After Going on a Blind Date With My Omega Love Rival (ABO, GL) - Chapter 32
Chapter 32
Hearing Chi Ruixi’s words, Yu Heyi felt like everything she wanted to say was suddenly stuck in her throat. She couldn’t get the words out anymore.
She wanted everyone eyeing Chi Ruixi to know that Chi Ruixi was her omega.
Feelings? They’d come with time.
No matter how much she used to dislike Chi Ruixi, Yu Heyi had to admit now that she… cared about her, maybe even liked her a bit.
No, she cared a lot. As for how much she liked her, she wasn’t sure yet.
But she definitely didn’t want those alphas staring at Chi Ruixi.
Whether Chi Ruixi willingly went on that blind date or not, she was her wife now.
But now, it felt like she was being slapped in the face—by her own words, no less.
Yu Heyi’s expression soured, as if her own words had hurt her. Chi Ruixi felt like she couldn’t keep up with her pace. Ever since they got married, Yu Heyi seemed like a different person. Though Chi Ruixi liked the change, it also surprised her.
She’d thought Yu Heyi would agree to her suggestion.
Though… she secretly hoped Yu Heyi wouldn’t, just like now.
Still, she wanted to tease her. Hiding her surprise, Chi Ruixi smiled and said to Yu Heyi, “Our marriage is just a formality, so I think it’s unnecessary.”
Unnecessary? Freaking unnecessary again.
What did Chi Ruixi even think was necessary? Even if it wasn’t her who marked her permanently, would it be unnecessary with any alpha?
“If it wasn’t me, what about another alpha?” Yu Heyi asked.
Another alpha, spending Chi Ruixi’s heat with her.
As soon as the words left her mouth, Chi Ruixi’s expression changed—shocked and stunned. She hadn’t expected Yu Heyi to ask that and instinctively said, “I’m not that kind of casual person.”
Yu Heyi didn’t say anything more. Instead, she stood up from the chair, walked to Chi Ruixi’s side, and scooped her up in her arms.
“Yu Heyi, what are you doing?” Chi Ruixi didn’t know what she was up to and struggled a bit, but her strength was no match. She let Yu Heyi carry her out of the office.
As they stepped out, they ran into Teacher Cheng coming back. She hadn’t expected to witness this scene. She’d had enough drama for one day and was stuffed.
“Chi… Teacher Chi,” she stammered.
Chi Ruixi blushed deeply, too embarrassed to look at Teacher Cheng. She pounded Yu Heyi’s shoulder with her fist, whispering, “Put me down.”
Would Yu Heyi let go? No way. She held Chi Ruixi tighter and grinned at Teacher Cheng. “You know our Ruixi hurt her leg. It’s hard for her to walk.”
Teacher Cheng smiled back, saying, “Yeah, you two head back and take good care of Teacher Chi.”
Yu Heyi flashed her a smile, then carried Chi Ruixi away.
Watching their retreating figures, Teacher Cheng, full of gossip, muttered, “Teacher Chi seems so reserved usually. How’s she blushing so much?”
Yu Heyi hadn’t noticed Chi Ruixi’s blush. She only knew that after saying, “Our Ruixi hurt her leg,” Chi Ruixi stopped struggling and buried her face in her chest.
She thought Chi Ruixi was just shy in front of Teacher Cheng.
How could she know it was because of that “our Ruixi”?
Chi Ruixi felt exhausted from pretending.
Especially hearing Yu Heyi’s “our Ruixi.” It was like she’d eaten honey—she couldn’t help wanting to smile but was afraid Yu Heyi would notice, so she buried her face in her chest. But Yu Heyi’s pheromones made her blush even more. She loved it so much.
This was… her alpha.
Yu Heyi was her alpha.
She could barely hold herself back. She wanted to release her pheromones to match the faint oolong tea scent on Yu Heyi, but that would let Yu Heyi know just how much her pheromones adored her.
She didn’t want to pretend anymore. She wanted to tell Yu Heyi.
At the parking lot, Chi Ruixi, face still red, finally calmed down.
“Put me down,” she said.
Yu Heyi was reluctant. Chi Ruixi was so nice to hold. The distance from the office to the parking lot wasn’t far, but she didn’t feel tired at all. She even wanted to keep carrying her.
But if she didn’t let go, Chi Ruixi would probably get upset again.
Muttering an “Oh…,” she set Chi Ruixi down.
Once down, Chi Ruixi ignored Yu Heyi, limping toward her car. Yu Heyi chased after her. “Take my… car?”
Halfway through, Yu Heyi remembered she’d ridden her motorcycle today, not driven.
So…
“Chi Ruixi, give me the keys. I’ll drive.”
Would Chi Ruixi agree? No way. She didn’t even acknowledge Yu Heyi, just got into the driver’s seat and prepared to leave.
Seeing her about to go, Yu Heyi quickly stepped in front of the car, went to the window, and told Chi Ruixi to open the door. Chi Ruixi shook her head through the glass.
“Your leg’s not good for driving. I’ll drive,” Yu Heyi insisted.
She couldn’t understand why Chi Ruixi insisted on keeping things so separate.
Weren’t they married? Didn’t they say they’d work on their feelings?
How were they supposed to do that?!
She gripped the car handle tightly, refusing to let Chi Ruixi drive.
Chi Ruixi didn’t actually want to go back alone, but… her current state was clearly off. She was afraid she’d lose control and release her pheromones.
She was even more afraid Yu Heyi would notice.
But with Yu Heyi being so persistent… Chi Ruixi felt she couldn’t hold out.
In the end, she opened the door and let Yu Heyi drive them back.
She’d thought once they got home, Yu Heyi would let her be, giving her a chance to calm down. But as they stepped out of the elevator, Yu Heyi somehow produced two boxes of medicine.
“One’s for rubbing, one’s for eating.” She dangled the boxes in front of her, saying, “You can take the pill yourself, but I’ll help with the cream.”
Then she opened the door and let herself into Chi Ruixi’s apartment.
Their apartments had nearly identical layouts—two bedrooms, one living room. Yu Heyi looked around, expecting an omega’s place to be all pink and frilly, but Chi Ruixi’s wasn’t.
Her place was clean and simple, mostly black, white, and gray, much like Yu Heyi’s own.
“Aren’t you supposed to help me with the cream?” Chi Ruixi asked.
Seeing Yu Heyi inspecting every room, she couldn’t help but wonder what she was doing. Was she a real estate agent, checking out her place so thoroughly?
“Oh, right!” Yu Heyi said.
She opened the cream, squeezed some onto her hands, rubbed them together, and raised them to apply it to Chi Ruixi. Then she noticed… Chi Ruixi was wearing an A-line skirt and black stockings.
“You should… take off the stockings,” Yu Heyi said.
She hadn’t really noticed while carrying her, but now… Chi Ruixi was half-reclining on the couch, legs curled up, and it was just too much, okay?
Thank goodness her legs weren’t stretched out, or Yu Heyi might’ve had a nosebleed looking at those long, straight legs.
But even now, she couldn’t help staring at Chi Ruixi’s legs.
Chi Ruixi blushed under her gaze, her eyes heating up.
“I’ll go change,” she said.
Then… her legs disappeared from Yu Heyi’s view. Yu Heyi stood there, hands raised, waiting for her to return.
Chi Ruixi went to her room, closed the door, and stood in front of her wardrobe, looking at her pajamas.
After going through them twice, she concluded she didn’t have many options.
She usually wore cotton pajamas. In her wardrobe, she had only two sexy ones. One was the one she wore at Yu Heyi’s place last time, bought when shopping with Jingwan, who’d said at her age, she should wear something sexier.
The other was one she’d secretly bought while shopping with Chi Ying, planning to wear it for Yu Heyi.
Hesitating between the two, Chi Ruixi chose the new red silk nightdress.
After putting it on, her face flushed. She’d bought it in a rush and hadn’t realized how short the hem was…
It barely covered her hips, leaving most of her thighs exposed.
When she walked out, Yu Heyi was still standing with her hands raised, staring at her.
Her gaze was intense and fiery. Chi Ruixi touched her face and hair nervously. Thankfully, she’d let her hair down—it should hide her flushed face and ears a bit…
She walked to the couch, sat beside Yu Heyi with her legs crossed, and tried to keep her voice calm. “Since we’re applying the cream, shorter is better, right?”
“…” Yu Heyi didn’t respond, her gaze growing even hotter.
Still staring at her legs, Chi Ruixi could see nothing but her own legs reflected in Yu Heyi’s eyes.
“Yu Heyi?” Chi Ruixi waved a hand in front of her.
“Move your hand…” Yu Heyi felt Chi Ruixi’s hand was in the way, blocking her view of those legs.
Chi Ruixi didn’t quite catch it. “What did you say?” she asked, a bit louder.
The volume snapped Yu Heyi out of it. Realizing what she was doing, her face reddened too. She turned away, saying awkwardly, “Nothing, let’s apply the cream!”
Right, she was here to apply the cream!
Forcing her gaze to Chi Ruixi’s injured knee, she placed her hands there and gently rubbed…
Gradually, Yu Heyi’s heart calmed. Looking at Chi Ruixi’s injured knee, she felt a pang of heartache, cursing Zheng Qin in her mind.
“Hiss… it hurts a bit,” Chi Ruixi said. Yu Heyi paused, looking up at her.
Chi Ruixi’s voice was soft and sweet, surprising even herself. Yu Heyi’s warm touch made her feel tingly as the cream was applied.
She hadn’t expected her voice to come out so soft.
With Yu Heyi staring at her again, she blushed, turned her head, and said quietly, “Keep going.”
“Okay.” Yu Heyi’s lips curled up. Was Chi Ruixi being coy just now? Definitely.
After applying the cream, Yu Heyi washed her hands in the bathroom, got a glass of water, and brought the pill for Chi Ruixi to take.
A white pill lay in her palm. Chi Ruixi glanced at it, pouted, and looked away.
Yu Heyi didn’t notice, handing her the water. “This is for improving bl00d flow. It’ll help you heal faster.”
Chi Ruixi didn’t take it, saying in a slightly coy tone, “Didn’t we already apply the cream?”
