After Cat A Saved the Wrong Female Lead - Chapter 27
Chapter 27: Collar
…She had never once connected all those schemes and manipulations to her “friend,” not even bothering to ask a single question.
Qin Shiyang didn’t plan to break that trust.
“Go film properly,” her voice was light, like she was stating something inconsequential. “Remember to bring your phone. Don’t turn it off. No matter how busy you are, I need to be able to reach you.”
By the end, her tone dipped slightly—like a gentle lake being stirred by an undercurrent.
Tang Li nodded obediently. “Mm, I’ll report my schedule!”
She felt a bit happy inside, like a little animal who’d been granted permission—her tail practically wagging.

When the lights went out, only the soft sound of breathing and the warmth between their bodies remained.
Tang Li, as always, wrapped her arms around Qin Shiyang’s waist, her face tucked under the other’s collarbone. She rubbed her nose against her skin and mumbled with determination:
“I’ll earn lots and lots of money… and spend it all on you.”
“Mm.” Qin Shiyang replied softly in the dark, not loud—but it felt like it landed in the softest part of her heart.
She didn’t make any dramatic promises or emotional declarations. She simply held Tang Li’s hand tighter, burying that steady, flowing affection into every breath.
That night, there were no dreams.
But somehow, it felt like they had both dreamed of each other.
