- After Clinging to a Big Shot, the Pitiful Omega Got Pregnant
- Chapter 32 - Bed Partner Contract
Ji Xia had a nightmare. He was entangled by a giant black shadow and couldn’t break free no matter how much he struggled. He was exhausted and on the verge of being swallowed whole by the shadow.
Just then, a large, well-defined hand grabbed him, pulling him out of the darkness. The Alpha pulled him close into his arms, and then he was kissed.
Ji Xia’s face flushed, and he woke up from the dream.
His pupils hadn’t focused yet. He stared blankly at the ceiling for a while, and hearing a sound next to him, he turned his head slightly and met a pair of deep, dark eyes.
He looked coldly at Fu Yuan, then at the ceiling, and then back at Fu Yuan. Then, as if remembering something, his expression changed, and a flash of panic and unease crossed his cat-like eyes.
He slowly moved his gaze away from Fu Yuan, and when they were no longer making eye contact, he decisively closed his eyes and played dead, pretending he hadn’t woken up.
A perfectly good week long cruise trip was ruined.
Mr. Fu must think he’s a troublesome pest.
“How are you feeling?”
Fu Yuan touched his forehead and asked.
Ji Xia pursed his lips. He wanted to pretend to still be asleep, but he didn’t have the courage not to answer Mr. Fu. So, he chose to answer with his eyes closed. “Very well.”
Fu Yuan’s hand withdrew. “Get up and eat something.”
In Ji Xia’s understanding, if he made someone angry, he would definitely not be fed. But now Mr. Fu was telling him to eat, which clearly meant he wasn’t angry.
Ji Xia slowly opened his eyes, clutching the bed sheet with both hands, and apologized in a tiny voice, “Mr. Fu, I’m sorry.”
Fu Yuan opened the thermos container on the bedside table, and the scent of congee immediately spread through the room.
He asked, “What did you do wrong?”
Ji Xia: “I shouldn’t have gotten a fever.”
Fu Yuan poured half a bowl of congee and handed it to him, saying coolly, “Finish eating, then think again.”
Ji Xia took the bowl, slowly sipping the congee, occasionally sneaking a glance at Mr. Fu, only to shrink back from the cold expression on Mr. Fu’s face.
After finishing the small half bowl of congee, Ji Xia still couldn’t figure out what else he had done wrong.
Fu Yuan asked, “Want a little more?”
Ji Xia shook his head. “No, thank you.”
Fu Yuan took the bowl and set it aside. “Now continue, what did you do wrong?”
Ji Xia lowered his head, fingers gripping the bed sheet, and said, “I shouldn’t have disobeyed you by not drinking the cold medicine to prevent it.”
Fu Yuan didn’t speak.
The meaning was clear: Incorrect.
Ji Xia recalled everything that had happened, stammering, “I got a fever, and I shouldn’t have tried to hide it from you.”
Fu Yuan: “Mmm, and what else?”
Ji Xia’s voice grew smaller as he stated his most serious offense. “I shouldn’t have caused you trouble and ruined your fun.”
Fu Yuan leaned against the back of the chair, his posture somewhat relaxed, and said, “Not a bother, and nothing was ruined. Continue.”
Ji Xia froze, his large eyes wide as he looked at Fu Yuan.
Every time he got sick, Ji Chengguo would loudly yell at him, calling him a burden and a troublesome pest. Although Zheng Qiufang didn’t say anything, her attitude would also become distant.
He moved his lips, cautiously asking, “Mr. Fu, you…you really don’t think I’m very troublesome?”
Fu Yuan said, “No. But you still haven’t recognized your mistake.”
Ji Xia’s eyes instantly turned red at those words, misting over, and he pursed his lips tightly to keep the tears from falling.
Fu Yuan watched his reddened eyes for a moment, then softened his voice, saying, “I’m not trying to scold you, I just want you to realize that taking medicine haphazardly is a very serious mistake. If you get sick in the future, you must tell me, or find Chen Xi. Only under a doctor’s guidance can you…”
His voice trailed off because the person sitting on the hospital bed started crying.
Ji Xia didn’t want to cry, but the tears fell on their own, and they fell harder and harder.
Just then, Chen Xi, who had rushed over upon hearing the news, walked in and witnessed the scene.
He saw the pale faced little Omega shedding “golden beans” on the hospital bed, while his boss sitting beside him looked somewhat at a loss. The scene didn’t look harmonious, but the atmosphere wasn’t bad; it was like a quarrel between a young couple, and his boss was clearly at a disadvantage.
This was certainly not a situation for him to intervene in.
Chen Xi turned to leave, but it was too late; his eyes met Fu Yuan’s. Fu Yuan called out to him.
Chen Xi had no choice but to transform into his boss’s caring sidekick, helping the aloof boss comfort his pretty young lover. After some effort, the Omega finally stopped crying.
Ji Xia’s ears turned red in embarrassment, and he didn’t dare look at Mr. Fu.
The hospital room suddenly fell into a brief silence, the atmosphere slightly stiff.
Chen Xi was the first to break the silence, asking Fu Yuan, “Have things been settled?”
Fu Yuan: “Haven’t brought it up yet.”
Chen Xi: ???
Haven’t brought it up, then how did you make him cry?!
Fu Yuan said, “He just woke up.”
Chen Xi discreetly stood up, saying, “I’ll go check in with the attending physician about his condition; I’ll be right back.” With that, he quickly slipped away.
Ji Xia understood that Mr. Fu seemed to want to discuss something with him. His heart was uneasy; even though Mr. Fu didn’t find him troublesome, it was a fact that he had caused Mr. Fu trouble.
He held his breath, intently watching Mr. Fu, waiting for him to speak.
Fu Yuan clenched his hand into a fist and lightly coughed with it against his lips, saying, “Ji Xia, I want to ask you for a favor. Of course, the favor won’t be free. You can have anything you want, as long as I can provide it.”
Ji Xia was relieved to hear it was a request for help, and asked, “Mr. Fu, what do you need help with?”
Fu Yuan: “I’ve always had an information pheromone disorder, which I’ve been suppressing with medication. Because you mistakenly took the medicine, we discovered that it had been tampered with.”
Ji Xia’s eyes lit up; he had inadvertently helped Mr. Fu.
Fu Yuan sternly said, “Although I am grateful to you, I do not want such a thing to happen again. It’s too dangerous.”
Ji Xia pursed his lips, his eyelashes drooping listlessly.
Fu Yuan continued, “The doctor suggested I stop using medication. So, I now need an Omega with a high pheromone match to help me treat my information pheromone disorder. You are very suitable in all aspects.”
Ji Xia immediately replied, “I’m willing to help.”
Fu Yuan’s voice deepened, his expression solemn, saying, “Listen clearly to my requirements first. I won’t get married, and I won’t have children.”
Mr. Fu had already said this on the cruise, he knew, but he didn’t understand why Mr. Fu was emphasizing it again.
But Ji Xia still nodded and said, “Okay.”
Fu Yuan made it even clearer. “I not only need your pheromones, I also need you to accompany me through my periods of rut. That is to say, we will have sexual relations.”
A look of surprise appeared on Ji Xia’s face, his earlobes and cheeks instantly flushed red, and his eyelashes fluttered with shy embarrassment.
Fu Yuan looked at him and continued, “Our relationship will only be a bed partner relationship; I will not marry you.”
Ji Xia’s heart was sharply gripped; it hurt a little.
He didn’t understand why it hurt. He had nothing, and even an ordinary Alpha wouldn’t be willing to marry him; Mr. Fu certainly wouldn’t. Moreover, he was bought back by Mr. Fu.
But, his chest felt heavy and uncomfortable.
Fu Yuan’s voice deepened further, his expression becoming even more solemn, and he continued, “I will take safety precautions, and I hope you won’t harbor any unwarranted thoughts. Children are my red line. Even if you use means and accidentally become pregnant, it will be impossible to carry the child to term. I hope you remember this point.”
Ji Xia wanted to say that he wouldn’t harbor any ulterior motives, but when he opened his mouth, he found he couldn’t speak, so he could only nod.
Fu Yuan let out an almost inaudible sigh, his voice softening a little, saying, “I will sign an agreement with you, guaranteeing that after the treatment is complete, you will receive the compensation you desire. The lawyer will be here shortly. Tell him whatever you want.”
Ji Xia nodded.
Fu Yuan said, “You can start thinking now about what you want.”
Ji Xia was silent for a while, then said, “Okay.”
Silence fell over the hospital room again.
Ten minutes later, there was a knock on the door, and the lawyer, dressed in a suit, walked in with his briefcase. After greeting Fu Yuan, he handed the prepared documents to Ji Xia.
Ji Xia flipped through the pages. The dense text made his head ache, but he insisted on reading it.
It wasn’t that he was afraid of any loopholes in the contract. Mr. Fu had spent 500,000 to buy him, so anything he asked him to do was a matter of course; there was no need for such trouble as signing a contract.
He was just afraid that Mr. Fu would think he was too perfunctory.
He flipped to the last page and read the two bolded lines several times: Will not marry Party B, nor will he have children. He deeply imprinted them in his mind.
Figuring the time was right, Ji Xia asked, “Am I supposed to sign now?”
The lawyer said, “The contract is not yet complete; your compensation has not been added. Mr. Fu’s intention is that you can freely propose any compensation you want. As long as Mr. Fu can provide it, all of your requests will be met.”
Ji Xia remained silent, seemingly deep in thought.
The lawyer was prepared for the Omega to demand an exorbitant amount mansions, luxury cars, jewelry, and shares. The thought of it made him jealous and resentful. This Omega was incredibly lucky to have caught Mr. Fu’s eye.
Ji Xia bit his lower lip and spoke, “I hope that after I help Mr. Fu finish the treatment, Mr. Fu will allow me to leave. And for the 500,000 I owe, I hope I can repay it in installments without interest.”
The lawyer was stunned for a moment, thinking this Omega must be an idiot.
He kindly reminded him, “Mr. Ji, you can ask Mr. Fu for any compensation money, shares, a house, a car.”
But, even without compensation, he would still be willing to help Mr. Fu. Mr. Fu had saved him so many times; he was just repaying Mr. Fu once.
Moreover, if he accepted money, it would be like selling himself.
He hated Ji Chengguo and Zheng Qiufang for selling him. He would not sell himself.
Ji Xia said, “What I just said is the compensation I want.”
“Warning, warning! Fu Great Master’s favorability -20. Please, Host, change your strategy.”
Ji Xia hadn’t heard the system’s prompt for a long time and froze, subconsciously looking toward Fu Yuan. He happened to meet Fu Yuan’s dark, gloomy eyes. For a moment, Ji Xia had the feeling of being stared at by a large wild beast dangerous and terrifying.
The lawyer tentatively called out, “Mr. Fu.”
Fu Yuan stood up, his gaze still fixed on Ji Xia, and said coldly, “Write down what he said.”
With that, he turned and left without looking back.
Ji Xia felt that the system must have fixed its glitch, because Mr. Fu’s emotion was very clear this time: he was angry. He thought for a while; the only thing Mr. Fu might be angry about was probably him saying “no interest.”
But, it would already take him a long time to repay 500,000.
He could only let Mr. Fu take a little loss.
