- After Clinging to a Big Shot, the Pitiful Omega Got Pregnant
- Chapter 39 - Overly Enthusiastic
When Ji Xia woke up the next day, it was already time for lunch. There was only him left in the bedroom.
He thought of last night and his face felt hot. Mr. Fu had been at it for too long, and he wasn’t experienced. It wasn’t until very late last night that Mr. Fu finally let him go. This made Ji Xia understand Dr. Chen’s words even more deeply: the treatment truly was a matter of rolling into bed at any moment.
Ji Xia got up to wash, and after checking himself in the mirror, there was only a slight red mark on his neck, no other obvious signs, which made him sigh in relief.
However, underneath his clothes were hickeys and finger marks. Ji Xia’s skin was too delicate; the slightest force left a mark. The broken skin on his inner thighs was almost healed, but this time it was his chest that was chafed.
Ji Xia was so embarrassed that he had to put on two band-aids to keep his clothes from rubbing and hurting too much.
When he came out of the bathroom, Mr. Fu had returned at some point and was sitting on the sofa in the room.
Mr. Fu’s face was cold, his eyes holding a reserved detachment that kept people at a distance, making him completely different from the Alpha who had been clinging to him and doing this and that in bed last night.
He called out, “Mr. Fu.”
Fu Yuan put away his phone, stood up, and extended his hand to him, saying, “Come here, I’ll take you to lunch.”
Ji Xia obediently extended his hand and was led to the dining room.
When they entered, the dining table was already full of people, even Fu Xuan and Jiang Yi Shao had arrived. Jiang Yi Shao even winked at Ji Xia.
Once everyone was seated, Fu Xuan announced that lunch was served.
Ji Xia noticed that Fu Fengyu and Fu Su had not attended, and Jian Qinghe’s gaze was not as gentle as it had been at their first meeting, carrying a hint of coldness.
The attitude of the other Fu family members towards him, however, had undergone a complete 360-degree change, becoming exceedingly attentive. If his eyes accidentally swept over someone, that person would certainly return it with a warm smile.
Ji Xia:………………
“Xia Xia, try this, it’s the chef’s specialty.”
Ji Xia was seated next to Jiang Yi Shao, who put a piece of crispy duck in his bowl with chopsticks. “You must be starving. Next time, you can’t sleep in so late.”
“Thank you, Little Grandfather. I know.”
Aside from Ji Xia and Jiang Yi Shao occasionally exchanging a few words, the whole dining table was eerily quiet. Everyone at the table was preoccupied with their own thoughts, observing the every move of the four people at the table. They finished the meal just like that.
Fu Yuan put down his chopsticks, his face a little dark. The joy of feeding his little Omega had been completely stolen, but he couldn’t flare up and could only endure it.
During the usual after-meal leisure time, Alphas gathered in the tearoom to discuss business matters, while Omegas started a few tables of mahjong or played cards and chatted in the card room.
Even though Mr. Fu wasn’t there, having Little Grandfather present kept Ji Xia from feeling too flustered, and almost everyone was very polite to him.
He sat next to Little Grandfather on a low couch, listening to them talk. However, about an hour later, Jiang Yi Shao was truly bored and went upstairs to take a nap.
Before going upstairs, Jiang Yi Shao held Ji Xia’s hand and deliberately raised his voice, saying, “Xia Xia, Little Grandfather is so sleepy, I’m going to sleep for a bit. Later, if anyone bullies you, you tell them off. Don’t be afraid. Even if the sky falls, your Mr. Fu and your Little Grandfather will hold it up.”
Ji Xia nodded.
As soon as Jiang Yi Shao left, the branch-family uncles and aunts, who had been relatively well-behaved at first, started making small moves, putting on a show of darting glances.
Finally, an aunt with a perm, an excellent figure, and wearing a plain-colored qipao was pushed out by popular consensus.
She held a handkerchief to her nose and coughed lightly. She sat gracefully beside Ji Xia, exchanged some polite, irrelevant words, and then moved on to the main topic.
Her face was beaming as she said, “Xia Xia, your skin is so good, so tender you could pinch water from it. I’m so envious of you young people, you’re healthy and it’s the perfect time to have children.”
Ji Xia just listened and rarely spoke.
He didn’t know how to respond to this, so he just nodded.
The sound of shuffling mahjong tiles from the table became slightly softer, and everyone in the room pricked up their ears, paying attention to the conversation. Jian Qinghe sat at the table closest to Ji Xia, also listening carefully.
The aunt chuckled, unconcerned by the awkward situation where the conversation had reached a dead end, and continued enthusiastically, “Xia Xia, how is it? You’ve been with Ah Yuan for so long, is there any movement in your belly?”
Ji Xia saw several pairs of eyes looking towards his stomach. He looked down too, and asked, confused, “What movement?”
Could someone who could stay by Fu Yuan’s side be a simple character? Of course not.
So everyone present believed that Ji Xia’s current pure and innocent look was an act—playing the pig to eat the tiger.
The aunt sneered inwardly. Still pretending to be ignorant with them.
The great commotion last night didn’t stop until the early morning, and he could even skip the Fu family’s rule of having to wake up early to eat together. The reason the elderly couple indulged him so much was self-evident.
She didn’t beat around the bush and said directly, “What else could be the movement but a baby? Everyone is hoping you’ll add a new member to the Fu family.”
Ji Xia’s ears turned red.
He shook his head and immediately explained, “No baby. Mr. Fu doesn’t want a baby.”
Everyone’s hand movements paused simultaneously, as if time had suddenly stopped for a second before starting to flow again.
Jian Qinghe carefully observed Ji Xia’s completely guileless expression and thought to himself, this country Omega is either an idiot or extremely cunning.
He was more inclined to believe the latter, because the former wouldn’t have a chance to stay by Fu Yuan’s side.
From the country little O’s answer, it could be inferred that Fu Yuan had not yet fallen in love with him enough to change for him. The country little O’s statement was setting a clear boundary, suggesting he likely had no intention of making a rash move anytime soon, which was very smart.
Given the two elders’ indulgent attitude towards him, taking things slowly was indeed the best strategy.
Thinking of this, he remembered Fu Su, and his expression darkened slightly. He truly hadn’t expected Jiang Yi Shao to intervene, especially since this ancestor usually didn’t concern himself with family affairs.
Leaving aside the depth of the Jiang family’s background in the military, just considering how much the old man Fu indulged this ancestor, if this little O truly gained his favor, if he dared to touch him again, the old man Fu probably wouldn’t support him anymore.
Jian Qinghe bit his back teeth, unwilling to accept it.
His plan was clearly about to succeed; the toxins in the medicine were slowly destroying Fu Yuan’s gland, and Su Su was already pregnant with Jiao Muba’s child. By joining forces with the Jiao family and with the old man Fu’s support, he was confident he could take over Fu’s Corporation.
But this little country O ruined everything, and all his efforts went down the drain!
The thought that he personally picked this country little O and sent him to Fu Yuan made him so angry he wanted to vomit bl00d. Who could have imagined that such a rustic little O would have such looks and cunning.
The aunt who had asked the question was also extremely shrewd. After a slight thought, she said, “Ah Yuan, he’s just too stubborn. When he was only five years old, how could he take all the blame? You must advise him well and have a child soon. Your relationship will only be stable once you have a child. Have you and Ah Yuan set a date, when will you get married?”
Ji Xia pursed his lips, his voice carrying a hint of disappointment, “Mr. Fu said he won’t get married.”
The corner of the aunt’s mouth involuntarily turned up, but she forced it back down.
She felt a little more at ease. It seemed that even if this Omega had used every means to stay by Fu Yuan’s side, he had only gained some money; the threat was not as great as imagined. Having a child was probably just the elderly couple’s wishful thinking; Fu Yuan had no such intention.
Her son still had a chance at the Fu family’s business.
She smiled and said, “You are still young, there’s no need to rush. Take your time, take your time.”
Ji Xia didn’t reply.
He knew that even taking his time wouldn’t help; Mr. Fu wouldn’t marry him. He also had self-awareness and wouldn’t expect to marry a top Alpha.
The sound of mahjong tiles rubbing became lively again. The enthusiasm the Omegas in the room had shown towards Ji Xia suddenly appeared and then suddenly dissipated. After the aunt left, no one else paid him any attention.
Afterward, during Ji Xia’s two days at the old house, the attitude of those branch-family uncles and aunts towards him, although still polite, was noticeably cooler.
However, this made Ji Xia feel more relaxed.
During this time, Mr. Fu took him to the hospital for a physical examination.
Dr. Chen, whom he hadn’t seen in a while, told Ji Xia that his pheromone treatment was working very well, and Mr. Fu’s pheromone disorder had significantly improved.
He also quietly whispered to him that Mr. Fu’s heat period would arrive soon and told him to work hard.
Ji Xia thought he meant working hard on the treatment and nodded seriously, saying he would definitely do his best.
On the day they left the old house, Little Grandfather specially came down to see Ji Xia off.
He also gave Ji Xia two large bags of things, requesting that he only open them once he got home.
Ji Xia rarely received gifts and held them tightly, cherishing them. As soon as he got back to the villa, like a child who had received a marvelous present, he couldn’t wait and eagerly tore open the packaging in the living room.
After opening the large outer box, inside were twenty small, neatly stacked, square boxes.
The small square boxes were dark blue, with “Ultra-thin, O-Touch” written on the cover. Inside, when opened, were things wrapped in aluminum foil.
Ji Xia held one in his hand, examining it for a moment, but couldn’t figure out what it was. With a confused look, he shook the aluminum foil package and asked Butler Xu, “Grandpa Xu, what did Little Grandfather give me?”
Butler Xu’s old face flushed red. He had encountered the most difficult situation in his professional career it was neither right to answer nor not to answer.
Fortunately, Fu Yuan came downstairs at that moment. Seizing the opportunity, he immediately said, “Young Master Ji, please ask the Young Master.” With that, he scurried away like the wind.
Ji Xia’s face became even more bewildered. He shook the aluminum foil package in his hand and asked the same question to the Alpha who had just come downstairs.
Fu Yuan’s eyes lingered on Ji Xia’s hand for a moment, his expression unfathomable.
He expressionlessly took the two heavy bags and said in a cool voice, “Chen Xi just sent me the analysis of my scent gland condition. The lab report estimates that my rut will be in two weeks.”
Ji Xia didn’t understand how the topic suddenly switched to Mr. Fu’s rut. But he nodded very seriously, his big eyes looking at the Alpha with clear ignorance.
Fu Yuan leaned closer and whispered in his ear, “The first rut, I might lose control. So, for the next two weeks, we need to practice properly.”
The Alpha’s warm breath on his earlobe made Ji Xia’s head spin slightly. He asked blankly, “Practice what?”
Fu Yuan’s deep, pleasant voice chuckled softly. He lifted the bag he was holding and said, “How to use these.”
