Summary
The pampered darling of the Xia family, Xia Yining, is set to enter an arranged marriage, and the chosen groom is none other than her most ardent suitor, Jiang Yan. The crowd collectively mourns, unanimously agreeing that a flower has been stuck into a pile of dung.
Jiang Yan transmigrates into the body of a despised, good-for-nothing second-generation rich kid. Before she can reshape her tarnished image, she’s forced into a family-arranged marriage. Her bottom line is clear: she refuses to be a lovesick fool. No matter how breathtakingly beautiful or alluring her wife is, she remains unshaken.
On their wedding day, the Xia family looks down on Jiang Yan, and even the bride, Xia Yining, shares their disdain. Separate rooms and separate beds are a given. Jiang Yan doesn’t argue, only leaving with a smile: “One day, you’ll regret this.”
Xia Yining responds with unshakable confidence: “Rest assured, not even on the day the world ends will I regret it.”
After the marriage, Jiang Yan keeps to herself, never once entertaining thoughts of entering the marital bedroom or sharing a bed. She enjoys her own company, stays out of trouble, and abandons her former obsessive pursuit. It’s as if she doesn’t exist in the Xia household.
That is, until the Xia family faces a crisis and Xia Yining finds herself in a desperate situation. Only then does she realize there’s a steadfast pillar by her side, propping up her entire world.
The once-useless Jiang Yan gradually reveals her true colors: a humorous and healing comic artist, a brilliantly talented web novel writer, a culinary master capable of publishing cookbooks, and a secret billionaire with overflowing wealth…
Xia Yining originally chose Jiang Yan because she seemed easy to control and utterly incapable—an ideal choice to appease her family’s pressure to marry. Little did she expect that this very person would end up warming her entire world.
The world’s end never came, but Xia Yining willingly stepped into Jiang Yan’s room.
