- After Clinging to a Big Shot, the Pitiful Omega Got Pregnant
- Chapter 25 - The Game Begins
Jiao Mubai spent a whole day collecting information on that Omega who lived in Fu Yuan’s household. Looking at the skinny, scrawny kid in the middle school graduation photo, he really couldn’t understand why Fu Yuan would fancy such a… little thing.
But judging from the bone structure, he was a beauty in the making. Maybe after a few years of raising and polishing, he’d become good-looking?!
Although just the thought of Fu Yuan’s Omega made his bl00d surge with jealousy, once he calmed down, he knew it wasn’t worth offending the head of the Fu Corporation over such a little thing.
He had seen too many young, pretty Omegas on board ships. Even if this one had indeed grown prettier, compared to those carefully bred and raised Omegas, someone who crawled out of the mud was bound to be lacking.
After a moment’s thought, he dismissed the idea of tasting this Omega before returning him.
But by now, it was already too late—most of the Omegas had already entered the event venue. He could only send Ji Xia’s photo into the Alpha group chat.
Jiao Mubai: “Gentlemen, please do me a favor. If you run into this little Omega tonight, I ask that you let him go and inform me right away.”
Wei Mo: “Jiao, are you setting your sights on someone before the event even starts?! But since you’ve spoken, of course we’ll give you this face.”
Wang Anxing: “Doesn’t look like much. Not my type. But for you, Jiao, I’ll oblige.”
Xu Guo: “Rest assured. If he’s yours, we won’t touch.”
……
Zhao Kuo stared at the photo in the group chat, squinting for a long while before finally recognizing Ji Xia.
Back in middle school, Ji Xia had sunken cheeks, was dry and skinny, looking plain and rustic. Compared to the dazzling Omega he had seen twice at banquets, it was like night and day.
He gritted his teeth in frustration. If only he had known earlier that Ji Xia would grow into someone this captivating, he would have snatched him up and raised him himself, avoiding this confrontation with Fu Yuan altogether.
But even if he was late, it wasn’t too late.
Ji Xia would be in tonight’s event. As long as he found him first, he could take him into one of the ship’s provided rooms.
He had paid a hefty price to participate. Spending a spring night with a voluntarily participating Omega was well within the rules. Even if Fu Yuan wanted to settle accounts afterward, he wouldn’t have much ground to make things difficult.
Besides, from what Zhao Kuo knew of Fu Yuan—if Ji Xia was touched by another Alpha, Fu Yuan would never want him again. And then Zhao Kuo could take him away without worry.
At this thought, Zhao Kuo looked at the custom-tailored suit just delivered by his servant. His excitement surged, making his bandit-like arrogance all the more blatant.
Ji Xia, he was determined to have him!
Jiao Mubai, completely unaware of Zhao Kuo’s twisted schemes, felt relieved when he saw the replies from the other tycoons in the group. He even sent Fu Yuan a message, assuring him that Ji Xia would be returned intact tonight, and that there was nothing to worry about.
After sending the message, he stood up and went into the dressing room to change into formal wear.
Tonight, he intended to pick out several Omegas to indulge himself with.
On the Royal Mona Lisa cruise ship, many events were hosted, but the most famous one was the Hunting Game on the fourth floor. What made this game interesting was that the Omegas hunted the Alphas.
Since there were far more Omegas, it usually turned into several Omegas competing over a single Alpha. To win the Alpha, Omegas had to fight among themselves. What the Alphas enjoyed was the thrill of being pursued and the feeling of merely lifting a finger to have Omegas flocking toward them.
Of course, sometimes several Alphas might fancy the same Omega.
But elite Alphas had seen Omegas as numerous as the stars. In a place like this, it was rare for them to actually fight over one.
Since the game’s inception, such a scene had never happened.
Even if two Alphas did fancy the same Omega, reason would prevail. Competing openly would be beneath their dignity—especially in such a setting.
Thus, top Alphas snatching a single Omega simply did not happen here.
Each hunting game had a different theme, and the fourth floor was redecorated accordingly.
This time, the theme was The Elven Forest. A fortune had been spent transplanting trees, flowers, and shrubs to recreate the woodland scene. Fireflies, butterflies, and birds were also released, adding to the realism.
Over five hundred Omegas, dressed as elves, were hidden among the trees, each using their wiles to ensnare an Alpha. If they succeeded in their hunt, they would receive the reward of their dreams.
Jian Qinghe had already pulled strings long before Fu Su boarded, so Fu Su didn’t have to squeeze into the elevators with the other Omegas.
He was the first to reach the seventh floor, where he changed into a custom-tailored elven gown that had cost a fortune, paired with jewels worth millions.
Fu Su was naturally beautiful, with an outstanding bearing. A little adornment already made him stunning, but this level of painstaking grooming made him breathtaking. Walking through the dim forest in a pale green floor-length gown, his skin looked even fairer, and his every movement exuded noble elegance—like a cold, aloof elven prince.
Along the way, he had already drawn the attention of several Alphas who began trailing behind him.
But since he showed no sign of warmth, the Alphas also didn’t act possessive. A delicate balance was kept as they moved slowly forward together.
Other Omegas, seeing Fu Su, wisely turned aside to avoid competing with him. Only one or two stubborn ones stayed, hoping to catch the Alphas’ attention.
Zhang Yi was one of them. He had clearly attracted President Wei’s attention just moments before, but this suddenly-appearing Omega had stolen the limelight. He was furious, but this was a place where everyone relied on their own skills. Outmatched, all he could do was tag along, waiting for a chance.
Fu Su ignored the Alphas completely. After walking for a while, he finally arrived at the most beautiful spot on the fourth floor—the rose garden.
The place resembled a European ruin. Ivy and vines twisted over broken arches, roses bloomed in wild abundance, creating a dazzling and melancholy beauty.
He stepped forward, plucked a blooming rose, and brought it to his nose to smell. His timing was perfect—just then, Jiao Mubai entered from another path.
The Alpha, who had been holding two coquettish “elves” in his arms, looked up and froze. In that instant, his eyes lit up. Just one glance, and he was captivated by this regal, gorgeous “elf.”
Fu Su paused briefly before turning his face toward him, meeting his gaze. After a moment, he curved his lips in a faint smile. It was slight, just a small upward turn, but the signal was unmistakable.
This Omega was interested in this Alpha.
Zhao Kuo, walking behind, rolled his eyes at Fu Su’s theatrics and turned away. He had already fulfilled his agreement with Fu Su—now it was time to find his Omega.
The two Omegas trying to trail after him froze under his glare and gave up.
They were perfectly his type—otherwise he wouldn’t have looked twice—but until he had Ji Xia in hand, nothing else mattered.
Jiao Mubai released the Omegas at his side and strode over to Fu Su.
With a rakish grin, he said, “Beautiful one, might I have the honor of receiving that rose?”
Fu Su looked down at the flower in his hand, his expression cool and reserved. “My roses are only for the one who takes me away from here.”
The nearby Omegas frowned at that.
It wasn’t unusual for an Alpha to leave with four or five Omegas at once. But for this one Omega to demand exclusivity—wasn’t that a bit too greedy?
They expected Fu Su to be slapped in the face, but instead Jiao Mubai, without a second’s hesitation, answered solemnly: “Of course. If you wish it, tonight I’ll take only you.”
Fu Su had intended to play a little longer, but fearing accidents if he delayed, he only hesitated briefly before extending the rose.
Jiao Mubai took it.
He hadn’t expected to finish the game in only twenty minutes. He had actually liked the two earlier ones, but if he could have a beauty like this all to himself tonight, it was worth it.
He slid an arm around the Omega’s waist, then swept him up into his arms and headed toward the exit.
Wen He bit back his frustration so hard it nearly made him collapse—watching the prize slip through his fingers like that.
Zhang Yi, somehow sidling up beside him, nudged him with his elbow and said, “Don’t sulk. The next one will be even more obedient.”
Wen He shot him a glare and stalked off.
The others also dispersed. Zhang Yi, realizing President Wei’s interest had shifted, went down another path in search of a new target.
The fourth floor was vast. Jiao Mubai carried Fu Su along as they exchanged playful banter. The seemingly cold Omega turned out to be surprisingly uninhibited, which only fueled his excitement further. The air between them grew hotter and hotter.
After walking for who knew how long, just as they neared the edge of the forest, a bush in front of them suddenly rustled. Two Alphas, eyes alight with excitement, pushed through as though in pursuit of something. They barely glanced at the pair before hurrying down another path.
That kind of feverish eagerness was rare among these seasoned elite Alphas.
Jiao Mubai’s curiosity was piqued. He paused, turned his foot, and was about to follow.
Fu Su hooked an arm around his neck, speaking in a faintly coquettish tone, displeased: “Jiao, where are we going?”
He rubbed his nose against Fu Su’s to soothe him and said, “Just detouring to watch some fun, beauty. Don’t worry—tonight, I swear it’ll only be you.”
Fu Su certainly had no interest in watching some commotion. All he wanted was to leave quickly and turn plans into reality. He had already taken the drug beforehand. As long as they were intimate tonight, he was confident he would conceive immediately.
But he couldn’t stop the Alpha if he insisted.
On second thought, it was only a minor delay. He was sure that in all the fourth floor, no Omega could be more alluring than him.
With that reassurance, he settled against the Alpha’s shoulder, indulging in fantasies of his bright future: carrying a child, marrying into the Jiao family, and helping his father seize control of the Fu household.
He would become the most envied Omega of all.
