- Episode 13 - Cecilia SIDE - "What’s Wrong with This Party?"
Damn it. Not just me—everyone else has realized the truth, too.
The truth that we’re basically men in this party.
Of course, I don’t mean that literally.
But the way we live… it’s practically masculine.
I’m the Saintess, a master healer. As my level increases, I’ll be able to heal just about anything.
But after the Demon Lord is defeated, what awaits me isn’t more battles—it’s a career as a high-ranking healer.
At that point, I won’t need comrades to fight alongside me.
I’ll need someone to support me.
And the perfect person for that role was Fudra.
What I wanted wasn’t a husband—it was a wife.
They called me the “gentle and feminine Saintess,” but I’ve recently realized that I’ve been living like a man.
In that case, I should take the initiative and become Fudra’s romantic partner.
Eventually, we’ll get married, and he’ll handle all my personal affairs and paperwork.
Yeah, that doesn’t sound bad at all.
If it comes down to it, I might even leave the Hero’s Party.
Sure, I want the rewards from defeating the Demon Lord, but if we lose, there won’t be any rewards anyway. Besides, this journey is becoming unbearably harsh.
Without Fudra, every day is just misery.
If that’s the case, maybe it’s better to quit now and start a happier life with him.
Damn it, I’m too late.
I should’ve become Fudra’s partner sooner.
Let’s face it—I’m the Sword Saint.
Swinging my sword is my entire identity.
The work I do is basically a man’s job.
After defeating the Demon Lord, my only options are to become a knight or an adventurer. Either way, I’ll still be fighting.
But I suck at household chores and maintaining weapons.
If Fudra were here, he’d handle all of that for me.
Fudra isn’t just a good choice—he’s the best choice.
Right now, I need to win him back, become his girlfriend, and eventually marry him.
That way, he can take care of everything while I focus on earning money through battles.
Also… if we’re physically compatible, it’ll be perfect. Fudra is in great shape, so I doubt there’ll be any issues in that department.
The others probably haven’t thought this far ahead.
If necessary, I’m ready to leave the Hero’s Party and spend my life with Fudra.
Next time I see him, I’ll apologize. Then… I’ll make sure we end up in a proper relationship.
Looking back, I think Fudra was like an older brother to me.
I didn’t realize it when he was around, but he was truly amazing.
An “older brother” who could do everything—cook, clean, and protect me.
Now that he’s gone, I understand just how special he was.
Why am I putting myself through this miserable life when I could be living peacefully with him?
Living with Fudra would be so much better than this.
“The Kind and Caring Older Brother Who Does Everything”
There’s no better partner than him.
Forget about the demon lord’s defeat; instead, I should focus on forming a proper romantic relationship with him and letting Fudra take care of me. That thought keeps coming back to my mind.
“Listen, I’m a sword saint, right? I think I’d be a perfect match for Fudra.”
“Well, in that case, I’m a saintess. A saintess and a warrior make the best combination, don’t you think?”
“What are you two even talking about? Fudra is like an older brother to me! Hands off, okay?”
“Come on, Izabel. You already said there’s no need for him to protect you anymore. That ‘older brother’ thing is long over.”
“Hold on… aren’t we forgetting something important?”
It suddenly hit me—none of us actually knows what Fudra is up to now.
The other two nodded at my suggestion, and we decided to head to the adventurer’s guild to find out.
At the guild, we approached the receptionist and asked about Fudra.
“He’s currently part of a party called ‘Idra,’ with a female adventurer named Aisha.”
So he’s teamed up with a woman.
“Could you tell us a bit more?”
“That’ll be three copper coins for the information.”
Quite the businesswoman, I thought, handing over the coins.
“Aisha is, well, a very alluring woman who’s often seen in a bikini-style armor. She posted a party recruitment ad with the condition of marriage—offering lifelong support in exchange for joining her party. Fudra responded to her ad, and they ended up getting married. Rumor has it they haven’t been taking many quests or doing much fighting. Instead, they’re supposedly living a rather… amorous life.”
“‘Amorous’… gulp.”
“It’s said she’s bought some very provocative lingerie, and every night… well, let’s just say, people claim they can hear some rather suggestive noises. But again, this is just gossip.”
Afterward, we found ourselves at a nearby café, discussing what we’d just learned.
“I see… yeah, I guess it makes sense.”
“Do you think Fudra… likes that kind of thing?”
“Well, if we’re serious about going after Fudra, we need to understand that living with him might mean embracing that kind of… lifestyle.”
From what we heard, his current partner is an older woman, almost twice our age. Surely, she can’t outshine us in terms of charm.
But the bigger concern is… how far we’re willing to go with this “amorous” part of his life.
As for me…
If it means I can return to that comfortable life we had, I think I can handle a bit of indulgence.
“Well, I’m willing to try,” Elza declared. “If getting ‘amorous’ is what it takes, then so be it.”
“I’ll use my charms as the sweet younger sister to win him over!” Izabel chimed in.
It seems I’m not the only one determined to win him back.
However, if we decide to pursue this, it means abandoning the quest to defeat the demon lord. That’s not a decision to make lightly.
For now, we left things undecided and agreed to revisit the matter later.
