After Being Targeted By A Sweet Girl With Big Eyes - Chapter 18
Chapter 18: Arousal
Jiang Ruyi grabbed Fu Tian’s hand and pulled her upstairs, shouting over her shoulder to the elders, “Fu Tian won’t be joining you for breakfast anymore. She’ll eat with me. Don’t worry about it!”
Fu Tian linked her fingers with Jiang Ruyi’s, intertwining them tightly, and murmured, “I never said I couldn’t get up. Don’t decide for me and let Grandma and Grandpa think I’m lazy, especially if they think I suggested it to you.”
Jiang Ruyi was nonchalant. “They don’t care about that. I know what you’re like. Last time at your place, didn’t we both sleep until noon? Besides, before you came, weren’t you texting me in the early hours of the morning? Let the little foreigner suffer the agony of getting up early all by himself.”
She told Fu Tian to go to her room first and then hurried upstairs to grab her equipment, still focused on the photo shoot. As a fellow woman, Jiang Ruyi genuinely thought Fu Tian’s makeup combined with the qipao was stunning and needed to be documented properly.
When she returned to Fu Tian’s room, she found her sitting on the edge of the bed, fixing her hair in the mirror. Hearing the movement, Fu Tian looked up and asked, “Am I still pretty?”
“You’ve always been pretty.”
“But not the kind of pretty you like,” Fu Tian gently brushed the ends of her hair, her tone hinting at a sense of loss.
“…What style do you want to shoot?” Jiang Ruyi deliberately changed the subject, pretending not to hear the last wistful sentence.
As they brushed past each other, Fu Tian suddenly turned and slammed herself against the door, locking it with a quiet “click.” The atmosphere in the room immediately became tense with that soft sound. Jiang Ruyi swallowed, and in a moment of heat blurted out, “Actually, no one would bother us even if we didn’t lock the door…”
Ahhh, what was she saying! She clearly hadn’t intended to hook up with her.
Fu Tian narrowed her eyes, giving her a cryptic look, and answered indirectly, “Respect the photographer’s unique style.”
“Then let’s not waste any more time. Let’s start.”
Jiang Ruyi first took a few standard shots, trying to integrate Fu Tian into the environment, but the pictures looked dull and uninspired. Fu Tian didn’t say anything while reviewing the photos, but Jiang Ruyi was mortified. How could the photos not capture even a fraction of her beauty?
“No, no, it must be the camera’s fault! You two just don’t match!” She gripped the camera and muttered, “This Canon of mine is too plain. I need something with richer colors; it can’t capture the feeling I want. Did you bring your equipment?”
Fu Tian had brought six suitcases this time, one of which was exclusively for photography gear. The moment she saw Jiang Ruyi’s house next to the Hulunbuir Grassland, she decided she would shoot grand, nature-themed pictures every day.
Jiang Ruyi was amazed by the spread of equipment. “That’s professional! I really brought a small axe to the master carpenter’s door…”
She always took photos on a whim, preferring instant captures and often just using her phone. She had never seen such a setup.
Fu Tian handed her a Fuji camera. Jiang Ruyi fiddled with it, looked through the lens, and her eyes lit up instantly. “Yes! Yes! This built-in smoothing filter feeling!”
Now shooting was easy. Jiang Ruyi became more and more satisfied, praising Fu Tian constantly and with such enthusiasm that Fu Tian felt a slight illusion.
She directed Fu Tian to pose and adjust her angles, eager to lock the full charm of the qipao into the lens. The dress was beautiful, and the makeup was the perfect finishing touch.
After shooting a few silhouettes by the window, Jiang Ruyi was still not satisfied. She pointed to the bed for Fu Tian to sit on, and then she went to turn off the bedroom light. Using the semi-dark light from the window, she stumbled to the bed, swung one leg over, and straddled Fu Tian. “Support yourself with your hands behind you. Tilt your head back. I’m going for a close-up shot.”
Before she could turn on her phone’s flashlight, a shiver ran down her back. Fu Tian leaned in close, her warm breath passing through the thin summer fabric onto Jiang Ruyi’s chest, and a hand firmly rested on her waist.
Jiang Ruyi was slightly annoyed. She sharply turned on her phone’s flashlight, the white beam shining directly into Fu Tian’s eyes. Fu Tian raised a hand to block the light, but her left hand remained stubbornly on Jiang Ruyi’s waist. Without the support of her other hand, her movement to dodge the light caused her and Jiang Ruyi to fall back onto the bed.
To protect her camera, Jiang Ruyi landed squarely on Fu Tian, making the other girl let out a muffled groan. Jiang Ruyi hastily scrambled up and slapped her on the side of the waist. “You are such a goofball! Now look what happened! You shot yourself in the foot just to grope me a little! You really are…”
She suddenly choked on her words. Her phone was face down on the bed, glowing faintly. Fu Tian forcefully pressed her hand down. Jiang Ruyi looked up and was met with Fu Tian’s playful smile, a look of reckless abandon, as if they were back to their antagonistic first meeting.
Fu Tian guided her hand to move over her own body. Jiang Ruyi could clearly feel her restrained trembling and the distinct line of her mermaid muscles.
Fu Tian had a great figure, with two mermaid lines flowing down her abdomen, and a slight curve in the middle that made her even more alluring.
“There. Now you can get me back. Does it feel good?”
Fu Tian’s voice was slightly husky. She blinked at Jiang Ruyi innocently. Jiang Ruyi, still lingering over her body, felt a burning sensation on her palms at those words. She threw off Fu Tian’s hand, grabbed her phone, and shone the light directly at her.
Her hair was slightly messy from rolling on the bed, and under the light, she looked like she was caught in the act of adultery.
Jiang Ruyi didn’t know why the word “adultery” popped into her head. They were both single; this was perfectly acceptable and legal. She coolly surveyed Fu Tian’s furrowed brow and slightly narrowed eyes. She bit her lip and moved the flashlight away. “Can we take photos properly now?”
“Okay, Officer Sister. I know I was wrong. I promise to cooperate nicely.”
Jiang Ruyi looked at Fu Tian through the camera lens. Her messy hair and her defiant smile made her look like a satisfied devil.
Playing innocent. She truly wanted to pinch her cheeks and wipe that smile off her face.
And then, that damned hand actually appeared in the frame.
Huh???
!!!
The next second, Fu Tian extended the tip of her tongue and lightly licked Jiang Ruyi’s fingertip, her eyes filled with an explicit invitation.
Jiang Ruyi inhaled deeply, threw the camera to the side, and grabbed Fu Tian’s arm, pressing her down. Chest against chest, a soft, yielding sensation came through. She undid the buttons at Fu Tian’s chest, her breath gently grazing the other girl’s neck. Fu Tian’s head involuntarily turned to the side but she didn’t push her away.
Then, Jiang Ruyi’s hand slid from her neck over the swell of her chest, down her abdomen, and finally gave a hard squeeze and a heavy smack on her firm backside. “There are many things women can do together. Are you sure you can accept all of them?”
Jiang Ruyi fully sat on Fu Tian’s pubic bone, her fingers lingering on the smooth thigh exposed by the qipao’s side slit.
Fu Tian bit her lip, her voice trembling with excitement. “I’ll take it happily.”
Jiang Ruyi’s movement suddenly paused. Fu Tian struggled and urged, “Let me kiss you.”
Jiang Ruyi buried her face in Fu Tian’s chest. In the dim room, Fu Tian felt the head on her chest lightly rub twice, and then heard Jiang Ruyi’s faint voice in her ear, “Fu Tian, have you ever thought that if your ‘honey trap’ succeeds today, given my family’s wealth and my looks, many more people will try to seduce me in the future, and they might also succeed? What will you do then?”
Fu Tian was silent for a moment, then raised a hand and gently stroked Jiang Ruyi’s back. “You won’t. As far as I know, although you’re not good at maintaining long-term relationships, you have your standards and your aesthetic. You have demands for yourself, and you have bottom lines. You are different from those people.”
Jiang Ruyi sat up straight, her nose brushing Fu Tian’s neck, and let out a low laugh. “You even investigated me? You’re good.”
Seeing she wasn’t angry, Fu Tian quickly declared her loyalty. “I just wanted to understand you better… I’m your fan.”
“Really? Then we definitely can’t be together. Wouldn’t that be me sleeping with a fan? If we break up, wouldn’t you go online and absolutely trash me?”
“I willingly seduced you. No, we are in love mutually,” Fu Tian’s voice was incredibly serious. She had actually been part of Jiang Ruyi’s anti-fan team. Her genuine feelings started the moment she heard her kiss.
Turns out she was a kissing-fan?
“So you like me based on my looks, then? You have good taste. Why didn’t you get to know me when our groups were feuding? I love that feeling of a clandestine affair. What a shame,” Jiang Ruyi teased, pinching her cheek.
“What if I change?” Jiang Ruyi suddenly became serious. “I’ve stopped pursuing a fixed aesthetic—my persistent standards for a girlfriend failed with you, and I was still seduced. What if I stop wanting to maintain a stable relationship? What if I told you I just want a friends-with-benefits relationship? When we have needs, we just find each other. That’s great, right? It doesn’t ruin the image we have of each other, and neither of us has to change much for the other. What do you think?”
After speaking, her heart hammered rapidly. She was equally afraid that Fu Tian would readily agree or that she would erupt in anger, flip her over, and storm out. She unconsciously tightened her legs around Fu Tian, at least to keep the fall from being too embarrassing. She had her pride.
The room was silent for a long time. Fu Tian didn’t speak.
The intense, ambiguous atmosphere suddenly quieted down. The warmth of their intertwined bodies was comforting. The rain outside hadn’t stopped. Beneath this natural white noise, Jiang Ruyi gently lowered her highly suspended heart back into her chest. She hazily observed Fu Tian’s long eyelashes and the steady rise and fall of her chest.
Fu Tian finally spoke, her voice carrying a three parts of sorrow, three parts of coldness, and three parts of an emotion Jiang Ruyi couldn’t decipher. “Jiang Ruyi, do you actually still hate me?”
“How could I? Am I the kind of person who throws herself to the wolves?” Jiang Ruyi grew anxious, gripping her shoulder tightly. “I wouldn’t touch someone I hate! Even a brush would feel unlucky!”
A searing hot tear landed on Jiang Ruyi’s arm. Startled, she tightened her grip. Fu Tian let out a muffled groan of pain.
“Then why would you say such cruel things to me?”
Jiang Ruyi’s mind instantly cleared. She thought the girl had fallen asleep, but she had been quietly shedding tears. She pushed herself up, her hair sweeping Fu Tian’s body as she rose, but Fu Tian grabbed her, asking fiercely through her sobs, “Are you trying to run away?”
“N-No, I’m going to get you tissues,” she stammered in explanation.
“Don’t turn on the light! Don’t leave! Just lie on top of me!”
“O-Okay. Okay.”
What a strange request.
But right now, if Fu Tian asked for the stars in the sky, she would climb up and pluck them down. Jiang Ruyi obediently lay back down on Fu Tian, hugging her like a sloth.
The rain pattered outside. Inside, only their intertwined breaths remained, ambiguous yet lost.
