- Chapter 10 - This Time I’ll Make You Satisfied
Lu Jianchuan was slightly stunned, and Chen Yao wasn’t doing any better.
Why was Li Ying here? Had he put a tracker on him?
“And you are?” Lu Jianchuan quickly pulled his hand back, looking over the blond, blue-eyed man in front of him, certain he’d never met him before.
“I’m his—” Before Li Ying could finish, Chen Yao hurriedly covered his mouth. With this guy, there was no telling what shameless thing he might blurt out.
Lu Jianchuan wasn’t a fool. He could tell the relationship between the two was unusual, and his brows furrowed in displeasure. Still, good upbringing kept him from saying anything rude. He quietly waited to see how Chen Yao would handle this intruder.
“My apologies. There are some things I need to discuss with him privately. Excuse me for a moment.” Chen Yao pulled Li Ying by the wrist and led him out of the café. The moment they stepped outside, a wave of heat hit them. Chen Yao tugged irritably at his collar.
Once they reached a spot with few people around, Chen Yao let go. But the next second, Li Ying seized his hand instead, gripping tightly.
Chen Yao had only just left the Chen family home—yet Li Ying had found him so quickly. There had to be a trick behind it.
“Li Ying, are you following me?”
“Baby, how can you be going on a blind date? As far as I recall, our relationship isn’t over yet.” Li Ying brushed aside the accusation, leaning close until their bodies almost touched.
This time, Chen Yao didn’t step back. He just sneered. “A one-night stand doesn’t count as a relationship.”
“Then what about two nights? Three nights?” Li Ying lowered his eyes and smiled, as if they were negotiating.
Few people passed by the alley, and the sweltering heat left Chen Yao a little dizzy. If not for the stubborn pride in his chest, he might have backed away already.
“Li Ying, I admit it was my fault for provoking you at the start. But haven’t I already paid the price for that?” He had been the one pinned beneath, the one forced to see doctors when his glands hurt.
Even if Li Ying had been displeased at first, hadn’t he already paid for it? What more reason was there for him to keep pestering?
“Baby, this game won’t end until I say it ends.” Li Ying lifted Chen Yao’s hand and pressed a kiss against the jut of his wrist bone.
Chen Yao couldn’t shake him off. Maybe it was the heat, but irritation prickled in his chest. He furrowed his brow and snapped, “Let go of me.”
“Promise me you’ll refuse him, and I’ll let you go,” Li Ying said, gaze unwavering.
“I can’t do that. This blind date was arranged by my family. If I refuse him outright, my father will suffer for it.” Chen Yao wanted to see just how far Li Ying was willing to go. Besides, he never intended to marry Lu Jianchuan in the first place.
The hacker last night had said Li Ying’s background wasn’t simple. Maybe he really did have a way to stop the engagement.
“I see, baby.” Li Ying brushed his lips against Chen Yao’s cheek, then pulled out his phone to text his assistant:
[Prepare a betrothal gift. The bigger the better.]
If Chen Yao was going to marry someone, the only candidate would be him.
Chen Yao had no idea what Li Ying was plotting. But since Lu Jianchuan was still waiting inside, it would be rude to leave without a word. He said, “I should at least go back to say goodbye.”
“Go ahead, baby. Later you’ll be leaving with me.” Li Ying, in an unusually generous mood, released him. His green eyes softened, the chill within melting away.
Chen Yao returned to the café. Lu Jianchuan was still waiting, so he sat back down across from him. “Something’s come up. I need to go. You should head back too.”
“Not interested in me?” Lu Jianchuan asked, displeasure clear in his tone.
Chen Yao gave no direct answer.
Even if Li Ying hadn’t barged in, he still wouldn’t have agreed to a match with Lu Jianchuan. He wasn’t his type, and Chen Yao had no desire to compromise with the Chen family this way.
“It’s not about that. I came today because of family pressure.” He could have put it more tactfully, but he didn’t see the point.
Lu Jianchuan stood. A faint smile curved his refined features. “Chen Yao, you’re rather cold, aren’t you?”
With that, he gathered his things and left the café.
Chen Yao tilted his head. Cold? Was he? Maybe not.
But that wasn’t important now. What mattered was the man waiting outside—the one who truly gave him a headache.
Sure enough, Li Ying stood at the door, a cigarette dangling unlit between his lips.
“Baby, let’s go.” He slung an arm around Chen Yao’s shoulders and steered him to the car, opening the passenger door for him.
“Li Ying, does your rule still hold—that one night together earns me one question answered?” Chen Yao asked as he fastened his seatbelt, seemingly out of nowhere.
He wanted to know more about Li Ying’s past. If he could grasp his weak spot, maybe he could finally break free.
“Of course. Always valid.” Li Ying’s lips curled into a smile.
Falling in love begins with curiosity. Right now, Chen Yao was still probing at the edges.
Li Ying glanced at the rearview mirror. Blond hair, blue eyes—so strikingly beautiful.
Just as Chen Yao had once said, there wasn’t a person alive who wouldn’t be captivated by that face. From childhood, Li Ying had paid dearly for it.
But at least Chen Yao liked it. Otherwise, he would have cursed this face as nothing but a curse.
“Li Ying, why did you approach me? What’s your real purpose?” Chen Yao asked. It was his promised question.
Li Ying said nothing. He just started the car and drove them to his villa.
As soon as they pulled into the courtyard, Li Ying unfastened his seatbelt, leaning over eagerly. He cupped the back of Chen Yao’s head and crushed their mouths together, biting at his lips before sucking deeply.
He forced Chen Yao’s lips open, his tongue plunging in, wrapping around his, greedy and untamed like a beast with no reason left.
Chen Yao hissed in pain, shoving at his shoulders, desperate for a breath. But Li Ying was like a traveler in the desert stumbling upon an oasis—utterly unwilling to let go.
Chen Yao’s face flushed red from lack of air. To wrest control, he gripped Li Ying’s throat, kneeling on the seat to press his weight forward.
But whatever experience he thought he had was useless against Li Ying. Within moments he was overpowered. If not for the near suffocation at the end, Li Ying wouldn’t have released him at all.
Li Ying’s thumb pressed down on his swollen lips, stroking the softness. The electric jolt shot down his spine, making his whole body tremble.
“Baby, this time I’ll make you satisfied.” Li Ying stopped the car, stepped out, and opened the passenger door. He scooped Chen Yao into his arms.
“Put me down. I can walk myself.” Chen Yao slapped at his shoulder. The way Li Ying carried him was unbearably humiliating, suffocating him with shame.
Li Ying set him down. They entered the house one after the other.
The villa was empty of servants—Li Ying didn’t like anyone else on his turf.
Chen Yao had wanted to take a look around, but Li Ying was too impatient, dragging him upstairs. Before they even reached the bedroom, he was kissing him again.
They stumbled into the room, lips still locked, until they reached the bed.
Chen Yao, wary that Li Ying might inject pheromones into his glands, covered his mouth with his hand. His eyes shimmered with moisture, lips reddened as though he’d been drinking.
“Your pheromones affect my glands. While we… do this, I want you to keep them completely suppressed. Otherwise, I won’t forgive you.”
Li Ying held onto his last shred of restraint, watching those lips move. He didn’t quite catch the words.
“I’ll agree to anything,” he said. Whatever Chen Yao had asked, that answer would do.
