After Disabled A was Reborn, She Got Scummed Again - Chapter 10
“…Huh?” Chu Qiyan was stunned for a moment. What did Qin Xiao mean by “I saw it”?
“There’s no surveillance camera in the hall. Don’t waste your time thinking about it,” Qin Xiao said calmly. She clearly understood that Chu Qiyan wanted evidence.
“…I see, alright then…” Chu Qiyan mulled it over but couldn’t find the right words. Was the matter going to be brushed off just like that?
This was Qin Xiao they were talking about. Did Chu Qian even consider the consequences? What if she had angered Qin Xiao last night and dragged the entire Chu family down with her?
And what exactly did Qin Xiao mean by that? Was she protecting Chu Qian? Or telling her to drop it? Chu Qiyan looked at her but didn’t dare ask.
The car fell into a deep silence—thankfully, they soon arrived at the hospital.

When they saw Xu Chanmian again, she had changed into a white lab coat. Her long hair was tied back, softening her usual flamboyance and adding a more intellectual air.
“You’re here,” Xu Chanmian greeted with her arms crossed and a smile.
“Hello, Dr. Xu,” Chu Qiyan said sweetly, walking beside Qin Xiao.
“Alright, Chu Qiyan, go ahead and do the check-up,” Xu Chanmian said as she handed over a form.
“…Okay,” Chu Qiyan replied, hesitantly glancing at both women.
“You can go,” Qin Xiao said.
So, obediently, Chu Qiyan headed to the appropriate department for her exam. The form listed only a standard bl00d test, which eased a lot of her worries.
Qin Xiao had brought her here specifically for this? The whole setup felt strange—almost like some sort of hidden agenda.
Meanwhile, Qin Xiao remained in Xu Chanmian’s office.
“Did you sense the pheromones again afterward?” Xu Chanmian asked once the door was closed.
“No.”
Xu Chanmian pushed her toward the inner lab, entered a password, and scanned her fingerprint. The wall opened up to reveal a hidden room—her private lab, built specifically for observing Qin Xiao’s condition.
The door shut automatically after they entered.
Xu Chanmian retrieved a small vial from a warming chamber—this was a refined Omega pheromone sample, extremely rare. They’d tried it on Qin Xiao before, but she still couldn’t sense anything.
“Well?” she asked as she opened the vial. The pale-colored liquid began evaporating quickly into the air. She had already applied pheromone blockers beforehand.
“Nothing.” The pheromone diffused quickly, but even when she leaned in, Qin Xiao couldn’t detect the slightest trace.
“Figures… still the same.” Xu Chanmian sealed the vial back.
“How about drugging Chu Qiyan again?” she suggested seriously. “Maybe it really was the aphrodisiac last time. Or maybe she has some unique constitution?”
Qin Xiao looked at her, her gaze turning slightly cold.
“Don’t worry. I’ll give her a sedative afterward. She won’t notice anything,” Xu said with a confident nod. “What? Can’t bear the thought now? I should’ve waited before giving her the antidote—maybe you’d have sensed her pheromones better then.”
“…Forget it. Maybe it was just a coincidence,” Qin Xiao said flatly, as if dismissing something trivial.
“Don’t give up on treatment, Qin Xiao. I promise, I’ll cure you,” Xu Chanmian said as she patted her shoulder with determination.
“Alright,” Qin Xiao replied lightly, clearly indifferent. After all, she was already used to it.
“Just spend more time with Chu Qiyan. If it wasn’t a fluke, there’ll be a second time. Keep her close, and sooner or later, you’ll smell it,” Xu advised seriously.
“Okay.” Qin Xiao nodded thoughtfully.
“Wait—Qin Xiao, don’t tell me… You actually like her?”
Qin Xiao didn’t answer. She began maneuvering her wheelchair toward the door.
“Hey—seriously? She’s totally unworthy of you! Unless she can help you regain your sense of pheromones… At least she’d be useful then.” Xu Chanmian followed behind, still trying to talk her out of it.
“…I’ll protect her,” Qin Xiao said, giving a different kind of answer.
That single line made Xu Chanmian understand where she stood on the matter.
“Why?” she still asked. There were plenty of pitiful people in this world. When had Qin Xiao ever gone out of her way to protect someone—especially an Omega?
“Because I want to.”
The door to the lab closed behind her. Xu Chanmian didn’t question it further. “Alright, go finish your check-up.”
Qin Xiao’s assistant entered to push her out.
Now only Xu Chanmian remained in the office. She stood by the window, lost in thought.

Soon, Chu Qiyan returned after her bl00d was drawn.
“Dr. Xu?” She asked hesitantly as she approached, unsure what to do.
“Just have a seat and wait a bit. Qin Xiao will be here soon,” Xu replied with a smile, sitting behind her desk and glancing at the screen, where Chu Qiyan’s info was displayed.
“Everything looks good. “There are no adverse effects from the aphrodisiac,” she stated earnestly.
“Okay. Thank you, Dr. Xu.”
“What do you think of Qin Xiao?” Xu Chanmian suddenly leaned in and asked with a teasing, unreadable smile.
The question was so sudden that Chu Qiyan didn’t know how to respond. “She’s… very nice,” she replied softly.
“Where did Qin… the head of the Qin family go?” Chu Qiyan seized the chance to ask what had been on her mind.
“She’s just doing a few check-ups. Don’t worry.”
“…Alright.”
Then, Xu Chanmian smirked mischievously. “So, you were the one who bit Qin Xiao’s lips last night? Impressive.”
“Uh… Last night, I…” Chu Qiyan’s face instantly flushed red. How did she know about that?!
“No need to explain, I know, I know…”
“Mhm.” Chu Qiyan just nodded obediently, not daring to say more. The room fell into silence.
With nothing else to do, she pulled out her phone and started scrolling through the news.
Some time later, her phone suddenly rang. She quickly told Xu Chanmian she’d take the call outside.
The caller was one of her few genuine friends—Tian Shi. Usually she just messaged, so a phone call meant something serious.
“Yanyan! Something bad happened—have you seen the school forum? Someone anonymously posted videos and photos of you with Alphas!”
“What?” Chu Qiyan’s expression darkened. Because of her engagement, she had taken time off and hadn’t been keeping up with school matters.
“This is spreading everywhere—it’s huge. You need to get someone to take it down right away!” Tian Shi urged, her voice full of worry.
Unlike the rich kids at school, Tian Shi was just an ordinary student who’d become friends with Chu Qiyan by chance. Their friendship was pure and untainted by status or gain, something Chu Qiyan deeply valued.
“Okay, thank you, Shishi. I’ll check it out now.” After hanging up, she quickly opened the school forum.
Sure enough, the pictures and videos were of her—real scenes, real people, just taken from certain sly angles.
But then she saw one specific photo, and her expression faltered. Who got their hands on these photos?!
The Alphas in the pictures were all individuals whom her father had arranged for her to meet. They had only chatted—nothing more. Except for one: Li Cheng.
She still didn’t know if someone had drugged the tea that day or if she had entered a susceptible phase. Everyone told a different version, and all the evidence had conveniently disappeared.
*****
It had been a normal afternoon. Her father was entertaining elders from the Li family while she met with Li Cheng, a peer.
On paper, it was just polite hosting. In reality, her father was brokering a deal, planning to marry her off in exchange for greater benefits. If the deal was sweet enough, he’d hand her to the Li family without hesitation—Chu Qiyan had no doubt.
She had always known the true face of the Chu family, but she never exposed it. Outwardly, they were one family. After all, they had raised her for over twenty years. She tried her best to persuade her father with reason and gentle warnings.
She had even considered making herself unattractive to deter Alphas, but her parents had explicitly warned her against doing so.
That day, in a study where only she and Li Cheng were present, they had just begun chatting about school life when Li Cheng suddenly loosened her collar and complained about being hot.
Chu Qiyan, ever polite, opened the window for her.
“Miss Li, are you okay?” she asked, noticing how flushed Li Cheng’s face had become.
“Qiyan… I feel so hot…” Li Cheng murmured as she moved closer.
The pheromones in the air immediately alerted Chu Qiyan—something was wrong. She quickly stepped away, edging toward the door.
“Qiyan… I’m so hot…” Li Cheng lunged and grabbed her wrist, refusing to let go, leaning in close.
Just as those thick lips came toward her, Chu Qiyan jerked her head aside and struggled violently, even kicking and biting her. Finally, she broke free.
She rushed to the door—but it was locked.
“Dad! Mom! Li Cheng’s not feeling well—let me out!” She shouted, banging and calling, but no one answered.
Li Cheng, wincing in pain but still obsessed, kept coming closer. “Chu Qiyan, just give in. Being with our Li family is the best you can hope for.”
“Miss Li, stay away!” Chu Qiyan snatched a flower vase and held it in front of her for defense.
“Why pretend? Isn’t this what your family wants? Be good and come here—I’ll go easy on you.”
Li Cheng kept pressing forward. “Stop running. Your father already made the deal. You’re mine…”
“Get lost! Don’t come near me!” With no way out, Chu Qiyan’s back was already against the wall.
Red-eyed, Li Cheng lunged again. The pheromone-filled air was suffocating.
Chu Qiyan threw the flower vase at Li Cheng, then quickly climbed out the window.
The vase missed, but Li Cheng grabbed her leg. “Chu Qiyan, don’t you dare run!”
Kicking and punching wildly, Chu Qiyan finally freed herself. She looked down from the third floor and saw that below was a garden. Gritting her teeth, she aimed for a patch of trees, one arm shielding her head and the other grabbing at branches.
She hit the shrubs and tumbled to the ground.
The aftermath?
She broke a bone in her hand and suffered numerous bruises and cuts. When she tried to file a report, her father brushed it off casually. Chu Qian, upon knowing what she did, added fuel to the fire and watching with delight
After that, her father backed off for a while—until they latched onto Qin Xiao.

Now, back in the hospital corridor, Chu Qiyan’s beautiful face was tense and unreadable; her emotions were burning.
And this was the sight that greeted Qin Xiao as she returned—Chu Qiyan’s slim figure leaning silently against the wall, looking utterly lost and abandoned. Chu Qiyan appeared as if she was a lost and lonely little stray pup.
“What’s wrong? Did Xu Chanmian say something?” Qin Xiao asked with a frown.
