- After Clinging to a Big Shot, the Pitiful Omega Got Pregnant
- Chapter 47 - How Can I Endure This? It's Not Good for the Body
Fu Yuan gave Ji Xia a key to the shop.
Before setting up his stall each day, Ji Xia would ride his little electric scooter out of his way to check on the renovation progress of his bakery. Watching the small shop gradually take on the look of the design blueprint filled him with anticipation and hope.
This was the happy life Ji Xia had never imagined: being able to stay by Mr. Fu’s side and own a bakery.
He was incredibly content, feeling like he was the happiest person in the world.
However, one day, this happiness had a minor hiccup.
Initially, Ji Xia didn’t pay much attention to it, but his body was getting tired and fatigued more easily than usual. He figured it might be due to the longer working hours he’d been keeping to earn more money, so he reduced the number of loaves he made and made more time for rest.
But the physical fatigue didn’t go away; instead, it became worse, making him easily tired and sleepy, and his appetite was also decreasing.
One day, he felt intensely nauseous and queasy while eating. To avoid wasting food, he forced himself to eat everything that had been prepared for him. The result was a churning stomach once he returned to his room, and he ended up clinging to the toilet, violently vomiting.
After throwing up, Ji Xia felt completely drained, with a dull ache in his lower abdomen. He rubbed his belly and with difficulty poured a glass of cold water to rinse his mouth. After cleaning up, he dragged his heavy steps to collapse onto the bed.
There was no discomfort that a good sleep couldn’t fix; if there was, then sleep a little longer.
Ji Xia fell into a hazy sleep like this.
He slowly sank down, as if falling into the sea, which made him feel a bit uncomfortable. He wanted to struggle, but his whole body felt like it was filled with lead, too heavy for him to move.
Just then, a small golden fish swam over from who knows where and circled around Ji Xia.
The little golden fish seemed a bit listless, rubbing against Ji Xia’s cheek for a while as if begging for something. Ji Xia felt an unprompted pang of heartache. He wanted to comfort the little fish, but he couldn’t move his body at all.
The next second, the small golden fish suddenly seemed startled, flicked its tail, and darted into his stomach.
Ji Xia’s body became even heavier as a result, the feeling of discomfort intensified, and the stinging pain in his abdomen became noticeable.
Just when he felt he was about to drown in the sea, he smelled a familiar scent of herbal medicine. It was like a sick person drinking a healing remedy; he felt extremely comfortable, his body immediately relaxed, and the abdominal pain slowly disappeared.
When Fu Yuan returned, he saw Ji Xia lying on the bed, eyes tightly closed, brows furrowed, and a distressed expression.
He pulled the person into his arms and gently woke him up. The Omega slightly opened his eyes, but his gaze was scattered, and he mumbled about needing pheromones.
After Fu Yuan released soothing pheromones, the Omega’s condition quickly returned to normal.
Fu Yuan was worried and called Chen Xi.
Chen Xi told him that Omegas who had just passed the rut period with an Alpha were prone to separation anxiety, and they would feel unwell if the Alpha was away for too long.
If he still felt unwell after waking up the next morning, he should be taken to the hospital for a check-up. If everything was fine, Fu Yuan should release more pheromones to soothe him during this time.
Fu Yuan hung up the phone and carefully observed the Omega for a while, only relaxing when he confirmed that his expression was normal and his breathing was even.
Ji Xia woke up to find himself nestled in the Alpha’s arms; it was already the next morning.
“Mr. Fu,” he softly called out.
Fu Yuan touched his forehead and cheek, asking, “Is your body uncomfortable?”
After a night’s sleep, Ji Xia felt much better, and his stomach was back to normal. He was fine again. He shook his head and said, “No. I just feel a little tired.”
Fu Yuan kissed his lips and said, “Rest well at home today, no running around.”
Ji Xia nodded, then rubbed his head against the Alpha’s shoulder for a moment. He suddenly remembered something and said, “Mr. Fu, I don’t want to eat fish anymore. Please ask Grandpa Xu not to make fish again.”
Fu Yuan asked, “Why the sudden change? You used to love it.”
Ji Xia said, “I don’t know, it just tastes too fishy.”
Fu Yuan asked, “What do you want to eat then?”
Ji Xia thought for a moment and said, “I don’t want anything too greasy.”
Fu Yuan lowered his gaze to examine him.
Ji Xia added, “I’ve been too tired recently and want to eat something light.”
Seeing that his face was rosy and his spirit was good, Fu Yuan figured it was a separation anxiety issue and decided to come home earlier to spend time with him.
He didn’t ask anything else, only forbidding Ji Xia from going out to set up his stall for the next two days.
Ji Xia also felt he needed a break. The shop was about to open, and things would surely be busier afterward, so he agreed without much struggle.
After switching to a light diet, Ji Xia’s nausea largely disappeared. Mr. Fu came home early every day to release soothing pheromones, which made his physical condition even better.
Although he still felt easily fatigued and was very sleepy every day, sleeping like a little pig that couldn’t be woken up, there were no other noticeable discomforts.
Ji Xia attributed this sudden sleepiness to the coming winter, needing to hibernate. The only thing he found a bit strange was that he occasionally dreamed of the little golden fish circling around him.
But a dream was just a dream, and Ji Xia didn’t take it too seriously.
Time flew by, and in the blink of an eye, Ji Xia’s bakery was finished with renovations.
The shop was located in the central area of the city center commercial street, about eighty square meters.
The interior decoration was a warm Japanese-style natural wood, with a light wood color palette, simple and natural. Green plants were placed next to the natural wood display cases and shelves, full of vitality.
A partition was built at the back for the kitchen.
The size of the shop was perfect, and Ji Xia only needed to hire one more staff member.
Fu Yuan stood outside the counter, watching the Omega writing and drawing on the handwritten menu board inside the counter, and asked, “When are you planning to open?”
“The sooner, the better,” Ji Xia said without lifting his head. A moment later, he held up the handwritten menu board for the Alpha to see. “Mr. Fu, how is this recruitment ad? Do you think anyone will call me?”
Fu Yuan glanced at the round and cute handwriting on it and said, “I’ve already hired a staff member for you. They can start anytime.”
Ji Xia’s eyes lit up. He was worried about what to do if he couldn’t find a suitable person. He immediately said, “Thank you, Mr. Fu.”
Fu Yuan slightly raised an eyebrow and said, “Just a thank you?”
Ji Xia’s ear tips turned slightly red. He glanced around; the counter was conveniently shielded by green plants, so he quickly circled out from behind the counter and kissed the Alpha on the lips.
Fu Yuan naturally embraced the Omega’s waist, lifting him to sit on the counter, and lectured, “Xia Xia, don’t casually leave your phone number in public places. If it’s seen by someone with ill intentions, it could cause a lot of trouble.”
Reminded by Mr. Fu, Ji Xia recalled the scum Alphas who used to bother him and suddenly felt a little scared.
He said, “I know. I’ll be careful next time.” He paused, then asked, “Mr. Fu, how much salary did you set for the employee? I’ll include it in the expenses.”
Fu Yuan held the Omega’s waist and asked, “What do you think is appropriate?”
Ji Xia thought for a moment and said, “My previous part-time job as a bakery clerk was 3000 yuan a month. 6:00 AM to 7:00 PM, with two days off per month. I worked there for two years, but later the factory’s salary was higher, so I switched to that part-time. However, that was in the countryside, and I’m not sure about Kyoto. Mr. Fu, you hired the person, you make the decision.”
Fu Yuan looked at the opening hours Ji Xia had just posted on the sign and asked, “Isn’t it open from 6 AM to 10 PM?”
Ji Xia said, “I’ll handle the remaining time myself.”
Fu Yuan leaned closer to the Omega, resting his hands on the counter and trapping him between his arms, and asked, “Then what time are you planning to wake up to make bread?”
Ji Xia said, “I estimate four o’clock. I’ll see then; if business is good, I’ll make a little more.”
Fu Yuan unhappily nibbled on his lip and asked, “What about me?”
Ji Xia asked in confusion, “What about you?”
Fu Yuan tilted his head and whispered a few words in his ear.
Ji Xia’s earlobes turned red, and he shyly said, “From 11 o’clock to 3 o’clock, you can do whatever you want.”
Fu Yuan asked, “Do you think that’s enough?”
Ji Xia pursed his lips.
Based on his understanding of Mr. Fu, he knew it definitely wasn’t enough. Mr. Fu’s sessions were very long, and if they did it, he needed at least two times to be satisfied.
But he couldn’t help it. He wanted to earn more money so he could officially date Mr. Fu sooner.
He thought for a while and said, “Mr. Fu, can you try to hold back?”
Fu Yuan was amused by the question. “How can I endure this?! Holding back too much is not good for the body.”
Ji Xia asked, “Then how did you deal with it before?”
Fu Yuan directly sealed the Omega’s lips, kissing him until his eyelashes fluttered wildly, making him completely unable to ask any more questions.
A moment later, Fu Yuan stepped back. He raised his hand to gently rub Ji Xia’s lips, which he had kissed red, and said, “Boss Ji, your business hours need to be changed.”
Without giving Ji Xia time to react, he raised his hand and rearranged the numbers that had just been posted on the sign, changing the business hours to 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
Ji Xia said, “But Mr. Fu, such a short time won’t make any money.”
Fu Yuan asked, “Xia Xia, do you think the bread you make is delicious?”
Ji Xia said, “The customers all like it very much and say it tastes great.”
Fu Yuan said, “Xia Xia, do you know about hunger marketing?” He didn’t wait for Ji Xia’s answer and continued, “If the product is good enough and the supply is limited, it can stimulate consumers’ desire to buy, and even lead to a craze of frenzied purchasing. The bread you make is very delicious; you have the capital to make others accommodate your time.”
Ji Xia certainly didn’t understand “hunger marketing,” but Mr. Fu was a super big boss, and he had a blind adoration for Mr. Fu, believing that everything Mr. Fu said must be right.
He nodded, agreeing to try operating according to Mr. Fu’s business hours.
Fu Yuan continued, “Leave for the shop at 9 AM every morning and come home at 4 PM.”
A slightly sad expression appeared on Ji Xia’s face, and he quietly protested. “But Mr. Fu, 9 AM is too late. I won’t have enough time to make bread.”
Fu Yuan softened his voice, with a hint of fondness that even he hadn’t noticed, and said, “Xia Xia, please rest a little more, okay? Don’t make me worry.”
Ji Xia wanted to say he didn’t need rest, but facing Mr. Fu’s expectant eyes, the words of refusal somehow couldn’t be spoken. After a moment of hesitation, Ji Xia nodded and agreed.
