After Differentiating into an Alpha, I Marked My Love Rival - Chapter 2
“Sister?”
After a brief moment of confusion, Ji Yongshu suddenly realized—the omega who could appear here was likely none other than her nominal love rival.
Moreover, that signature green tea scent lingered in the air, filling Ji Yongshu’s nostrils with its elegant fragrance.
The omega must have mistaken her for someone else, still murmuring “sister” incoherently.
Those soft arms held surprising strength, tightly wrapping around Ji Yongshu’s body. The woman nuzzled her face against Ji Yongshu’s neck, the friction of their skin igniting an unbearable restlessness.
For some reason, Ji Yongshu’s legs felt weak.
The coldness in her eyes was replaced by irritation. Only after being pinned against the wall did she force herself to regain composure, grabbing the woman’s long, loose hair and yanking it downward.
Ji Yongshu had always disdained using such methods against an omega. As she had initially planned, she would have preferred resolving this matter gently—had this omega not made such a bold move.
Though she didn’t know why Zhou Yi wasn’t in the room or why this omega had gone into heat, Ji Yongshu quickly steadied herself and pulled harder on the woman’s hair.
Only when the grip around her loosened from the pain did Ji Yongshu finally release her hold, shoving the woman away without hesitation. She watched coldly as the omega staggered back, nearly collapsing to the floor.
Eyes reddened, the omega pouted the moment she was pushed away. Her round, bright eyes brimmed with tears, her gaze hazy and lost.
“Sister…”
Why push me away?
Ji Yongshu brushed off nonexistent dust from her clothes and straightened her outfit before taking a deep breath. “Open your eyes and look properly,” she said icily. “I’m not your sister.”
The “sister” this omega called for was probably Zhou Yi.
Speaking of which—where was Zhou Yi?
Ji Yongshu had clearly seen her enter the room. Why, when she pushed the door open, was there only a heat-stricken omega inside?
She had even waited in the hallway for over ten minutes, enduring the cold breeze, just to give the two some privacy.
Frowning, Ji Yongshu scanned the private room carefully, confirming there was no place an alpha could hide, before exhaling in frustration.
Catching them in the act hadn’t been her intention, but failing to find Zhou Yi only fueled her anger—as if she’d been played for a fool.
How could Zhou Yi be so careless? Leaving a heat-stricken omega alone here—wasn’t she afraid another alpha might take advantage?
As Ji Yongshu pondered, the woman stumbled toward her again. This time, Ji Yongshu dodged.
With Zhou Yi absents, she had no reason to stay. As for what happened to this omega—what did it have to do with her?
Ji Yongshu wasn’t charitable enough to help someone who’d tried to steal her partner.
She turned to leave, but the omega seized the opportunity, pressing her soft body against Ji Yongshu once more. The overwhelming tea scent enveloped her completely.
This time, not only was her waist tightly embraced by a pair of hands, but her neck also fell victim.
When Ji Yongshu felt something soft press against her neck, her mind went blank.
It wasn’t until a wave of scorching breath brushed against her skin that she suddenly snapped back to reality—it was the omega’s lips.
Gentle, lingering kisses trailed along the side of Ji Yongshu’s neck. The omega’s breathing was erratic, her teeth grazing without restraint.
Ji Yongshu winced at the sharp sting, fueling her anger even further.
Yet, her body seemed to betray her—her legs trembled weakly, her arms too sore to lift. Pushing the omega away was out of the question; even dodging her kisses had become an impossible task.
A sense of despair crept over Ji Yongshu.
There must be something wrong with this private room!
Otherwise, how could she explain the strange reactions her body had been having since she stepped inside?
“Let go…” Ji Yongshu hissed through gritted teeth, irritated by the persistent pain on her neck. “Are you a dog?!”
The omega paused, then softened her touch.
Ji Yongshu immediately caught on and let out a cold laugh. “So, you can understand me.”
So, it was all an act earlier!
The omega clung to her, murmuring in a voice so sweet it was almost syrupy, “Jiejie, don’t be mad.”
Though her tone was pleading, her grip remained unyielding, arms locked tightly around Ji Yongshu.
Ji Yongshu tugged at the omega’s hands with force, enunciating each syllable sharply: “Jiang. Zhi. Luo.”
Jiang Zhiluo’s lips curled into a smile as she nuzzled her nose against the scent gland on Ji Yongshu’s nape, inhaling the sweet, peachy fragrance like an addict chasing a high.
Even with the scent suppressant patch in place, the intoxicating aroma still seeped through.
Jiejie’s pheromones… so sweet.
This wasn’t the first time she had caught a whiff, but it was the first time she had been this close.
Jiang Zhiluo cursed herself for not being an alpha—otherwise, all she’d need to do was tilt her head slightly to sink her teeth into the gland and flood Ji Yongshu’s body with her own scent.
Ji Yongshu noticed the omega’s fixation on her gland and tensed for a moment before exhaling in relief.
At least Jiang Zhiluo is just an omega.
She shut her eyes briefly, her voice icy. “Jiang Zhiluo, let go.”
Jiang Zhiluo’s hands roamed shamelessly over Ji Yongshu’s slender waist, exploring every curve like a rogue, leaving Ji Yongshu both flustered and furious.
Ji Yongshu’s blazer had long come undone, hanging loosely from her wrists. The thin straps of her dress did little to conceal the delicate slope of her shoulders, their alluring lines fully exposed to Jiang Zhiluo’s gaze.
Jiang Zhiluo pressed her cheek against Ji Yongshu’s shoulder, murmuring in a daze, “Jiejie, don’t leave… okay?”
Like hell I won’t!
Ji Yongshu cursed inwardly but forced herself to reason with the omega. “Do you even know who I am?”
That bastard Meng Chuyu—had she fallen into a ditch? Why wasn’t she back yet?!
Suppressing her fury, Ji Yongshu reminded Jiang Zhiluo coldly, “I’m Zhou Yi’s fiancée.”
Jiang Zhiluo fell silent for a long moment before lifting her gaze. Despite her sweet features, her eyes burned with a feral intensity, sharp as a starving wolf’s.
She didn’t like what Ji Yongshu had just said.
The sister was hers!
Zhou Yi?
Was she even worthy?
In Ji Yongshu’s imagination, after revealing her identity, the omega behind her should have been shocked and ashamed, releasing her embrace and keeping her distance.
After all, what mistress could brazenly flaunt herself before the rightful partner?
Yet after waiting, the person behind her not only didn’t let go but held on even tighter.
Had she spoken too softly? Maybe Jiang Zhiluo hadn’t heard her clearly.
Just as Ji Yongshu was about to repeat herself, the omega behind her suddenly covered her lips with a hand while hot lips pressed against her neck.
“Sister smells so good…”
Jiang Zhiluo kept kissing while praising, “Your pheromones are so sweet, like a juicy peach. I just want to devour you whole.”
This scoundrel!
Ji Yongshu was certain Jiang Zhiluo had heard her words but was pretending otherwise just to take advantage of her!
Furious, Ji Yongshu’s eyes reddened—this was the first time an omega had ever pinned her down like this. Seeing the other’s hands wandering lower, she finally snapped.
She bit down hard on Jiang Zhiluo’s hand, forcing her to release the grip over her mouth. Staring at the teeth marks, Jiang Zhiluo pouted, “Sister is so mean.”
Taking a deep breath, Ji Yongshu growled, “Jiang Zhiluo, are you sure you want to do this?”
Offending her meant offending the entire Ji family.
Originally, Ji Yongshu hadn’t planned to retaliate against this omega who stole her partner, but the other insisted on provoking her.
Seeing Ji Yongshu’s genuine anger, Jiang Zhiluo immediately softened her attitude, pretending to be incoherent as she whimpered, “So hot…”
“It’s unbearable… sister, help me…”
The overpowering tea scent in the air confirmed Jiang Zhiluo was truly in heat, slightly easing Ji Yongshu’s rage.
She could almost convince herself Jiang Zhiluo wasn’t doing this intentionally—she was just out of her mind.
After all, if Jiang Zhiluo could seduce Zhou Yi, she must prefer alphas. An omega couldn’t mark someone of the same s3x, something Jiang Zhiluo surely knew. She couldn’t help her through her heat or give a temporary mark.
Her clinging must be because they were the only two in the room.
Having rationalized Jiang Zhiluo’s behavior, Ji Yongshu suppressed her anger at being taken advantage of by another omega. She’d rather believe this was unintentional than deliberate.
Forcing down her fury, Ji Yongshu reminded her coldly, “I can’t help you.”
Jiang Zhiluo’s soft whimpers made Ji Yongshu wonder—was this how she’d charmed Zhou Yi?
Though she didn’t care for Zhou Yi and knew this wasn’t entirely Jiang Zhiluo’s fault, the humiliation still made it impossible to like her.
Hearing the coquettish pleas behind her, a sudden malice rose in Ji Yongshu, driving her to sneer:
“If I were an alpha, I’d help you.”
Pausing, she added icily, “Too bad I’m an omega too.”
She didn’t do omega-omega relationships.
And she certainly wouldn’t have one with her love rival.
Jiang Zhiluo immediately fell silent, her only movement being the arms still wrapped around Ji Yongshu.
The atmosphere grew increasingly tense.
Just then, the door to the private room was suddenly knocked on from the outside. Ji Yongshu faintly heard Meng Chuyu’s voice.
“Yongshu, are you in there?”
Before Ji Yongshu could respond, Jiang Zhiluo behind her seemed startled awake by the voice. She abruptly released her hold on Ji Yongshu, her body going limp as she slumped downward.
“It hurts…”
Clutching her own gland, she curled into herself, looking utterly disheveled.
Ji Yongshu quickly turned around, pressing her back against the door as she stared at Jiang Zhiluo in shock and uncertainty.
Meng Chuyu continued knocking. Ji Yongshu patted her chest, her voice hoarse. “Don’t come in yet.”
“Find me two doses of omega suppressants first.”
