldn’t bring herself to refuse. Her request was so delicate, her presence so charming. She didn’t want to see her disappointed.
“Sister Wu, you’re so kind to me.”
“It’s nothing.” Meng Chuwu felt Xi Xiaoyan was far too easy to please. “Yanyan, if… I mean if, one day you feel I’m not as good to you as you expected, would you blame me?”
“Then,” Xi Xiaoyan paused her hand, “why wouldn’t you just become the person I expect you to be? Didn’t you say…”
Meng Chuwu knew that the scumbag Alpha had probably said all sorts of sweet things to her before. And this innocent girl had clearly believed every word. “You know, people change. And people have limits. I’m afraid…”
“Then just don’t change,” Xi Xiaoyan whispered with a soft sigh. “If Sister Wu really tries her best, I won’t blame you.”
Meng Chuwu smiled faintly. Without even realizing it, she had been testing Xi Xiaoyan’s attitude toward the idea of divorce.
But judging from how things looked now, there was almost no chance that Xi Xiaoyan would ask for a divorce first. She clearly liked the scumbag Alpha deeply and without holding back.
“Are you done with the drawing?”
“Just a little bit left. What should I do? It still looks really big. If I make it smaller, the proportions won’t match. I don’t like distorted drawings, so…”
“It’s fine. Just say you were drawing a giant bee.”
“Sister Wu, you’re the best.”
Meng Chuwu reached out and gently touched Xi Xiaoyan’s long hair. The ends of her hair had brushed across her stomach, making her itch unbearably.
“Finish it up quickly.”
“By the way, Sister Wu, do you still remember what you said before the wedding?”
“We said a lot before the wedding, didn’t we?” Meng Chuwu realized that the information she had received about the scumbag Alpha wasn’t complete. Some things might have been forgotten, and she certainly wouldn’t know those.
“Ugh, I mean that one sentence.”
“Which one? Tell me.”
“You’re pretending not to remember, aren’t you?”
“I honestly don’t know what you’re referring to.”
“You said… that we would spend the first three days after marriage in bed.”
After she said it, Meng Chuwu noticed a slight blush on Xi Xiaoyan’s face. Even so, she looked straight at her without blinking.
The scumbag Alpha really had no shame. Who tells such bold things to an innocent girl? Three days in bed? That’s absurd.
“Aren’t we already in bed right now?” Meng Chuwu didn’t know why her face was getting hot. Was she really blushing along with Xi Xiaoyan?
“You’re still saying that?”
“What is it?” Meng Chuwu had a feeling this was going to be something inappropriate, judging by how hesitant Xi Xiaoyan looked.
Oh, sweet little sister. You really shouldn’t take everything the scumbag Alpha said seriously.
“You said right after we got married, you’d teach me every position you know.”
“What kind of knowledge?”
Did the scumbag Alpha have no limits at all? How could she say anything that crossed her mind?
Meng Chuwu pretended she misheard.
“Not knowledge. I meant positions.”
Xi Xiaoyan was a little confused. Why did Meng Chuwu seem so much calmer now than she was before they got married?
Back then, she had said she couldn’t wait even a minute. She wanted to get married immediately and start playing right away.
If it hadn’t been for her resistance, she might have been the one pregnant by now.
Sigh.
They were already married, yet now she was holding back so much. So even an Alpha’s heart was unpredictable?
She was so curious, but Meng Chuwu just kept leaving her hanging.
Xi Xiaoyan, could you stop being so stubborn for once?
These things weren’t meant to be said. They were meant to be done.
Fine. Meng Chuwu admitted it. As someone who had never dated before, she didn’t actually have many positions to teach her.
“Sister Wu, you’re so stingy. Didn’t you tell me you were familiar with at least a hundred moves? Don’t tell me you were bragging.”
Was Xi Xiaoyan fearless like a newborn calf?
You could say she didn’t know what she was talking about, but the look on her face clearly suggested she was referring to intimate matters between a couple.
But if you said she did know, then her attitude was strangely calm, as if she were talking about something as ordinary as eating or sleeping.
Meng Chuwu was completely defeated by her. Even more, she was defeated by the careless words of the scumbag Alpha, because of whom she now had to carry all of this.
“I don’t remember ever saying anything like that.”
With no evidence left, Meng Chuwu decided she was going to fully commit to pretending those inappropriate words had never been spoken.
“Really? Sister, you’re just pretending again. Hmph.”
It seemed she had finished drawing. Meng Chuwu noticed her putting the pen away.
She was probably feeling a little disappointed. After all, a promise had been broken. Anyone would feel let down.
It was clear that Xi Xiaoyan really wanted to try something. That was why she said so much.
Meng Chuwu understood her curiosity. Truthfully, she felt the same.
But no, not yet. Not until she was sure she wouldn’t fall into the same tragic path as the cannon-fodder character, she had no intention of touching Xi Xiaoyan.
“Back then, I was just bragging. It was wrong of me.”
“Really? So saying you could do it ten times a day was also just talk?”
Meng Chuwu broke into a cold sweat. This topic could not continue. She was not ready for this kind of conversation, and it was far too dangerous.
“Let me see the new bee you drew.” Meng Chuwu quickly sat up and looked down.
“Sister Wu, you’re trying to change the subject.”
Xi Xiaoyan felt that the passionate version of Meng Chuwu from last night was gone.
Had she hit her head when she was pinned against the wall?
In the heat of the moment, it was hard to control strength and timing. She might have been too rough.
Besides, wasn’t it Meng Chuwu who insisted on demonstrating what a wall-pin was and told her to go ahead and push her against the wall and kiss her?
Sigh. She really had no finesse at all.
“Even though it’s still a bit big, it looks pretty good. Haha.”
“Sister Wu, I heard the family doctor came by last night. Why was that?”
Xi Xiaoyan wanted to know the real reason. She knew they hadn’t bonded, and she needed to confirm whether something had gone wrong with Meng Chuwu. Did she actually hurt her?
Meng Chuwu froze. Was Xi Xiaoyan really forgetting everything from last night because of the fever, or was she testing her on purpose?
After barely surviving the early morning emotional battlefield, here came another unexpected and awkward moment.
“Don’t tell me you think…”
“Don’t jump to conclusions. The truth is, I just wasn’t in the right mood yesterday.”
“Is it because you hit your head?” Xi Xiaoyan interrupted anxiously.
Hit her head?
When did that happen?
Meng Chuwu had no memory of it.
But judging from Xi Xiaoyan’s panicked face, it must have looked pretty serious.
Strangely, she didn’t feel any pain or discomfort in her head at all.
“Nothing like that happened. I probably just drank a little too much from being happy, and by the end of the night I felt really weak. Then I saw your fever was serious, and I didn’t want to risk anything so…”
“Oh.”
Xi Xiaoyan didn’t look convinced. Her expression said, “Don’t lie to me.” Everyone drinks a little on their wedding night. And Meng Chuwu didn’t even seem drunk.
Meng Chuwu thought to herself that her explanation was flimsy. No wonder Xi Xiaoyan didn’t believe it. After all, she was the one who triggered Xi Xiaoyan’s mating heat, and then she was also the one who pulled away. Of course it sounded suspicious.
“Well, maybe I did hit my head just a little.”
“Let me take a look.” Xi Xiaoyan reached out to check the back of her head.
Meng Chuwu quickly dodged. “I’m fine now. It doesn’t hurt anymore.”
“This is all my fault. I didn’t even know how to do a proper wall-pin. I’m terrible.”
Ah, so it was when she was pinned to the wall last night. That must have been when she hit her head.
“You didn’t do anything wrong. Actually, you did great.”
That was the truth. Meng Chuwu thought Xi Xiaoyan kissed very well. Definitely better than her own clumsy experience as someone who had always been single.
“So… do you want to continue now?”
“Aren’t you even going to look at the bee you drew?”
“Forget it.”
Xi Xiaoyan could tell that Meng Chuwu’s heart wasn’t in it anymore, and her excitement faded along with her interest.
“Are you mad?”
“Sister Wu, you’ve changed.”
“No I haven’t.”
“You have. You’re not the same as before we got married.”
Of course she wasn’t. She wasn’t the scumbag Alpha.
Meng Chuwu felt utterly defeated. She couldn’t just keep quietly enjoying what belonged to someone else. Even if Xi Xiaoyan was technically her wife now, and even though she was genuinely starting to like her, everything still needed time.
Her head was aching. She didn’t know how to explain this strange situation to the girl in front of her who was clearly upset.
“I haven’t changed. I just…”
