After Going on a Blind Date With My Omega Love Rival (ABO, GL) - Chapter 7
Chapter 7
For a whole week, Yu Heyi lost count of how many times she kissed the tear mole by Chi Ruixi’s eye, watching her pant and cry in her arms.
As time passed, Yu Heyi felt disoriented, like she’d lost track of the years. Chi Ruixi seemed insatiable, always clinging to her except when sleeping.
When Yu Heyi closed her eyes, she saw Chi Ruixi gripping the sheets, her restrained yet blissful sounds echoing in her ears. Even her dreams were of Chi Ruixi. At first, this feeling unsettled Yu Heyi, but over time, she grew addicted. Having tasted Chi Ruixi’s sweet peach flavor, she knew how soft and yielding its owner was—those teary, delicate eyes fixed only on her, calling her name with a sob at certain moments.
Chi Ruixi’s pheromones mingled with her own scent, making Yu Heyi feel, in fleeting moments, that the Omega in her arms belonged to her.
Only her.
“Mmm… I’m okay,” Chi Ruixi said, getting up from the bed. Her face was still slightly flushed, but her eyes were clear, no longer dazed like the past few days.
Yu Heyi knew Chi Ruixi’s heat was over, but a twinge of unease stirred in her heart.
They say Omegas grow attached to an alpha’s pheromones after being marked.
But what about alphas? As Chi Ruixi left her arms to shower, Yu Heyi watched her back, suddenly reluctant to let her go.
The room was still filled with their mixed peach-oolong pheromone, but her hands no longer held Chi Ruixi’s warmth.
Irritated, Yu Heyi buried herself in the bed.
She felt a pang of regret. If she’d known… maybe she should’ve marked her permanently.
Just moments ago, Chi Ruixi had begged for a permanent mark again, but Yu Heyi held back. If she did, she’d be fine, but if Chi Ruixi regretted it… removing a mark was painful and could damage the gland. What would Chi Ruixi do then?
Yu Heyi chuckled softly. What was she thinking? She hadn’t marked her permanently, so why worry about something that didn’t happen?
Why worry about Chi Ruixi at all? She was her rival!
Even if Chi Ruixi was now an Omega, it didn’t change that Yu Heyi disliked her—then and now.
But why the reluctance? Yu Heyi was confused. This was her first time being so close to an Omega. Before Chi Ruixi, she’d only ever liked Jingwan, and that went nowhere.
So, Chi Ruixi was her first—her first everything.
Was that why?
Before she could sort it out, Chi Ruixi came out, toweling her hair. She wore Yu Heyi’s casual clothes. Post-heat, she’d lost her delicate allure, looking fresh and pure, like when they first met at the restaurant.
But having seen Chi Ruixi’s other side, Yu Heyi thought differently. How could someone so pure-looking be so… irresistible in bed?
From the moment Chi Ruixi appeared, Yu Heyi’s eyes didn’t leave her. Chi Ruixi’s lips curved slightly, but the smile faded fast. She walked to Yu Heyi.
Seeing her face up close, Yu Heyi snapped back, then looked away, scolding herself for staring. So embarrassing—why keep looking? It’s not like she hadn’t seen her plenty already!
Ugh! Thinking this, Yu Heyi wanted to curse herself. What was she even thinking?
“Um…”
“I’ll take responsibility. I’ll fulfill my alpha duties.”
After saying this, Yu Heyi glanced at Chi Ruixi. Her eyes blinked, but she showed no other reaction. Suddenly, Yu Heyi felt uneasy. In her mind, doing this meant she had to take responsibility.
Even without a permanent mark, she knew she was Chi Ruixi’s only alpha for now, so she should be responsible.
“I’ll treat you well, be considerate.”
Expecting no reaction, Yu Heyi was surprised to see Chi Ruixi smile faintly—but something seemed off about it.
So she added, “But don’t expect love.”
Saying that, Yu Heyi felt scummy. Was this what a responsible alpha would say?
Sure enough, Chi Ruixi’s smile vanished.
Yu Heyi’s face heated, embarrassed by her own harsh words. She was about to say something else when Chi Ruixi let out a soft, mocking laugh.
Then she heard Chi Ruixi say, “No need.”
Chi Ruixi left, but the peach scent lingered, making Yu Heyi restless. Even if she was dense, she could tell Chi Ruixi was upset by her words.
But… she didn’t think she was wrong.
What love was there between her and Chi Ruixi now?
As a simple-minded person, Yu Heyi hated complications. To her, there was only like or dislike. Her lingering feelings for Chi Ruixi, she chalked up to AO pheromones at work.
She offered to take responsibility, and Chi Ruixi rejected her.
Her words might’ve been scummy, but they were true.
At most, she could stop disliking Chi Ruixi. Like her? Not really.
It was the pheromones affecting her.
So, Yu Heyi showered, washing off Chi Ruixi’s scent, opened the windows to air out the peach pheromone, and tidied up.
After, she lay down and slept soundly.
Her thick nerves missed a lot—like how Chi Ruixi left wearing her shirt, soaked in her pheromones.
After her shower, Chi Ruixi had felt a moment of shyness when Yu Heyi stared. Yu Heyi might not realize how intense her gaze was, like when she drove Chi Ruixi to ecstasy.
It wasn’t just Yu Heyi who felt Chi Ruixi’s eyes were only on her—Chi Ruixi felt the same.
Wrapped in oolong tea for a week, she was captivated by everything about Yu Heyi—her gaze, her shirt, her scent, her fingers.
She barely held back a smile, but quickly suppressed it. They weren’t in that kind of relationship yet.
Hearing Yu Heyi’s first words warmed her heart, but the second snapped her back. Their relationship was just… Yu Heyi helping her through her heat.
That’s all.
She didn’t need Yu Heyi’s so-called responsibility. It wasn’t necessary. A temporary mark wouldn’t change much. She’d just treat Yu Heyi like a suppressant.
A really effective one.
Back in her own space, Chi Ruixi collapsed on her bed, exhausted. She still wore Yu Heyi’s shirt, rich with oolong tea pheromone.
She tugged the collar and inhaled deeply—it was Yu Heyi’s scent…
Her face flushed, and inappropriate images flashed in her mind: Yu Heyi’s strong shoulders, the warmth of her embrace.
But recalling Yu Heyi’s words, Chi Ruixi bit her lip, feeling wronged. She knew Yu Heyi held a grudge, but saying that was too much.
Good thing Yu Heyi hadn’t heard her whisper yesterday, near the end, “I like you.”
Really like you.
