- After Clinging to a Big Shot, the Pitiful Omega Got Pregnant
- Chapter 41 - Burnt Tongue
The private plane took off, leaving the ground and soaring into the azure sky.
Ji Xia spent the entire flight pressed against the window, watching the sky, the clouds, and the land and the vast blue sea that had shrunk into a mass tens of thousands of meters below. He never tired of the view.
He would occasionally turn back to call for Mr. Fu to look with him.
The Alpha always indulged him, leaning in to look. Later, for convenience, he simply held the Omega on his lap.
After about eight hours, the plane reached a private island located near the equator.
It was only after landing that Ji Xia realized the people who delivered supplies and the servants only came once every evening, and to avoid meeting them, they would come and go quietly.
This meant that for the next two weeks, it would only be him and Mr. Fu on the island.
There were several villas on the small island. As the plane took off, he had been held in Mr. Fu’s arms and chosen the one built halfway up the mountain.
The villa was small, only two and a half stories, nestled against the mountain and facing the sea. The scenery was lovely, and the air was fresh.
Ji Xia put on slippers and wandered around upstairs and downstairs to familiarize himself with the surroundings.
When he came back downstairs, he saw Mr. Fu, who had changed into home clothes and was wearing a blue apron, washing vegetables in the open-plan kitchen.
The sunlight streamed through the Venetian blinds, casting long strips of light on the Alpha. The crystal-clear water from the tap ran over his long, slender fingers, as if stroking a work of art. The entire scene was warm and peaceful, like the most beautiful picture of home Ji Xia had ever seen.
Ji Xia quietly slipped into a corner of the picture, standing beside Mr. Fu.
He craned his small neck to watch for a moment, and seeing the Alpha’s skillful movements, he asked, “Mr. Fu, you can cook?”
The Alpha’s face was expressionless, and he said flatly, “No, I just looked at the recipe and am trying it now.”
Ji Xia watched Mr. Fu skillfully heat the oil, add ginger and garlic, stir-fry until fragrant, then pour in the sliced duck meat, stir-fry, add water, and seasoning. The whole process was incredibly smooth, without any hesitation. He was amazed and asked, “You saw the recipe once and you remembered it and know how to cook it?”
Fu Yuan showed a puzzled expression. “It’s not difficult.”
Ji Xia, who had been busy in the kitchen since he was a child and still only knew how to make simple noodles and stir-fry, gained a new understanding of Mr. Fu’s competence.
He watched for a while longer and asked, “Mr. Fu, do you need my help to assist?”
Fu Yuan glanced at the eager look on the Omega’s face and took out two potatoes for him. “Beef stew with potatoes. You peel the potatoes.”
“Okay.”
Some of the sunlight streaming through the Venetian blinds also fell on Ji Xia’s face as he diligently peeled the potatoes, making the fine downy hairs on his smooth face clearly visible.
After peeling the potatoes, he rinsed them clean under running water, then presented them to Mr. Fu as if seeking praise, saying, “Mr. Fu, look, I’ve peeled them all.”
Fu Yuan looked at the neatly peeled potatoes, took them, and said, “Not bad. Deserves a reward.”
He lowered his head and kissed Ji Xia on the forehead.
Ji Xia was stunned and touched the spot on his forehead where he had been kissed.
Since he was old enough to walk, Ji Xia had been helping with chores at home, but all he ever received was scolding. Zheng Qiufang called him clumsy, and Ji Chengguo called him a Beta, a good-for-nothing parasite, a money-wasting burden.
He had never been praised; it was as if everything he did was wrong.
Mr. Fu’s simple “Not bad” made his heart warm. He wanted to stay right here.
He became even more excited and asked Mr. Fu if there was anything else he needed help with.
Fu Yuan lifted the pot lid, and the fragrant smell of braised duck instantly burst forth, making Ji Xia involuntarily swallow. Fu Yuan picked up a piece of duck meat with his chopsticks and brought it to his mouth, saying, “Taste it. How is the flavor?”
Ji Xia took a bite from the chopsticks. The duck meat was very tender, with a rich savory flavor.
“Delicious!”
His eyes sparkled, and he couldn’t resist quickly pulling the small piece on the chopsticks directly into his mouth. He was in such a rush that he burned his tongue, and the duck meat rolled straight onto the floor.
Ji Xia hadn’t expected to mess things up again. He immediately apologized and was about to bend down to pick up the piece of meat.
But the Alpha wrapped an arm around his waist, using an irresistible force to pinch his chin and make him lift his head. Fu Yuan’s expression was a little cold, his brow slightly furrowed, and he said, “Stick out your tongue and let me see.”
Ji Xia knew he had angered Mr. Fu again, so he obediently stuck out the tip of his tongue for the man to inspect.
Fu Yuan examined it for a moment and said, “It’s a bit red.”
After confirming it, he released the hand pinching Ji Xia’s chin and made a phone call.
Ji Xia was a little surprised when he heard what Mr. Fu was saying on the phone.
He had only slightly burned his tongue, and Mr. Fu was calling Dr. Chen to ask how to handle it. It seemed a bit overly dramatic. Wouldn’t this minor injury just heal by itself by tomorrow?
Once when he was a child, he was so hungry and afraid that Ji Chengguo wouldn’t let him eat, that he ate a roasted sweet potato too quickly and burned half of his tongue. He couldn’t eat for three days, and he just let it heal slowly by itself.
His injuries always healed by themselves; he didn’t need to see a doctor.
Fu Yuan hung up the phone, poured a glass of ice water for Ji Xia, and said, “Hold it in your mouth for a few seconds and then spit it out. Then hold new cold water. Don’t eat any of these cooked dishes; I’ll cook some porridge for you.”
Ji Xia felt his nose sting with an inexplicable emotion.
He took the cup dumbly, held the ice water, spat it out after a few seconds, and said, “Mr. Fu, I’m not in pain. It’s just a tiny burn.”
Fu Yuan said, “It’s better to eat soft, easy-to-swallow food, it will heal faster.”
Ji Xia very, very lightly pinched a corner of the Alpha’s clothing and whispered, “Mr. Fu, did I cause trouble for you again?”
Fu Yuan rubbed his head and said, “No. Get well quickly. I want to kiss you.”
Ji Xia’s ear tips flushed red. His eyes shone brightly as he looked at the Alpha and said, “I don’t hurt, we can kiss.”
Fu Yuan looked at the Omega’s innocent expression and sighed imperceptibly, saying, “It might get infected.”
Ji Xia didn’t want to pass germs to the Alpha, so he stopped talking and held the ice water, diligently keeping it in his mouth. By the time Fu Yuan finished cooking the porridge and turned to look for him, the Omega’s lips were already white from the ice water.
Fu Yuan gently took the cup from his hand and said, “That’s enough.”
Ji Xia stuck out his tongue for the Alpha to see. “Mr. Fu, I’m all better now. We can kiss.”
Fu Yuan pinched his nose and said, “Not today.”
Ji Xia pulled his sleeve, lowered his head, and whispered, “We can kiss without using tongues.”
Fu Yuan hung up the apron, looked at the Omega’s ears which were completely red, and then reached out to trap Ji Xia between the island counter and his two arms. He asked, “You want to kiss me that much? Huh?”
The redness on Ji Xia’s ears spread to the corners of his eyes, his cheeks were as red as a tomato, his eyelashes fluttered wildly, and he pressed his lips together, not speaking.
Fu Yuan pinched his chin, lifting his head.
His thumb rubbed against the Omega’s lips, and his voice was slightly husky as he said, “Answer me.”
Ji Xia smelled the medicinal herb pheromone, a faint bitterness that he still loved. He nodded his head slightly, his gaze lowered.
Fu Yuan spoke with a hint of malice, “Say it.”
Ji Xia was forced to comply and said in a very soft voice, “Mm. Yes, I do.”
The scent of medicinal herb pheromones in the air grew thicker, which indicated that its owner was becoming more aroused.
The pheromones seemed to have a will of their own, surging toward the Omega, aggressively and savagely trying to penetrate his scent gland and every pore, wanting to possess him.
Under the Alpha pheromone’s temptation, Ji Xia’s own pheromones began to release slowly, without his noticing.
The bitter smell of medicinal herbs and the sweet scent of cream biscuits quickly intertwined. The temperature in the kitchen began to rise because of this, and the atmosphere became even more ambiguous.
Fu Yuan’s nose was filled with the Omega’s pheromones.
His breathing deepened, and he asked, “Don’t you want to eat now?”
The flush on Ji Xia’s cheeks extended to the corners of his eyes. After being carefully nurtured, the Omega’s inherently beautiful features were now revealing their true charm, stunningly gorgeous like the most brilliant colors. Yet, this brilliance was infused with innocence, making him incredibly captivating.
And that trace of red at the corner of his eyes was like the lingering base note of a perfume, adding a touch of naughtiness to his pure eyes, making him extremely alluring.
Fu Yuan’s pheromones grew more turbulent, wanting to stain the Omega entirely, from the inside out, with his own scent.
Ji Xia felt a little uncomfortable, provoked by the Alpha’s domineering pheromones. He had experienced this feeling twice, and he knew what it was. It was strange—when watching adult films and thinking about needing that during a rut, Ji Xia felt terrified and resistant.
But now, the Alpha in front of him was Mr. Fu, and a lot of that fear disappeared, just like the first time they were together in bed. He actually wasn’t that scared.
Ji Xia didn’t dare let Mr. Fu discover his reaction. He shifted his body backward a little and said, “Let’s eat first.”
Fu Yuan hummed in acknowledgement.
However, he didn’t withdraw his arms, nor did his pheromones show any sign of restraint.
Such an uncontrollable loss of pheromone control was almost impossible for Fu Yuan, clearly indicating that his rut was approaching.
Ji Xia waited for a while, and when Mr. Fu still didn’t react, he quietly lifted his eyelids to glance at him. The Alpha’s eyes were very cold and deep, containing a storm he couldn’t comprehend.
Just as he was about to say something, Fu Yuan withdrew his arms and turned around to serve him porridge.
Ji Xia finished a bowl of porridge with difficulty, entirely enveloped in the medicinal herb pheromones. After dinner, he initially wanted to help clean up the dishes, but Fu Yuan shooed him out of the kitchen.
The Alpha pecked him on the lips, his voice incredibly hoarse, saying, “Xia Xia, go upstairs and change your clothes. The bunny outfit from last time was nice.”
Ji Xia was a little happy that Mr. Fu had proactively suggested he change into a costume. He nodded and went upstairs.
Ji Xia entered the bathroom, and while taking a shower, he consulted the System. “System, Mr. Fu likes that bunny costume. Help me change into it again tonight.”
“Apologies, Host. Each outfit can only be changed into once.”
Ji Xia wrinkled his nose, troubled. “Then what should I do?”
“Host, the System can switch you to a similar outfit.”
Ji Xia thought that was feasible.
“Please provide keywords, Host.”
Ji Xia thought for a moment and said, “Mr. Fu likes it, similar to the bunny outfit, must be pretty…”
“Extracting keywords: ‘Alpha likes’, ‘Cute transformation’, ‘Pretty style’. Searching…”
“Found outfits that meet the requirements. Countdown to transformation: fifteen minutes.”
